New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

Hi! Thanks everyone.
Appointment is at 3 and I’m super anxious.
Sometimes I think I am pregnant but most of the time I still feel no different.

@Pleaseletitbeme good luck for the scan! I had my 9 week one yesterday and thought I was going to pass out from the anxiety before!

@Hopingforbabyd I know how you feel I just want our appointment to come ASAP so we can move on from this state of not having achieved anything so far :(

@Pleaseletitbeme good luck today.
I had a scare this morning so they rushed me in for a scan and although I had very high blood test results there is one baby in there growing away even seen the heartbeat. Measuring 7weeks 1 day x

Not good news.
Only one embryo and it’s very very small. So have to go back in a week. Not looking good at all. It’s only measuring 6 weeks and it should be 7weeks 3days.
No visible heart beat.
Plus over last 24 hours my resting heart rate has dropped.
It’s shit this whole fucking thing.

So suspect it’s another bleed or miscarriage on its way.

@Pleaseletitbeme I really feel hurt for you,even though we all may not know each other personally on this thread but I feel a strong comradery between us. I genuinely hope things turn out okay for you. I truly wish for us all to leave this thread one by one due to us having achieved our dream!

So.... pain went away overnight and there’s been no bleeding.
I have impending sense of doom.
Nothing I can do about anything which is a little frustrating. Just have to wait until
Next friday.

@Pleaseletitbeme Looks promising sweets, it's hard to be waiting that long to find out. I'm frustrated at waiting till our follow up consultation so can't imagine your frustration. Depending on where you are there a lot of private clinics around that can do a scan for you if you can't wait till next Friday.

Glad to see ladies moving on with Access Fertility, it's a marathon not a sprint so they say. We're so lucky to have that insurance policy. When are you guys starting?

DH and I have decided on Reprofit in Czech with donor eggs. Can't justify wasting money a d having lots of stress with my AMH so low. It's been a tough decision, but we feel generally at peace with it. My family have a long history of physical and mental health problems, so maybe it's for the best.
Plus we are guaranteed 2 5 day grade 1-2 blastocysts! Using a young women's eggs is going to be amazing. I can run and drink coffee and basically chill out. DH and I are seeing it as a holiday where he has a wank I have a 5min painless procedure and hopefully we come home pregnant 😁 Plus the clinics out there are SO modern, 70% success rates and 1/2 price. What's not to like!
29th July is the planned EC day, so not too long to wait. I'm enjoying the summer, running, drinking coffee and eating lots of junk food. I'm a vegan and I don't drink so I have to get my fix somewhere 🙄

@AliceAbsolum I’m so glad that you and DH have formulated a plan. It feels so good to know what direction you are going in. And wow-July is so soon! It sounds like you have found a great clinic.

@Pleaseletitbeme I’m so sorry you have to wait till friday-that is so hard.

I’m getting on ok with my frozen cycle-I had a scan yesterday where my lining was 8.3 so I started progesterone today-the injections were so much more liquid and have made me feel rather bruised -I need to work on my technique! Transfer is Thursday -can’t quite believe its come round so quick -feel more anxious and sick about it rather than excited.
