Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

@Kaypee28 it’s a tough one, people say opks are not accurate on clomid but I like to at least see. They said not to use fmu but I did and on cd15 I had the strongest lines all day. If you’re going to use opks I would defo recommend using twice a day as some peoples surges can last only hours.

I took one round of clomid and got pregnant unfortunately ended in miscarriage last week. I’m on 50mg and I was told to take on the 2nd day on my period, classing the first day as the day you wake up bleeding. That was 3-7 last time.
I’ve never had a positive opk before this clomid cycle so I can’t say what day I usually ovulate

They are better pics and they’re defo getting darker. We dtd every other day from cd 9. As long as you’re doing that, you’re doing all you can!

Don’t worry about all the questions. I would have been lost without this group. We’re in it together 😃
I can’t wait to start my next round. Just hope it works quickly and baby is all good this time ❤️

@seven201 glad you had a good sleep. Keep those feet up!

Jemstar33 · 02/08/2019 06:49

I used fmu as I don’t have time for two pees before I leave the house for work 😂

girlrunningoncheese · 02/08/2019 08:26

@Jemstar33 where are you in your cycle now? Hope you get to start the next round soon!

BFN for me this morning which i was expecting after 2 days of spotting but still a bit of a letdown. Was a bit upset (also randomly gained 3lbs this week when trying to lose weight so doubly pissed off as it wasn't even a baby-related reason haha!) but then AF arrived as proper flow so I'm now feeling much better as I can crack straight on with taking the Clomid again tomorrow. Also I have my parents visiting this weekend and I haven't seen them for a couple of months so really looking forward to getting a big hug from my mum Smile so hopefully that will be a nice distraction.

How is everyone else feeling this morning?

Jemstar33 · 02/08/2019 08:31

@girlrunningoncheese it’s been 11 days since my mc. I’m not sure when to expect my period. Could be weeks away.

Sorry AF showed but yes defo crack on with the clomid! That’ll be a lovely weekend. My mum is also coming to visit on Monday for a few days, I can’t wait.

The lbs could be from clomid, I couldn’t stop eating on it! X

Kaypee28 · 02/08/2019 08:50

@Jemstar33 so sorry to hear about your Mc, it's heartbreaking I had one last year after getting pregnant on clomid.

Thank you for answering all my questions it's so nice to have someone to talk to about all this xx

Jemstar33 · 02/08/2019 09:08

@Kaypee28 thank you, sorry to hear about yours too. Have you been on clomid ever since? Xx

Kaypee28 · 02/08/2019 09:28

No I tried a couple of months with no success but realistically I wasn't in the right frame of mind. I was stressed, also worked with children and the side effects were too much so I stopped.

I have 4 months worth here that I'm trying on my own (I know, I know, I shouldn't be) just while I wait for my next fertility app which I will be getting more anyway, I've had all the tests, tubes, sperm, reserve etc I just won't know if or when I ovulate which is rubbish.

How long have you been on it? Xx

girlrunningoncheese · 02/08/2019 10:42

@Jemstar33 I'm sorry, I didn't realise it was such a short time since your mc fingers crossed you don't have to wait too long for AF to reappear. But it will be nice to have your mum visit - hope you can have a nice time with her and take your mind off things a bit!

@Kaypee28 Thanks for you too. Hope restarting the Clomid does the trick for you.

Jemstar33 · 02/08/2019 11:37

@Kaypee28 I get that, you do need to be in a good frame of mind.

I don’t blame you for going at it alone, docs don’t listen and everything takes forever! I’ve only done that one round.

@girlrunningoncheese thank you

Kaypee28 · 02/08/2019 12:21

@Jemstar33 they definitely do and to be honest with all my research and the lack of knowledge on PCOS sometimes I feel like I know more than them.

Oh that's good that the first round worked that's a good thing I suppose, hopefully the second will aswell. What dose are you on?

Jemstar33 · 02/08/2019 15:56

@Kaypee28 that’s the only thing keeping me going at the minute. Hoping that the next one work. I’m on 50mg, you?

