New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

@Pleaseletitbeme good luck for wed. How have you found stims?

@Hopingforbabyd definitely only feels like yesterday that I started stims. Will be you and @AliceAbsolum next. I imagine the next part of the journey won’t feel so quick. Both excited and nervous for wed

No problems with any of the medication.
I’m on 350iu Gonal F.
Dreading EC- it was very unpleasant last time. I had a lot of pain both during and for a week afterwards.

Also hopping over from the previous thread - currently 5dp5dt after FET. Had a few cramps on Saturday and Sunday. Also have sore BB's but I know for sure that's the progesterone as I had that before the transfer!

And yes @mouse1234567 my embryo was graded 3BC, and google told me we had little hope, but so far so good. Was the best of a poor quality bunch as nothing else to freeze. And now we're measuring two days ahead, so an over achiever 😂
We have decided it didn't like the Petri dish and just wanted to be put home in my uterus to flourish

@Wesstywoo are you going to test early? I tested at 5dp5dt but I have zero willpower!!

@DaisyMay25 well DH wants me to wait until OTD on 1 May but I'm not sure I'll last quite that long! At the same time I'm nervous to know the result as that was our only frostie so I'd kind of rather not know just yet...

So happy we’re on the new thread 😁 welcome to @pleaseletitbeme and @missmonkeypenny the ladies who are on here (and I’m sure the others will pop over) are absolute diamonds and have all supported me and each other through the process. My thread almost maxed out I am overwhelmed at the responses as I posted in the hope to meet one buddy and now I have so many - I stop in my day while with friends and family to message back to my fertility friends it’s just lovely 🥰
@daisymay25 hoping you’re feeling better soon, I’m sure this is a sign for you and I’m certain it must be all the cheeky sunshine we’ve had this weekend along with all the meds you have had. You’re doing great! Keep strong!
@2019isouryear I can’t believe how quickly it’s all come around what time are you doing trigger?
@mouse1234567 brilliant numbers! And just as the others have said, it only takes one. It annoys me that they grade the embryos, I understand they do for success rates but I like to think in a normal situation we would be none the wiser and I’m pretty sure I wasn’t a top grade embryo 😄 but those numbers are looking great. Have they said when you can start FET? Apologies if you’ve already put it I’m still flicking between boards.

Oooo!...the alarms just gone to take my meds out the fridge 😍 starting my tummy injections along with leg tomorrow. I always had in my head it’d be tummy the whole way along so it threw me with it being in my thigh. Wish me luck for no blood tonight lol x

Hello all. Hopping over from the other thread. I’m currently on day 8 of stims. I had my first scan post starting stims today. My lining is looking good and I have 11 follicles on one ovary, none on the other. I had a cyst covering that ovary and I don’t think it’s recovered yet.

I have been stressing because I don’t want sedation and have kept being told I have to have it. I saw a different nurse today who immediately said she didn’t see a problem with no sedation and said she’d add that to my notes.

@Hopingforbabyd Had a bit of a flap doing it, couldn’t get the cap off and pushed the plunger slightly so was panicking I’d lost some of the liquid, which was only a very small blob. I think it’s just knowing how important it is. Luckily DH was there to calm me down. All done in the end

Transfer went well this morning! A 5AA blastocyst which thawed perfectly and completely re expanded

Hello all, hope you don't mind me jumping in. I'm 35, been ttc for over 3 years, had one failed and one cancelled IUI last year. Currently going through my 1st round of IVF, in the dreaded 2ww (d9p5dt)..was going ok up until today and now i have myself convinced AF is on her way!

Hi @Deeny83 I've been feeling the same today although slightly behind at 6dp5dt after FET - getting cramps and convinced it's AF! when is your OTD?

Feels very weird not to have to do any injections tonight. On tender hooks a little for tomorrow. It is going to be a long night.

@wesstywoo @deeny83 hoping you’re both okay and that the cramps may be something other than AF if I remember rightly on the last board a lot of ladies felt like this before their bfp. Hang on in there girls. When are your OTD’s?

I may be the first to add a TMI to the TMI forum 😄 but I am incredibly bloated and feels like I have two rocks in each side of my tummy which hopefully is a good thing. Tonight is day 6 of meriofert and I’ll be introducing freymadel as well this evening. But my question is...did anyone around this day become very bloated that they struggled to go to the loo/pass wind? I had chronic trapped wind this afternoon it was awful and I panicked as I thought it might be something worse...the gas passing proved otherwise 🙈 x

Hi, I wondered if I could join. I'm on another thread but I am starting meds for a FET in May (although transfer isn't until June so technically may not be allowed in the group!)

@Hopingforbabyd OTD not until 1 May so over a week to go yet! I think FET can be late implanters or so I've read. Could be implantation cramps or side effects of progesterone (and I'm certainly taking plenty of that!!). Good luck with your fryemadel - I didn't mind those, at least they are all ready to go in the syringe!
