Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

Hi all may I join?
I'm just about to start my first cycle on clomid, 😬🙀🙀

I'm at CRGH, but also have a helpful GP. TTC cycle 10, age 37.

The initial tests showed a thyroid issue and so I'm also on levothyroxine, had one CP in the last year of TTC and now hoping the clomid will give things the push they need...

@seven201 great news!

seven201 · 23/07/2019 22:00

Thanks @squirrelnutkins1 and welcome @Doris19

AmyMaria2 · 23/07/2019 23:25

Does anyone know how many dpo you would usually feel 'implantation pains'?
Been having weird cramps, and sore boobs but not many days dpo so could be random! Thanks

Jesskir89 · 24/07/2019 06:13

@seven201 that's great news! I had laparoscopy last November to remove a polyp and to do the dye test :)

Flashesofrage · 24/07/2019 14:17

Loving reading all of your updates 😊

Hooray for your speedy surgery @seven201 👍

I’m feeling excited and optimistic, I’m on CD10 and have a normal looking chart so far this cycle! 😍

Felt like absolute crap the last two days tho. Headaches, nausea, ovarian pains, faintness, hot flushes!

Much better today and hoping for a little egg release in the next week sometime 🤞

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 15:03

@AmyMaria2 my BFP cycle I had an implantation bleed at 10dpo I think that's a bit late though. How many dpo are you? X

AmyMaria2 · 24/07/2019 15:07

@impatientmammy I thought it was abit early! I'm only 5dpo! Must be something else, haven't had any spotting or anything, just strange cramping quite low x

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 15:23

I think we're just soo in tune wit our body's right now it's soo hard to say I've been 99% sure I'm pregnant sooo many times in the past 22 months I'm sure I'll be convinced I'm pregnant again by the end of the month x

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 15:24

On another note my app thinks I'm also 5dpo so at least I have someone to be crazy with 😂 x

AmyMaria2 · 24/07/2019 16:09

@impatientmammy I know! Every month I say I'll wait and not start thinking crazy things but I'm already thinking I've got cramps and that I'm hungry all the time 😂😂 what dpo do you usually start testing? X

seven201 · 24/07/2019 18:41

@Jesskir89 if you don't mind me asking were you able to ttc the same month as the op or were you advised to wait a a month or so? I forgot to ask my consultant.

Good luck to those in the tww. I've never had the I feel pregnant feeing, including the month I conceived my dd!

squirrelnutkins1 · 24/07/2019 19:02

@seven201 the surgeon said to me just try when you're ready. X

seven201 · 24/07/2019 19:15

@squirrelnutkins1 Oh that's great news, thank you for sharing Smile

doomkittycleo · 24/07/2019 20:01

Hi all, sounds like everyone is ticking along nicely just waiting.

What awesome news about your surgery @seven201, that’s really quick. I hope it helps things along a bit. Did the Dr say anything about the many follicles at this appointment or was it just to discuss the laparoscopy?

I don’t know if I ovulated or just got an LH surge as my BBT never rose. It’s now CD26, but as my BBT isn’t following a normal pattern I have no idea when to expect af and it’s frustrating me. This Sunday will be 2 weeks since the positive opk, but not sure I can rely on that.

I just want this cycle to end so we can have another shot at TTC.

We’ve booked a holiday to Mallorca for September, hopefully having something to look forward to will help me to take my mind off it all.

My NHS follow up is a week after we get back off holiday, so that’s really my deadline (that I set myself), to start the ball rolling re ivf. I don’t know if I’ll need a repeat hycosy scan or any blood tests repeating first, but hopefully the nhs Dr that I see will sort any of that stuff out quickly.

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 20:39

Has anyone had to self fund ivf? I'm wondering about cost uk vs abroad. I get married August 2020 if I'm not pregnant I want ivf it will have been just under 3 years by then x

squirrelnutkins1 · 24/07/2019 20:41

@doomkittycleo I'm also cd26, cycle buddies!

@seven201 I got preg not long after. Ended in mc but seemed to work!

Goingbacktokansascity · 24/07/2019 21:07

@impatientmammy we had several consultations with private clinics in the UK prior to getting pregnant last time. Would you be eligible for nhs? We were eligible for NHS but we didn’t want to wait, we were going to go with a company called GCRM using a thing called access fertility which has a money back if no baby option

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 21:21

@Goingbacktokansascity I'm not eligible because I actually got very lucky first time round with a "surprise" baby. How much did it come to do you know? X

Goingbacktokansascity · 24/07/2019 21:23

The access fertility package we were going to go for was about £8000 but it really depends. Can vary from £2500 all the way up to tens of thousands. Best bet is to go in for a consultation

doomkittycleo · 24/07/2019 21:25

@impatientmummy, we’ll be having it privately if we don’t get a bfp soon.

I’ve screen shot the price lists, I’ll add pics for your reference.

I hope you can make that out, it’s come a bit blurry.

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 21:35

@AmyMaria2 sorry I missed you comment I have a short cycle anyway I only have a 12 day lleutal phase so I usually manage to wait till I'm due on unless it depends how many imaginary symptoms I get though 😂 you? X

impatientmammy · 24/07/2019 22:06

@doomkittycleo what's an egg sharer? My apps not showing me reply's till after I've been commenting I don't think so sorry everyone I'm really grateful for your responses
Thank you @Goingbacktokansascity I'm just being a negative Nancy really 🙈 I'd def go to consultations closer to the time x

doomkittycleo · 24/07/2019 22:19

@impatientmammy, they give you a pretty sizeable discount if you’re willing to donate some of your eggs to other couples who have poor egg quality.

I couldn’t do it though. Couldn’t cope with knowing I had children that were biologically mine knocking around that I didn’t even know anything about.
