New March/April IVF thread.

I'm Alice, 34, TTC1 for 3 years 4 months. Currently 4 days into a short ivf protocol with max dose of stims as my AMH ran away last year. Its my only NHS funded cycle and my last chance to have a child that's genetically mine. /fingers crossed/

@2019isouryear I’m so sorry to hear this lovely I’m absolutely gutted for you. If they are okay in 24 hours could it be a possibility for ET still? Keep strong lovely x

@Hopingforbabyd None at all and had my own room so no worries about other people either. I was a bit anxious and tearful for a minute before they took me down but then it was OK. Just a weird feeling knowing people have been rummaging around down there while I was out for the count.

Embryologist rang, literally had a heart attack. Turned out DH had forgotten to sign a form so they needed verbal consent. They're being mixed up now! They'll call in the morning. Really hoping we will get something to day 5.

@aliceabsolum so glad all went well. We’re you sedated? I’m hoping I pass out too lol I don’t like the feeling of not being in control. Oh crikey!! That would’ve panicked me too. So lovely to think they’re being made now! 😍 are you home now? X

Yes, fully asleep. Not GA but basically the same. Benzos and opiates are a great mix 😅
Yup home now, no pain, just relaxing and eating. When's your scan?

Hopingforbabyd.... had two transferred.
They gave me a copy of my ultrasound scan- a really nice touch.

Guys I’m terribly constipated. I’m guessing it’s the cyclogest. I’m so scared of straining incase it pops my blasts out

Hi I’m 26 I’ve done 1 fresh cycle and 2 frozen found out today that our last frozen cycle hasn’t work. I’m allowed 1 more go on the nhs but I’m not sure if I want to do all the injections again as I had awful side effects last time . Has anyone got any advice or has been or in the same position as me x

@louubarrie welcome to the board! So sorry to hear you’ve had such a difficult journey, we are all here to support you. This is my first cycle so I don’t have any advice unfortunately but wishing you well on your journey and I’m sure there will be a few ladies on here who can guide you they’ve all been great supports x

Thank you for all your support ladies couldn’t have got this far without you. Will keep hold of the whisper of hope for tomorrrow, but need to prepare myself that this may be the end of this journey. They didnt mention a 6 day transfer @Ginandtonic31 and my head was all over the place so didn’t really ask why, but think it’s to do with reduced likelihood that it wud implant. Keeping everything crossed for u @AliceAbsolum for ur update tomorrow, and congratulations on ur OTD @Deeney83. Hope ur scan went well @Hopingforbabyd x

Hey ladies! So! One of my little follicles has gone from 14mm to 19mm over the weekend! Trigger is Wednesday night at 1945 and EC is on Friday morning 😁 so happy! X

@Aliceabsolum great the ec went well, it is weird waking up and having no idea what happened, but probably for the best lol

@pleaseletitbeme congrats on the transfer, now for the 2ww! I was constipated too ha ha actually i felt like that from ec until after egg transfer, its all the hormones and everything, it will hopefully sort itself out soon!

The clinic got in touch and confirmed my BFP!! I'm 4 weeks gone, and for the 1st time in what feels like years i can relax a little, I'm booked in for my 7 week scan a bit earlier because i won't be available during that week (typical), so now im counting down those days, i feel like im wishing my life away :-)

@louubarrie so sorry to hear it hasn't worked for you yet, i don't have any advice unfortunately but as hopingforbabyd mentions above, theres lots of support on here, fingers crossed for you x

@Deeny83 I feel sick pretty much all day, sore boobs and completely wiped out. I get period type cramps too but I'm hoping they're all good things. Don't think I'll stop worrying for a while yet

@hopingforbabyd Well done follicle! Not long til EC now. You stimmed for a good amount of time. I don't know why I was 7 days.

Pains starting to get a bit tricky now, felt so much better after the op partly I think because the follicles were emptied of fluid, now they're filling up again. Which partly why people get constipated. I sent DH to get lactulose, catch it early as my clinic say to avoid constipation after ET.

@Daisymay25 its a pain feeling crap all day but as you say symptoms can only be a good thing! Hope you do get some relief throughout the day though

I had egg collection today. 8 collected which is way more than I thought. At one of my scans the nurse asked what my AMH is as she’s surprised I had so many follicles with low AMH (14 follicles).

I have mentally prepared myself for this not working, and have been thinking I will give it one shot and at least I won’t regret doing nothing. Now I’m back to thinking that this might work, which is nerve wracking in a different way!

@hopingforbaby9 I had (I think) 11 days of stims and my boobs are massive. None of my bras fit.

@mouse1234567 with difficulty! I haven’t told work because they’re a bunch of gossips and I don’t want to give them yet another excuse to pass me over for promotion. I’m lucky that I have more flexibility than most, but I expect they think I’m late all the time.

@sorka this is brilliant! Well done you! How are you feeling after EC? It’s quite nice having some boobies for a change 😄🙈

I noticed a little blood in the syringe tonight but after I took it out, is this okay? It was too late to do another as I didn’t even realise. I’ve bled and bruised this evening it’s the first time I’ve bruised 😖

@2019isouryear I had a couple progress on day 6 so it does happen-got all my fingers crossed. Such a tough time for you.

@LouBarrie welcome. It sounds like you have had a tough time. Remember you are strong and you have done it before with the injections -but equally give yourself a break if that’s what you need-a few months off might make you feel more ready for it.
