Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

Hi @Doris19 good luck with your first round.

Can I ask what CP and hycosy are?

seven201 · 30/07/2019 21:10

@Doris19 I had a hycosy - it was absolutely fine. Not fun, but fine.

seven201 · 30/07/2019 21:11

@girlrunningoncheese I had 190 and my consultant said that could be 3-4 eggs released.

seven201 · 30/07/2019 21:14

I had my ovarian drilling, laparoscopy (to try and unblock my blocked tube) and flush through and dye test thingy today under a general. I'm still in the hospital waiting to see the doctor to see how it went. I've not had a wee yet so it's looking likely I'll have to stay overnight. I feel ok, just tired mainly. I nearly threw up earlier but have had anti sickness meds now. Just want to see the doctor to see if it worked! It's been a looong day.

seven201 · 30/07/2019 21:14

@Doris19 I really enjoyed my acupuncture sessions. Slept so well afterwards too. Don't be nervous

girlrunningoncheese · 30/07/2019 21:42

@seven201 oh that is interesting. Were you told to stop trying in case of multiples then?

Gosh, what a day you have had! Hope you're not feeling too bad and manage to get some sleep if they do keep you in.

squirrelnutkins1 · 30/07/2019 21:43

@seven201 ah hope you're doing ok. I had lap and dye in Jan and I felt awful after. I projectile vomited 😳🙈 hope they give you some good meds to help with any pain. Make sure you rest rest rest. Let us know how you've got on with your results xx

Doris19 · 30/07/2019 21:58

@seven201 you poor thing, hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and feel better in the morning thanks for the feedback on Hycosy. xx

Doris19 · 30/07/2019 22:01

@Jemstar33 a CP is a chemical pregnancy ie very early miscarriage, and a Hycosy is a kind of scan where they put liquid through your tubes to check for any blockages. My fertility clinic have scheduled it for me as I have a history of endometriosis. Apparently it also improves fertility as a kind of "clean out" 🤞🤞🤞

I'm not having the trigger either, tempted to ask for it next cycle though!

Jemstar33 · 30/07/2019 22:22

@seven201 I hope you’re feeling ok. Take the time in the hospital to recharge you’ll need a lot of rest.

@Doris19 ah ok I think I may ask for the hycosy too I have a history of endo also. I’m trying to stay positive that I won’t need either though 😃

seven201 · 30/07/2019 22:36

Thank you everyone. Doctor said the tube clearing was successful! I'm in a taxi on the way home. Going to eat celebratory Jaffa cakes when I get in!

@girlrunningoncheese he reduced my dose from 100mg to 50mg.

squirrelnutkins1 · 30/07/2019 22:54

I have stage 3 endo and I conceived 7 weeks after my lap. Sadly ended in mc but I can't see it was a coincidence.... never been pregnant before in 18 months of trying and then all of a sudden after the lap we caught.... surgeon said 4-6 months following lap were my best chance.

seven201 · 30/07/2019 23:05

Oh that's interesting @squirrelnutkins1 !
Sorry about the mc though.

Jesskir89 · 30/07/2019 23:08

@seven201 I had the same last Nov take it easy for the next couple of days and fingers crossed this will help you get your bfp! @Jemstar33 how you doing?

Doris19 · 30/07/2019 23:13

I conceived my DC1 2 months after lap for stage 4 endo and my consultant said similar. Of course I was quite young then and incredibly naive about the whole thing. Now struggling with secondary infertility...

great news @seven201 enjoy those Jaffa's you deserve them!!!

seven201 · 31/07/2019 02:00

Thank you ladies Smile

Jemstar33 · 31/07/2019 05:00

@seven201 all comments sound positive! Got my fingers crossed for you. Hope you’re not in too much pain.

Hi @Jesskir89 I’m doing ok thanks. Really struggling with headaches the past few days and not sleeping great but I’m back to work today and I think that will help with the sleeping. I’m hardly moving during the day and I’m napping a lot!
Just desperate to get trying again now.
How are you doing? Xxx

Jesskir89 · 31/07/2019 06:46

@Jemstar33 you've got a lot on your mind which won't help. Take it easy going back to work. Everything's crossed for your bfp again, you'll be at your most fertile now too. I'm doing ok thanks. Dh has had to go working in South Wales today for 2 and a half weeks so won't see him much but the house will be tidier lol just hope he makes my next scan x

Jemstar33 · 31/07/2019 06:57

@jesskir89 I hope he makes it too 🤞🏽
I’m going to start opks again today, i think they were giving me false positives. If not, bad on the clomid next cycle. Glad you’re doing good xxx

Goingbacktokansascity · 31/07/2019 15:29

@girlrunningoncheese my progesterone was 175 last year day 28 and the fertility nurse said to me “you’ve definitely released more than one egg, I’d be surprised if you’re not pregnant and for all you know could be octuplets. Let’s reduce the dose next month” and boom BFP with my little boy. That was on 7.5 when I’d failed to ovulate at all on 2.5 or 5. I’ll really be having my fingers crossed for you

Goingbacktokansascity · 31/07/2019 15:31

@Jemstar33 so sorry to hear about all this shit but you conceived on clomid so your part of the way there. If that’s any silver lining at all which it might not be. A close friend of mine had a CP on clomid and I went round with flowers and chocs and she was standing at the door with a huge grin because she knew she was finally ovulating so different folks different strokes and that🙈

girlrunningoncheese · 31/07/2019 15:40

@Goingbacktokansascity ah thank you for the positive thoughts! Glad it ended in a little boy for you Smile I think I might be starting AF today but it's hard to know as I haven't had a "real" period in 7 years (was on pill). But even if this month isn't the one, it's nice to know I respond to the Clomid.

girlrunningoncheese · 31/07/2019 15:43

@Jemstar33 hope your first day back at work has gone ok. Really sorry to read what a tough time you've been having.

Jemstar33 · 31/07/2019 17:44

How you doing @seven201

@girlrunningoncheese @goingbacktokansascity thank you both. Today went really well apart from the trains being delayed but was actually really good to get back to work and it’s taken my mind off everything. Going to go for a run tonight. Just try and get as healthy as I can be for next time. How you both doing? Xxx

Jemstar33 · 31/07/2019 17:47

@girlrunningoncheese I hope it isn’t AF! Keeping my fingers crossed for you
