Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

A friend of mine is planning on doing it (just because she was lucky with her fertility but had been scared she wouldn't be). I'm pretty certain my other half would be set against it. For me I couldn't do it local cause you'd always be wondering but maybe if I went to London or abroad. Tbh my little boy looks nothing like me I personally feel like nurture plays a much bigger role. Me next step would be adoption if my other half would go for it but he's dead set against it. Obviously though when it comes to something as big as a child you need to go with your heart 100% and however you feel that's right for you so I wouldn't push him into anything he didn't feel comfortable with x

@impatientmammy, i always try my hardest to wait until the day af is due but always cave around 10dpo. Lol x

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 22:31

When's your af due @AmyMaria2 mines due the 2nd x

AmyMaria2 · 24/07/2019 22:36

IVF'ers if you can do London take a look at ABC. They do a fixed price "mild" ivf for £2,500 which if you're issue is male factor or unexplained is highly rated. Gets rave reviews. There's a thread about it on here somewhere too. Supposedly CRGH have the best embryologists but they are therefore more expensive.

I've just started the consultation process, thinking about it likely in September.
Xx

My AF is due today, lots of pains but shes yet to show.

Had my GP appointment, she asked me a couple of questions regarding abdominal pain and discharge but all in all wasn't bothered about the cyst or the fluid she said the cyst was small and would probably disappear itself and with no other symptoms the fluid was likely to be nothing concerning and could just be related to this cycle. She is going to fax the report to my specialist gynaecologist to see if they want to see me sooner but she thinks another ultrasound in 6 weeks would suffice - by which point I will have had my next appointment with the gynaecologist.

seven201 · 25/07/2019 16:01

@Pinktruffle fingers crossed for you that af doesn't show up.

@doomkittycleo no he didn't mention my follicles. The ovarian drilling should help with that though. I don't really understand it at all to be honest. Which care fertility ivf place are you looking to use? If we need ivf I think I'm going to probably use a care fertility in kent as it's close to my work so will take that element of stress away a bit.

I too have heard great things about abc fertility. My friend has been using them, was previously with a London hospital but prefers abc.

doomkittycleo · 25/07/2019 16:17

@seven201, my closest one is Bolton, but it’s a satellite clinic that only does certain things and not the actual IVF.

For the actual IVF it would have to be Manchester. There aren’t many places near us that do it. Manchester or Liverpool are the closest to us.

seven201 · 25/07/2019 16:30

@doomkittycleo thanks for the info. In a way it's quite useful not having lots of places near you as too much choice is a bit overwhelming sometimes. I'm really pleased you've got a holiday booked in!

Jesskir89 · 25/07/2019 20:53

@doomkittycleo st Mary's in Manchester is where I was being referred to before my bfp and are one of the leading hospitals in the country for ivf I did a lot of research you should look into it if you don't catch from chlomid. I hope you all do though ladies everything is crossed for you and @Pinktruffle I hope af doesn't arrive today x

doomkittycleo · 25/07/2019 21:51

@Jesskir89 we definitely won’t catch from clomid now as I have stopped it due to over responding.

I’m hoping it has stirred things up in there and perhaps improved my chances of conceiving naturally.

I’ve already started the process with Care Fertility and done the initial consultation.

They are one of the leading clinics in the country too and I’ve had a good experience with them so far. (Bit pricier than some, but hey DP is paying, so I’ll let him worry about that).

They are just waiting on me to give the go ahead to start, but as I have my nhs review on 16th September, I decided to give myself until then to see if anything happens. Thing is because I don’t know whether I actually released any of the many follicles I had (and suspect one was a cyst), I don’t know whether I’ll get a full 2 cycles in by then. I really hope af comes soon so we can at least try.

Jesskir89 · 25/07/2019 23:04

@doomkittycleo best of luck and please keep me posted. I don't always get notifications so we keep checking in. And I've heard care fertility are good too :) x

Pinktruffle · 26/07/2019 00:02

AF has arrived but is quite light. Im nnot sites if I should start taking my Letrozole tomorrow or not. It doesnt seem to work anyway so I guess it won't make much difference.

Pinktruffle · 26/07/2019 00:02

*I'm not sure

squirrelnutkins1 · 26/07/2019 06:13

I was told to count cd1 when it's your first day of proper flow. Big hugs 💕ThanksTotally understand your frustrations. Hope you managed to sleep @Pinktruffle
I'm currently cd28 of month 23 ttc and every time I go to the loo I'm expecting AF 😩

gwen7896 · 26/07/2019 09:08

Morning,

So I've just got back from my scan following my 1st round of Clomid. The lining was ok but the follicles were too small so I've got to go back next week for another scan..

Have a nice day x

lori2019 · 26/07/2019 09:31

Did any of you suffer from incredibly heavy periods on clomid? I'm normally regular tampons for day 1 and then onto light. Had to buy super this time and changing every 2 hours. Never had this before.

doomkittycleo · 26/07/2019 10:12

Hurray!!! Never thought I’d be this happy to see af.

Once she buggers off we can start TTC again.

Does mad Af happy dance lol.

seven201 · 26/07/2019 19:34

@Pinktruffle I'm sorry but I don't know. Can you ring the hospital? Other people on here have said to count the first day as more Han just very light.

@doomkittycleo hurrah! I'm still waiting for mine. I think it will probably arrive just before my op - lovely

@gwen7896 good luck for next week.

@lori2019 I haven't seen a massive change with mine. I don't think it's unusual for the amount of flow to change quite drastically when on fertility meds.

gwen7896 · 26/07/2019 21:51

Thank you @seven201 :)

squirrelnutkins1 · 27/07/2019 08:13

Cd29 and I've just done a clear blue digital and got not preg ☹️💔 no sign of af yet. Not looking forward to the exhaustion on Letrazole again when she arrives 😒

seven201 · 27/07/2019 17:31

@squirrelnutkins1 sorry. You're not out yet though.

Goingbacktokansascity · 27/07/2019 17:33

@squirrelnutkins1 💐 fingers crossed a few more days and you could get a BFP if AF doesnt show up, but if you’re anything like me I don’t have the optimism anymore and just want to to hurry up to start the next cycle again

squirrelnutkins1 · 27/07/2019 21:21

@Goingbacktokansascity @seven201 thanks girlies. I feel like I'm about to come on today but then I felt like that before I got my bfp. Hmmm. We'll see what the next few days bring! X

Goingbacktokansascity · 28/07/2019 08:06

CD 25, about 9 days post ovulation (probably if I ovulated), I know I shouldn’t test today but I I know that I will. I go on holiday this afternoon and would love to surprise DH wiht some exciting news and also know whether I can drink 😂
