Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

Just had my follow up scan. I have a cyst on my cervix, the cyst on my endometrium is still there, as is the fluid build up. She thinks I may have an infection which she said can cause infertility. I am feeling about as hopeless as I have ever felt.

Now I have to go back to the NHS and try and get some type of treatment for this suspected infection. I've made an appointment with my GP on Thursday, hopefully she will agree to deal with it because if I have to go back to the hospital, it'll take another year to deal with.

impatientmammy · 16/07/2019 18:42

Congratulations @Jemstar33 !!!
It's really shifty like @Pinktruffle I think ttc for a long time makes stuff like that a real kick in the gut.
I've just ugly cried for the third time this week I'm not sure if my mental health could take another round of letrezole. It's 100x worse than my clomid cycles were. Is it just ivf left after this? X

Pinktruffle · 16/07/2019 18:51

Yeah, IVF is the only option left for me if this doesn't work, bar some kind of miracle and I'm not the kind of person who gets miracles

impatientmammy · 16/07/2019 18:53

When's your af due @Pinktruffle ? Is this your last clomid cycle? X

seven201 · 16/07/2019 19:01

@Pinktruffle oh that is shitty! In a way though maybe it's what's been stopping conception and once it's gone you'll be able to get pregnant more easily. So it might be the diagnosis that's a game changer for you. Don't lose hope yet.

squirrelnutkins1 · 16/07/2019 19:07

@Jemstar33 fabulous news!

Pinktruffle · 16/07/2019 19:13

@impatientmammy my AF is due some time next week. I have one more cycle next month but not sure if it's worth taking at the moment because of the cysts.

@seven201 I really dont know, I think I am starting to give up hope. Everyone assured me things would be fairly straight forward after my miscarriage because 'it's happened once, it can happen again' but it just seems to be so much harder. I just want to curl in to a ball and cry

impatientmammy · 16/07/2019 19:30

Ahhh @Pinktruffle I missed your comment about the cyst @seven201 has made a very good point though at least if you know what's long it can be fixed. Hope your ok x

BelleSausage · 16/07/2019 19:33

I’ve found you all again!

Commented on the last thread and then kind of got lost.

Am on cycle two of Clomid now but hold out zero hope as DH has been so stressed by his new job we haven’t been doing it enough.

And my hair has started to fall out! Has anyone else had this?

impatientmammy · 16/07/2019 19:49

@BelleSausage I haven't however it is a hormonal thing as it happens to a lot of people after their children are born. Hopefully you got the important attempts in there x

BelleSausage · 16/07/2019 19:56

Thanks @impatientmammy sorry that things seem so rough for you at the moment. I hope things pick up this month. Flowers

seven201 · 16/07/2019 19:57

@Pinktruffle if you can afford to consider seeing a gynaecologist privately. My first appointment was £100 so it's not as expensive as you might think. Obviously the costs can rack up but just one appointment to have things explained to you might take some stress away and be worth it. Mine didn't make me pay for any extra blood tests or anything. I was very upfront at not wanting to pay for things I can't get away with not needing. Or try and see a good gp whilst you're waiting for the nhs. I find the not knowing so so crap. I had lost all hope after my appointment last week but am not so low this week.

Pinktruffle · 16/07/2019 20:12

Thanks @seven201. I'll see how it goes with my GP on Thursday and if no luck, I'll try private. If it is an infection, I want to get started on the antibiotics asap as the internet says you need a 14 day course and I would like to TTC again this month. I'm on half term from school now and this time is my best bet as I'm not stressed (in theiry)

Pinktruffle · 16/07/2019 20:13

*theory

seven201 · 16/07/2019 20:22

@Pinktruffle I hear you! I'm a teacher. August could be our chance 🤞. I really hope the gp can help - I can't see why they wouldn't be able to prescribe the antibiotics.

Jemstar33 · 16/07/2019 20:57

@Pinktruffle I had similar symptoms a few years back, I wasn’t TTC as the the time. I ended up going to a private clinic for laparoscopy because i was so sick of being passed around. They saw me within a week and operated on me 2 weeks later. They removed the cysts and diagnosed me with endo which was lasered. They couldn’t find a reason for the fluid but it had disappeared.

I hope you get some answers soon.
