Argh @Zest11!!! Oh my goodness!! Amazing. Another tentative bit of excitement from Kitty Kat! That's great that you've gone up to 2-3. I stepped away after that as it stressed me out too much. Does your clinic do blood tests? I found that more reassuring. Oh my goodness. So happy right now as I waddle off for my flu jab Smile

@zest11 - we must have had our FET on the same day, as my OTD is Monday as well! If this works for us, we are going to be due around the same time!
I'm not trying the digital ones yet as I do wonder how they manage to calculate the weeks as everyone produces a different amount of HCG.
Have you told your DH yet? I'm glad you did it and at least this shows you can get pregnant! Congratulations!!

Ginandtonic31 · 25/10/2019 17:43

Ooo exciting @Mrbay and @Zest11. Every pregnancy has to start somewhere so there's no reason to believe it will be a chemical! How many days part transfer are you? Also I had no symptoms at all after transfer so try not to symptom spot!

Talking of jabs @KittyKatSmile I can't remember when the midwife said have whooping cough?!

Zest11 · 25/10/2019 17:47

@KittyKatSmile Thank you. Yes they do but I was convinced it wouldn't work and so I told them I wouldn't be in for the hcg as I didn't want to "drive all the way to "X" for a blood test!" Good luck with your flu jab! I'm trying so so hard to let myself enjoy this, however long it may last!

Zest11 · 25/10/2019 17:56

@mrbay Yes, I think my transfer was around the same time as yours. Please please don't tell me your (our?!!) due date yet. I have simply refused to count the weeks at this stage. I have no idea how you have managed to keep it a secret from your DH. I almost fell off the toilet in shock and then he was woken up at 6am to me butt naked waving a stick in his face!! When are you going to tell yours? Yes I am glad I did it now as it has definitely shown that IVF can speed things along regardless of what happens next.

@Ginandtonic31 thank you. Yes that is true, they do have to start somewhere. And you are so so right about symptoms. I just wish I could trust my body.

Cauliflower82 · 25/10/2019 19:20

@Zest11 yay!! I’m so hopeful for you, so hopeful. I’m praying everything goes smoothly. It’s funny, like @KittyKatSmile I stopped testing when it said 2-3 weeks too. It was kind of freaking me out how it should say 3+ but it wasn’t. Don’t worry about keeping it under wraps, totally understandable.

@Mrbay I don’t want to be one of those annoying people but I remember having the most intense cramping around the time we were due our test. They were so severe. I’m hoping for you too - it would be so lovely to see you both have success stories this time round.

@KittyKatSmile aww why Pip can’t wait to see his cardigan, gender neutral or not. I totally knew Pip was a boy - in my head I would have went into utter shock if he’d turned into a girl!! You’ve done so well not finding out - it’ll be a lovely surprise. I’m excited to know what you’re having. I hope your flu jab went well - I had the bitch done on Wednesday and my arm went all red and swollen. Totally normal now though, all looking good.

I’ve probably missed some updates out but I’ve tried not to. I’m loving the activity again on here - so good!! Me and the husband went a bit crazy today and bought our pram and all of our nursery furniture, ooh and a yellow coat for Pip and a little dungaree set. Oops.

@mouse1234567 I hope you’re doing okay. Thinking of you.

Cauliflower82 · 25/10/2019 19:21

@Zest11 oops I did forget something - nope, my half term was this week and tbh I’ve spent the majority of the time with my dog sleeping and eating 🙊

Cauliflower82 · 25/10/2019 19:21

@Zest11 will you be getting up to much? Is this your break up day? I hate this term - the worst one ever, alongside spring of course.

Mrbay · 25/10/2019 19:23

11 days post 5dft. @ginandtonic31 I've just not taken it in yet and I don't want to get excited until I have the 6weeks scan.
That is a point, when is the 6week scan? I know that sounds stupid but 4weeks from now?
@zest11 - that's how I feel, but at my transfer, i was pretty chilled about it all as I thought I'm not at the end of the road yet!
I didn't want to tell him as I was cramping so bad I thought my period was on its way.
I've told him now, we cried together! Then he wanted to see a fresh test so I did my magic trick!! I'm taking that getting positives with afternoon non held wee is a good thing

Mrbay · 25/10/2019 19:33

@califlower82 - we cross posted!
Yep, last night I thought I had some thing else going on, it was so intense!
Love a little dungarees set! So cute!!

