New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

@DaisyMay25 congrats on your official test day! Must be a real relief. That’s also a lovely solid line!

@Ginandtonic31 I’m hoping for transfer June 11th if all my calculations are correct (probably not!)

I’m at RMU at UCLH in London-who actually send you to CRGH for the egg collection and transfer. I have two rounds with Them and then imagine I will be going back there to put the Frosties in privately if it takes more than two goes -which I’m trying to prepare myself for!

One of my colleagues from work who I work closely with is actually a patient there!

I’m Cheshire and attend clinics between Wigan and Knutsford.

Hmm think I need to get myself some lactulose Hmm And to carry on with the TMI I was painting our bedroom (a surprise for DH as he's away with work and to keep me busy), leant over and like an egg cup of watery snot fell out my nose! What? That's never happened to me before.

My morning just got a lot easier at work which is good because I feel SO sick Sad

LeanneMFord · 25/04/2019 08:59

Scan went well. Lining is 7.4 so have to continue with the progynova until next Tuesday then transfer that afternoon. Also have to start the progesterone tomorrow. Beginning to feel very real x

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 09:10

@LeanneMFord glad that your scan went well. That’s the one thing I have forgotten to ask about my Iining, just been focused on follicles and eggs, but I’m hoping they would have said something if there was an issue. Feeing a bit stupid that I haven’t asked tho 🙈

Hopefully the sickness will subside @AliceAbsolum

Deeny83 · 25/04/2019 09:12

@Daisymay25 fantastic news!!!

AliceAbsolum · 25/04/2019 09:19

@Pleaseletitbeme I'd also be happy with 4 eggs. Do you have diminished ovarian reserve? Apparently I'm probably a 'poor responder', which I think means there's a good chance you'll get less than 8 eggs?

Pleaseletitbeme · 25/04/2019 09:28

Daisymay.... wow!! I’m so very very happy for you!

Alice- yeah probably do have diminished reserve. BUT.....

My news this morning
3 of my four eggs have fertilised and I’m going for a fresh transfer on Monday of two blasts if they survive that long.

Pleaseletitbeme · 25/04/2019 09:29

LeanneMford..... know what you mean... it’s beginning to feel VERY real.

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 09:31

That’s amazing news @Pleaseletitbeme

LeanneMFord · 25/04/2019 10:17

@Pleaseletitbeme I no even though I have done this twice before it feels a lot more relaxed but I think that's because this one is a frozen cycle x

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 10:24

My news this morning they were able to inject 8 out of the 10 eggs and 6 have fertilised. Aiming for a 5 day transfer on mon but possibly 3 day on sat all being well that they make it.

We haven’t decided on a single or double transfer so that’s the dilemma now, but the clinic where we have had EC, which is different to the clinic for meds recommends 2 for women over 40 if u have the option. Just wondering have others made this decision themselves or has it been made for them.

Pleaseletitbeme · 25/04/2019 10:40

2019.... super congratulations!
I’ve been offered the choice of one or two.
I’m going for two....
It’s so exciting.
How are you feeling today? I feel totally normal. Unlike last time when I felt really poorly for a week.

mouse1234567 · 25/04/2019 10:45

@pleaseletitbeme and @2019isouryear congrats on your fertilisation -great news!

Re the conversation about diminished ovarian reserve -I just wanted to put a positive story out there -a good friend of mine has this -was on highest drug dose and managed to get more eggs than expected and low and behold she is now pregnant! It only takes one good one. She did not expect this.

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 10:51

@Pleaseletitbeme it’s looking like it will be our choice of 1 or 2. This is our only cycle without going private so will do what we can to increase our chances. Don’t think the hubby has got his head round the poss of 2 sticking tho 😂 but you gotta take risks to get what you want. Exciting and VERY real. We won’t get a call now until Sat what about u? Feeling lots better today the boating last night was unbelievable, still tender and cramps so relaxing today.

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 10:55

Love a god news story @mouse1234567

I’m not one for superstition, but I have been thinking that maybe it was fate that my Aunts funeral was on the day of EC and she was sending us positive vibes ❤️

2019isouryear · 25/04/2019 11:10

Sorry good news story @mouse1234567
