New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

I'd love to say but I've completely forgotten about my trigger. I want to say it was buserelin? Only a small dose though I think.
Hope it all goes well with EC!

@Twiglet2353 that’s okay lovely I know what you mean, this time round I forgot what all the meds were called lol. Strange isn’t it how we’re in the stick of it then forget 🙈 yes I’m only having small dose of 0.5ml then another injection Wednesday morning which is what I used for trigger last time. Just wonder why 🤔 the one on Wednesday has the hcg I believe. I’m just a little concerned this cycle may be frozen, I really hope not x

@Hopingforbabyd I had a hcg shot straight after my EC (small amount and again can't remember the name). I do know my trigger shot didn't have hcg in - so is that buserelin?
I know I can't believe how I've forgotten about it as I was so involved at the time xx

@Twiglet2353 sounds like me, I think it’s because they were a little concerned of ohss. But, I mean...ask a lady who’s doing ivf if she’s feeling okay of course we’re gonna exaggerate a little on the bloating 🙈 soon as she left it was lesson learnt that I’m okay I just wanted a little attention. She was having none of it though and agreed I’m a little more bloated than last time and with the right ovary now having lots of follicles and 4 over 18mm I agree it’s the right thing to do. Were you on patches too? X

@Twiglet2353 yes to your answer with buserelin it has no hcg but I was freaking out after googling it may mean fet. Note to self do not google 🤦🏻‍♀️ X

@Hopingforbabyd yes it was definitely buserelin then, with a small hcg shot after EC to try and boost my lining.
Think patches started straight after EC and the pessaries were the night of the trigger shot I think?
Definitely didn't end in FET for me (didn't get any embryos good enough to freeze anyway if you remember). I've definitely learned not to let google convince me it's all doom and gloom - I thought my little 3BC was a non-starter but luckily it stuck.

@Twiglet2353 you’ve put my mind at ease 😍 doing trigger in 10 mins and I will feel much better. Always a bit nerve wracking when it’s one I don’t normally do. Pessaries tonight 🙈 I have not missed them lol. How are you getting on? Have you found out the sex of baba/going to? X

@Hopingforbabyd no we've had our anatomy scan a couple of weeks ago now but leaving it a surprise. Doing okay thank you, really can't complain as so happy to be in this situation. The anxiety is still a little difficult but getting better week by week. Have additional growth scans starting at 28 weeks so that'll be nice to keep a close eye on little one xx

Hi!
Embryos thawed loved we had a 4BB and a 3BC transfer.
Just hope they both stick longer than 6 weeks.
Hoping.... good luck for tomorrow. I will be thinking of you.

Now the two week wait........

All done on EC - we got 10 eggs this time round. My right ovary although playing ball it was in too much of a position where they could only get 2 from it and left the rest. I wasn’t on as much meds today so I feel pretty normal now and it was fairly painful but so glad it’s all done and with the number. I was hooked up to some antibiotics for a while afterwards as they knocked my cyst but other than that...I live to tell the tale 😄
Update on Friday and transfer for Saturday or Monday depending on quality.
Hope you’re all doing okay and still using this thread x

@Hopingforbabyd great news re 10 eggs!

All ok with me -finally stopped bleeding after three and half weeks and a scan yesterday showed I’m near ovulation so hopefully will get my period in two weeks and then I downreg that cycle with a view for FET late Sep/ early Oct. feels far-but as I’m a teacher I’m trying to enjoy my hols in the meantime and drink and eat what I like!

Hi all, can I please join back again? I've had IVF in April and now doing FET, my transfer was on Monday 29 July in Czech. 2ww begins.... I've downloaded a meditation app, going back to work tomorrow. Hopefully will stop obsessing about the subject. So far no symptoms, which for me is great, since I had all the right symptoms every single month and never saw bfp. I also take magnesium b6 which suppose to relax the uterus.

@Pleaseletitbeme holding everything for you. Hopefully one or both will stick this time around!

Thank you @mouse1234567 @Pleaseletitbeme @Twiglet2353 feeling a little tender today but luckily it is my day off. The clinic asked if I’d like two weeks off but this time round I’ve decided to just act as normal, to feel normal and put this journey to the back of my mind for a bit. We hear tomorrow how they’re doing, really hoping for good numbers 🤞🏼
@mouse1234567 glad to hear the bleeding has stopped! That must’ve felt like an age for you! Definitely enjoy the summer holidays it may be your last one just the two of you 😉

Hi ladies, hope you are all doing fine. I'm 3dp5dt and I think I'm coming down with cold.. blaming my immune suppressors and having to fly back home after transfer. I have contacted my clinic to see if I should take anything in case temperature shows up. I wonder if this is something I should worry about..

@Viletta hoping you feel better soon. I would say get lots of vitamins down you and make sure you stay nice and cosy. I guess there’s not a lot you can do if you have a cold but hopefully the clinic can shed some light and put your mind at ease x