KittyKatSmile · 25/10/2019 19:48

@Mrbay oh well done you lovely thing! 6 week scan will be 2 weeks from now (ish) as when you do the test you are 4 weeks pregnant. I would recommend pushing it to 7 weeks if your clinic will do it and if you can wait, only because 6 weeks is sometimes too early to see a heartbeat and then you'll have an agonising wait.

@Cauliflower82 which pram?! I'm in pram hell at the moment. No I'm not, I'm just not thinking about it.

Good lord, I'm so excited.

And this is Pip's cardigan, if you'd like it:

@KittyKatSmile oh my goodness, I absolutely adore it. It’s so beautiful and so kind, thank you ☺️. You really are a fabulous knitter. Go you! I am not skilled in that department at all. We ended up going for the bugaboo Cameleon - got quite a nice deal on it too from mamas and papas. It fits in my tiny little car, although I do need to take the back wheels off but hey ho. I just loved how lightweight it felt when zooming it around the shop 🙊. Are you stuck between particular styles?

@Mrbay I’m with kitty again. I had one at almost 6 weeks and had to go back for a 7 week one to hear his heartbeat. I hate all the waiting and although it gets a tiny bit easier the anxiety surrounding scans never really leaves.

@Ginandtonic31 I keep meaning to check in with you more :). You were such a huge help when I was going through such a difficult time. You all were to be honest. It’s all the biggest emotional rollercoaster. I hope you’re well.

mouse1234567 · 25/10/2019 20:43

Hi all,

So pleased to hear your news @Mrbay @Zest11 hope you can manage to enjoy the news a little -but I think we all know too well that it is hard to relax at this point.

I had my second scan at the EPU today and unbelievably they saw a fetus measuring correctly for 6w5d and a heart beat of 130-140 which apparently is where it should be at this stage. Obviously it’s good news, but with the bleed last week and my repeat HCG coming back last week rising slowly I’m remaining very cautious. I had fully prepared for bad news and now I think it’s almost kinder to myself to stay expecting the worst, but I can feel hope creeping in which worries me a little. My viability at my clinic is next week at 7w5d so I think that will be good to see what’s going on then. Also I have eaten so badly in the last week with so much sugar and back on dairy and gluten-need to be healthy again-but also almost shows you diet isn’t that important!

Still absolutely no symptoms. I don’t know if Im lucky or unlucky!

Hope everyone is getting on ok.

mouse1234567 · 25/10/2019 20:47

@Mrbay scan wise at 6w5d the doctor found it easy to find heartbeat -but I know all babies develop at different speeds so perhaps nearer 7 weeks if u can wait?

Ginandtonic31 · 25/10/2019 21:10

@KittyKatSmile I haven't looked at prams either yet. I think I might try looking this weekend in case there are any Black Friday deals and at least then I know what I'm going for. And my mum is pushing me (not in a pram). Online I like the look of Ickle Bubba as it's so cheap as well!

Ooo @KittyKatSmile that little cardigan is lovely! You're doing so much shopping. I haven't done my cross stitch for about two months!

@Cauliflower82 I'm glad we are both feeling more positive 😊 just shows how tough the first few weeks can be!

@MrbayIf it helps I was booked for a scan at 6 weeks and there was a little heartbeat at 6weeks 1 day. Had another at 7 weeks too.

I've decided nursery furniture. Mainly Ikea! I've built an Ikea Pax wardrobe on the online builder and will order in January. I've two other bedrooms to decorate and buy wardrobes for first! This pic was my inspiration.

I'm nervous about test driving a car tomorrow as I hate spending money and wanted to wait until after mat leave really!

