Hi ladies
I’m hoping to find a cycle buddy or anyone who has been through IVF before. We are due to have our appointment for our plan at the end of next week and I just wanted to hear any stories/advice anyone may have as my mind is very busy with questions.
A little background from me, I’m 28 and been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Last year I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis which sadly affected both of my tubes. I’ve had them removed in November and all endo has been removed. We have been told the chances of conception are against us due to the severity of my condition but I’m holding onto hope. Are there any ladies who have similar stories who can give me a little encouragement? I’m quite nervous to start IVF but excited at the idea this could be our chance!
Thanks 😊💛 xx

Amazing seeing it on the scan @DaisyMay25

Sorka · 15/04/2019 21:43

@daisymay25 wow that’s amazing, fingers crossed!

@mouse1234567 good luck with EC

Hopingforbabyd · 15/04/2019 22:55

Aw that’s lovely @daisymay25 I find it so fascinating that that little speck of light is a little embaby and one day will hopefully be a fully grown adult. Madness! Oh I do love science it really is incredible and we are very lucky indeed 😊 x

Morning! It's a BFP for me this morning on my OTD, I had done an early test in 9dp5dt which was very faint so good to see a stronger line this morning.

I feel so nervous and anxious but excited too! Thank you for all your support over the last month and for getting me this far! Wishing everyone so much luck. x

@Brambles7 @Sorka @DaisyMay25 thank you for the luck. Starting to get quite nervous as time goes on-this is such a strange conveyor belt of a process isn’t it?! Although also feeling quite sick and tired so will happy to get these eggs out too.

@DaisyMay25 hope the start of your two week wait is going ok.

DaisyMay25 · 16/04/2019 13:03

@mouse1234567 I know what you mean, I was so ready to get my eggs out! Best of luck for tomorrow, have you got a nice early appointment?

It's going to an awful next 9 days, I've tested out my trigger though so might do a cheeky test on Saturday that way I might be able to see a positive but if it's negative I'm not disheartened because it's still early

Hopingforbabyd · 16/04/2019 13:22

@worriedbutterfly this is fantastic news!!! Lots of bfps on this thread so lovely to see 😍💛xxx

@DaisyMay25 yes I’m pleased it’s scheduled for 7.40 so hopefully will be back on the sofa by midday with any luck. I have quite a few follicles so I’m imagining I feel a bit like you felt? Were you very tired and nauseous before EC? And if so how long till it got better?

Good luck for your test this weekend -I thought to myself a perk of a frozen embryo transfer in a few months means I can perhaps test earlier not having had the trigger.

AliceAbsolum · 16/04/2019 14:02

@worriedbutterfly Congratulations!! We are having so much success on this thread, I wish I'd kept a tally, feels like about 75%!

I thought I'd be starting stims by now but I'm not even spotting 😭#hurryupffs

DaisyMay25 · 16/04/2019 14:03

@mouse1234567 I'm still wiped out now but I think that's the meds. The bloating and full feeling got better on Saturday, after EC on Wednesday. Nausea I had up until today but very mild, if it's too bad you can ask for some tablets though? They offered me some. Let us know how many eggs they collect!

Thund4rcat · 16/04/2019 14:32

@worriedbutterfly the android app doesn't seem to give me a link so you'll have to search or browse, but in the Pregnancy forum there is a Due December 2019 thread, there is also December 2019 thread in the ante-natal clubs section and there is a BFP after IVF/ICSI thread.

mouse1234567 · 16/04/2019 16:12

@DaisyMay25 thanks for the advice re anti nausea-will see how I feel tomo but may be something I will opt for. Will keep you updated re eggs.

Wesstywoo · 16/04/2019 17:04

@WorriedButterfly congratulations! Great news!

Hopingforbabyd · 16/04/2019 17:10

Girls I really need some advice. I will double check with the clinic but I wondered if anyone had experienced a weird period before their injections.
TMI alert -
This morning when I woke up I was absolutely soaked with af full red flow (sorry ladies) I had no cramps or spotting beforehand so took me by surprise. Then the rest of today there’s barely anything apart from brown spotting. I phoned the clinic this morning but no one called me back. I’ve never had this before and just wondered if it is the norethisterone giving me breakthrough bleeding or if I should class this as day1? X

OP posts:
Wesstywoo · 16/04/2019 17:14

@Hopingforbabyd when you stop taking norethisterone? My AF turned up after 3 days and was v heavy and painful (mine aren't usually heavy or painful). Sounds like you are on day 1 AF to me xx

mouse1234567 · 16/04/2019 17:14

@Hopingforbabyd. I can’t say my period seemed very different after norethisterone. Sorry can’t be much help-but drugs do meds with your system and perhaps it will just take a few days to have full flow. Hopefully your clinic call you to put your mind at rest and perhaps pull you in for a scan to see what’s going on. They know best.

Hopingforbabyd · 16/04/2019 18:09

Thank you @westywoo I think it’ll come on properly this evening do I class today as day 1 even if I were to come on for example at like 10pm? I stopped norethisterone on Saturday evening so it surprised me it’s here already as the nurse said about 5/6days.

Thank you @mouse1234567 you’re right, I think it’s just nerves with getting the timing right. I don’t want to overthink too much but it’s so hard isn’t it 🙈

Wesstywoo · 16/04/2019 18:47

@Hopingforbabyd yes your first day of "full flow" is day 1! Mine was heavy at first and then abruptly went light as well. When is your baseline scan?
