New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

@hopingforbabyd thank you! And sorry for asking questions when you’ve enough of your own to be dealing with! I’m just coming slowly to the conclusion that my clinic may be useless! Hope you are recovering from the shock of last round and being kind to yourself. X

@Hopingforbabyd @mouse1234567 I'm back home from my EC, it went well I was super nervous but once the anaesthesia kicked in I don't remember anything after that!
Going to try To sleep now- they managed to get one egg so hoping for fertilisation overnight. Prayers for everyone hoping for some good news, this is really tough.

@annasteen don’t be silly, I know what you mean it feels like so many unanswered questions when things don’t turn out the way we expected. But, we will all get there I’m certain of it. I’m hoping to get my letter through soon for follow up it’s a bit mean if they make us wait ages x
@phreedam so glad all went well and that they got one for you. That little one has held out for you I’m hoping all goes well for fertilisation are you ICSI? Rest well lovely x

@Hopingforbabyd thanks hun! No we aren't doing ICSI there's no male factor with us so hopefully out of the odd 100,000 swimmers they put in- one will find it's way to the eggy!

Has your tummy recovered from the injections yet? I find mine is pretty sore at the moment though I've stopped injecting now.

@phreedam that’s fab! Wishing you lots of luck. Do you get an update tomorrow? It took a while and my period was quite twingy on my ovaries but all is okay now. Lots of water! I was really gassy after EC and transfer x

@Hopingforbabyd ye bolting is crazy! I find once my bladder starts filling it up it's super uncomfortable. You've come out the other side graciously, I can only hope to be like you if I'm faced with the same situation.

Yes we will get a call tomorrow morning, I broke down early just filled with worry. Will update you guys when I hear something.. xxx

You’re allowed to feel all the feels lovely, it’s such a hard process but I love to think your little one is being made as we speak I hope they’re doing well and fingers crossed for the morning xx

Oh no! Did they you'll be prone to bleeding through your pregnancy? Not sure which meds' your allowed to take

It's good news! It's fertilsed! Just got an update from the embryologist and he said it's showing all the right signs... next update is Monday which is day 3. Hope this turns out to be a good bank holiday

My bleed has stopped.
I’m coming down with cold though. Arghhh.
I’ve got a massive competition on Monday (be my last before baby or babies arrive if all goes to plan)

@Pleaseletitbeme that's good news, the thing is your immune system is down at the moment to ensure it's accepting the embryo etc. So you can get I'll easily. What's the competition for?

Thanks I was so scared to pick up the phone my hubby took the call bless him and we were super happy when the embryologist said it's fertilised omg!! I just feel like even if we don't make it to day 5 we've still cleared a massive hurdle for my low AMH and still using my own eggs

Thank you both- I'm trying to keep my mind off it till Monday now which is the next hurdle. They're hoping it's a 6 even cells by then.

@LeanneMFord not had the best news today hun, the embryo isn't developing as it should for day 3. we will get an update tomorrow morning now which will decide wether we do transfer on day 5 or just cancel this cycle and start planning for the next. I'm really bummed about it. But we got further than I thought we would. Thank you for all you support ladies xx

@LeanneMFord @Pleaseletitbeme @Hopingforbabyd thanks guys it really means a lot, we need all the positives we an get atm. We have started looking at unlimited ivf cycles with access fertility as well, we aren't counting on this but it would AMAZING if the little embie pulled through for us.
Going to pray for a miracle tonight!
