IVF March/April

Hi ladies
I’m hoping to find a cycle buddy or anyone who has been through IVF before. We are due to have our appointment for our plan at the end of next week and I just wanted to hear any stories/advice anyone may have as my mind is very busy with questions.
A little background from me, I’m 28 and been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Last year I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis which sadly affected both of my tubes. I’ve had them removed in November and all endo has been removed. We have been told the chances of conception are against us due to the severity of my condition but I’m holding onto hope. Are there any ladies who have similar stories who can give me a little encouragement? I’m quite nervous to start IVF but excited at the idea this could be our chance!

That’s exactly how mines gone today it’s so bizarre! @wesstywoo I’m not too sure as the clinic didn’t call me back which is annoying I rang them 3 times. I’ll give them another call tomorrow though for sure! How are you doing? X

@Hopingforbabyd yes do - not sure if all clinics are the same but mine was within 4 days of day 1.

I'm doing ok thanks, counting down to ET on Thursday! Currently laying flat for 30 mins with the pessaries!

I rang my clinic to ask about AF and Easter and they said within 4 days as well... How is the possible? How can 3 days of stims not make any difference? I swear they just make it up half the time.

Oh bloomin hell this af best hurry up! Now it’s completely disappeared! So strange, I’ve never had anything like it before I’m just hoping it comes soon. That’s so silly with Easter!
How are the pessaries going 🙈 my clinic advised 3 in 1 go on a night time...😳 is that what you’re doing? How are you doing @AliceAbsolum? X

@Hopingforbabyd they are messy, stock up on pads! My protocol is slightly different as I'm doing FET so it's 2 at once in the morning and 2 at once in the evening! I'm laying down for 30 mins to make sure they absorb

I'm not great today actually. For the 1st time in a long time it's getting me down. The endless waiting...
Pessaries. My nurse told me to put them up the bum because then they won't leak

Oh crikey! Up the butt?! But... 🙈😳 bless you it isn’t nice at all is it. You’re allowed to have a bad day you really are doing so well and it’s a lot of pressure on your mind and body. Just remember how far you’ve come ❤️ X

@AliceAbsolum sorry to hear you are having a tough day. This journey is so hard and I certainly feel up and down. It’s so hard when really you know the only thing that will make you really happy is a baby but yet no guarantees!

@AliceAbsolum thank you!! I wondered why I wasn't getting any mess from them, I opted for up the bum because I know I'd have a reaction otherwise! Thank you for stopping my worrying that I was doing it wrong

She is here!!! That was such a weird start to af but she is finally here and we’re still in Tuesday so hopefully that means I will start stims tomorrow evening 😊 wishing all my cycle buddies the best of luck x

@wesstywoo haha I’ve never been so grateful to see her though this one is extremely painful I’ve been up on and off since 4am 😖 just had a nice soak which usually helps. Counting down the minutes to ring the clinic! Not long now until tomorrow...what time is you ET?

@hopingforbabyd not feeling to bad 5 days in. Start 2nd injection tonight. Panicked a bit last night as I must of hit a vein. Starting to feel cramps and twinges (feels a bit like before AF arrives) which I’m hoping is a good sign that they are developing 🤞🏻 Not to bloated tho which makes me overthink things.

I think I expected to feel more effects, but I know it’s early days. It can so wreck with your head.

@2019isouryear I know what you mean, when is your first scan? I’m certain things will be working just the way they should. You may be one of the lucky ones with no bloating 😉 oh gosh that sounds scary! How did you know you hit a vien did it feel strange? X