KittyKatSmile · 25/10/2019 21:20

@mouse1234567, such a relief for you. I predict a little boy buddy for Pip there. Hang on in there. And don't worry about the food. Oh. Or the lack of symptoms; I also used to worry about that but having puked over a dog shit, I wish I'd enjoyed that time more!! The IVF drugs often mask symptoms as well so try not to worry too much xx

@Ginandtonic31 your photo didn't come through. Resend! I'm doing no shopping at all. Although I did do the John Lewis nursery visit this week which I'd really recommend. Whooping cough is anywhere between 16 and 32 weeks; I think they told me to arrange it post 20 week scan.

Pram wise I think maybe uppababy. My mum says her and my dad will buy it for me, which is kind. They are also divorced so I'd love to hear whether she has sign off on that offer!!

I'm taking a break from my book and instead watching a very light hearted documentary on the Korean War Grin

@mouse1234566 oh that's so lovely to hear Happy for you but completely feel and understand your caution. As you say definitely good news...a heartbeat is fantastic!I hope the next week goes as quickly and as smoothly as possible for you.

@Cauliflower82 your half term sounds like it has been perfect and nice and relaxing. Yes today was break up day. We are going to London Sunday/Monday for a visit. Will have a nice mooch I expect. Will be relaxing and seeing friends the rest of the time so hopefully I will be distracted. Yes you and @KittyKatSmile might be right with the testing. I looked at the different threshholds and the 2-3 range seems quite broad so it could take a while to get to 3+. Kittykat your knitting is so good. Let me get this right...whilst you're sorting the accounts and managing assets, you're actually at the gym? But when you're really at the airports you're knitting on a flight? Who are you and how do you do everything?!! Grin

@Mrbay Yayyy you told your husband. So pleased for you both! And great about testing in the afternoon. Yes I was much more chilled this time too. I thought ahh well I'll still have 3 embryos left after this and I have/had decided to pay for another full fresh cycle too.

Ginandtonic31 · 25/10/2019 21:53

Forgot to add my amazing wardrobe photo 😂

Just having a bath for the first time in 20 weeks. I miss it being red hot!

Mrbay · 26/10/2019 12:15

Thanks girls, I'll push for as late as possible.
@kittykatsmiles - you are an ace knitter! I love it!!
@mouse123567 - I'm glad you've got some good news but sorry that it's not reassured you 100%. As long as you are staying away from the deffo no nos (food wise), you're fine 😊

Ref pram, I think I'm going to have to investigate off roaders and baby carriers.

@Zest11 - sounds like my attitude this time!
Now the OH has been told, I have 100% free rein to get him to run to the shop whenever the baby (me) wants sweets!!

@Ginandtonic31 - I am so jealous, I am desperate for a bath, that is my first question on Monday!

Ginandtonic31 · 26/10/2019 13:53

@Mrbay you're fine if it's not boiling. I've just come back from Dubai where it was 40 degrees every day 😂

Cauliflower82 · 26/10/2019 14:54

@Ginandtonic31 how are you finding warm baths? They leave me so dissatisfied that I’ve not had one now for so long. I need my bath scorching so it’s a big no no for me at the moment. I figured a hot shower isn’t as bad as I can’t do warm showers either.

KittyKatSmile · 26/10/2019 15:40

@Cauliflower82 I've been having 'hottish' baths. Have had 4 this week as really struggle to warm up if I get cold. Tiny has carried on dancing so I figure it's fine Grin

OP posts:
Ginandtonic31 · 26/10/2019 17:05

@Cauliflower82 I'm exactly the same! That's why I haven't had one since I've been pregnant! It was okay. But I was cold 😂if I don't want to faint when I get out and need a lie down I'm not happy.

Ginandtonic31 · 26/10/2019 17:14

We spent an hour and a half in a pram shop today. We both quite liked the Oyster 3 so might end up going for that. We'll see. My parents are also buying it but I feel guilty asking for something that's £900.

Zest11 · 26/10/2019 19:16

@cauliflower82 and @Ginandtonic31 Ha! I am exactly the same with baths...red all over and struggling to breathe. This winter has the potential to be very tough!

Glad you are all enjoying the baby shopping!