Kaypee28 · 02/08/2019 16:08

@Jemstar33 I'm on 50mg aswell, that's all I needed the last time. I'm
On metformin aswell.

When I tried after my mc I tried 50 & 100mg (monitored) but they didn't work and side effects with 100 were too much so I'm hoping this 50 will work.

Fingers crossed xx

Jemstar33 · 02/08/2019 16:13

@Kaypee28 fingers crossed for you this time around. Hoping it works for the both of us xx

Doris19 · 02/08/2019 19:44

Another one here on 50mg! Scan next weds for this cycle.

Had my Hycosy today, it was way easier than I do Ceres. Was so nervous having read stories online but luckily for me it was no worse than a smear test and everything was all clear! 🥳
Just waiting for DH sperm analysis to come back next week....

Weirdly, would almost rather there was an identifiable issue so that we had an obvious path forward rather than "unexplained" 🤷‍♀️

@Bezalelle acupuncture didn't make me feel that relaxed (it was a bit cold in the room!) but I did feel woozy after and slept really well !

Jemstar33 · 03/08/2019 12:44

Hi @Doris19 glad your hycosy went well. I think I’m going to look into one of those too.
Hope DH results are goo. I get what you mean about wanting there to be a clear issue so you know how to fix it!

I’ve had a good reading on my ovulation test today, I may still be all over the place with the mc but the haven’t been this strong all week

Doris19 · 03/08/2019 13:34

@Jemstar33 thanks 😊
we have a follow up next Friday to go through all the test results 🤞

And yep wow, that looks like a very good one to me!

Flashesofrage · 03/08/2019 15:37

@Doris19 great to hear a positive Hycosy story! 😆
I know exactly what you mean about almost wanting a defined problem so then you know where to go with it! So true 😊

@Jemstar33 here’s hoping this cycle goes better for you Flowers

I temp super accurately using a TempDrop wearable sensor, I’ve never had a chart that looked so normal 🤩🤣
Really, really hoping my temp stays up tomorrow and I can actually say that Clomid made me ovulate!!! That would be such a huge success in itself!

Kaypee28 · 03/08/2019 16:20

@Flashesofrage what's your wearable temp thingy? I'd love one.

I'm cd19 no idea if I've ovulated yet or not, super emotional. Don't know wether to cry or rage at someone! So unbelievably nackered and craving sugar/carbs which then make me feel more rubbish. How does everyone else feel on clomid? X

Kaypee28 · 03/08/2019 18:06

Lines are defo getting darker arnt they? Mabye I'm getting ready to ovulate does anyone else feel crappy up to ovulation?

Flashesofrage · 03/08/2019 20:49

@Kaypee28 it looks like it’s getting there for sure!
🤞

www.temp-drop.com/
I use a “TempDrop” it’s a little datalogging sensor that fits into an armband. You wear it on your upper arm every night, the algorithms when you upload data adjust for any small disturbances like getting up to pee!
It means that you just get up whenever and sync your data to your phone and it is adjusted for accuracy.

I didn’t have any remotely positive OPKs this month so I’m glad I have such accurate temperature data. I’ve attached what my cycles usually look like!!! 😵

Flashesofrage · 03/08/2019 20:51

Oh and I forgot to say @Kaypee28, I’ve been feeling exhausted and headachey all week too 👍

I just ate junk food all week and couldn’t help myself lol

Kaypee28 · 03/08/2019 22:33

@Flashesofrage it looks great but a bit out of my price range 😫 I was planning to not obsess over things this month but that hasn't gone to plan, the opks are exciting me tho, I ovulated cd22 last time on clomid so it could be that way again xx

Goingbacktokansascity · 04/08/2019 09:42

On holiday, day 32, took 3 pregnancy tests with me and all negative. Reckon I didn’t ovulate this cycle hence while it’s getting longer. So frustrating.

Kaypee28 · 04/08/2019 12:02

@Goingbacktokansascity did you do opks or temp? You could have ovulated later?

Goingbacktokansascity · 04/08/2019 13:10

Did OPKs and the darkest was around CD 14 but no peak, temp super inaccurate for me too - all over the place!
