New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

Great results @pleaseletitbeme and @2019isouryear....sorry to hear about your Aunty 2019

Hopingforbabyd · 25/04/2019 12:18

@pleaseletitbeme we were told they want to put 2 back which we are happy with. Very surprised as our clinic only like to put back 1.
@2019isouryear what a lovely way to think and I’m sure she is sending you lots of positivity x

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 12:45

Spoken to our clinic and we are 1 day transfer at day 5 🤞🏻 but could be reviewed if transfer is done at day 3. Feel better having spoken to them. Hope they are fighters and keep going

Ginandtonic31 · 25/04/2019 12:55

I would love 2 back in but they will only our 1 unless over 40 and I've had to sign to say that's ok

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 13:02

I’m over 40 (only just 😂) @Ginandtonic31 but our clinic still only does 1. My DH is nervous about the potential of 2, not so much cos of twins, altho that wud be a shock, but more the potential risks / complications to me, which I understand.

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 16:08

Starting on the pessaries tonight, which I assume won’t be to bad.

Deeny83 · 25/04/2019 16:33

Ok so i totally caved and did a test this afternoon, i got a bfp, im 11dp5dt and because its later in the day im hoping its not a false positive, im going to test again tomorrow and Saturday and then into clinic on monday for blood test. Been ttc for over 3 years and this is the 1st time ive ever had a positive test, my nerves are gone!!!

Congratulations @Deeny83 that is amazing news Grin Flowers I can’t see that being a false positive absolutely over the moon for you. I love the luck of this thread long may it continue x

Deeny83 · 25/04/2019 16:58

Thank you @2019isouryear i really hope it isn't, its been over 2.5 weeks since i took my trigger shot so im hoping that hcg is out of my system. Ill be getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow for another test lol

mouse1234567 · 25/04/2019 17:14

@Deeny83 congrats -I think that’s def a positive! When I did IUI they did a big 10 000 HCG trigger and it was out my system 13/14 days after and even then it was super faint before that. Congrats

Deeny83 · 25/04/2019 17:26

Ok thank you @mouse1234567, thats so reassuring, i was trying to go back and see if i have a record of the amount of hgc was in my trigger but can't find it. I'm literally excited one sec and nervous the next

@Deeny83 congratulations!! This is fantastic news! This thread sure is a lucky one 🥰💐

Hopingforbabyd · 25/04/2019 18:50

@Joijoijo welcome! I made my first thread back in February we maxed it out and this is the new one 😍 welcome! Stay with us on your journey the ladies are brilliant on here full of advice and support along the way. How are you feeling? What’s your story? Xx

Hopingforbabyd · 25/04/2019 18:53

@2019isouryear are you on 3 x pessaries? My clinic said to do them all in one go 😳 or throughout the day. Are you the same? The nurse made me howl she said “do you like cream cheese?” Hubbys face was a picture 😂 he said “well not now I don’t!!” 😂😂😂

Ginandtonic31 · 25/04/2019 18:54

Congrats @Deeny83 !!

Last week when we went to find out more about the FET she said I would go in for a blood test on 9dp5t! Seemed early. And then I thought would I wait for the blood test or test the night before?!

Ginandtonic31 · 25/04/2019 18:55

@Hopingforbabyd I've been told to put them up the rear by our nurse! Also mine come with no applicator!

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 19:01

@Hopingforbabyd is 1 tonight then 3 from tomorrow that I’ve been told to spread out -morning, afternoon, bedtime. Cream cheese 😂 🤢

@Ginandtonic31 the variation from clinic to clinic astounds me as my nurse specifically said not to put them up my rear.

Hopingforbabyd · 25/04/2019 19:02

@Ginandtonic31 oh my good lord 😳 the things we do eh. I have stack loads, I wish I could drop them to you x

Hopingforbabyd · 25/04/2019 19:03

@2019isouryear it cracks me up every time I buy Philadelphia 😂 bless you. Are you working during pessaries? X

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 19:07

@Hopingforbabyd no I’ve been lucky my clinic signed me off for 2 weeks from yesterday. I wasn’t expecting it but they do it for everyone under their treatment. Who am I to argue.
