Hi ladies
I’m hoping to find a cycle buddy or anyone who has been through IVF before. We are due to have our appointment for our plan at the end of next week and I just wanted to hear any stories/advice anyone may have as my mind is very busy with questions.
A little background from me, I’m 28 and been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Last year I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis which sadly affected both of my tubes. I’ve had them removed in November and all endo has been removed. We have been told the chances of conception are against us due to the severity of my condition but I’m holding onto hope. Are there any ladies who have similar stories who can give me a little encouragement? I’m quite nervous to start IVF but excited at the idea this could be our chance!

Not to bad @hobingforbabyd day 3 of stims and getting to grips with injections, which is good as I am not a fan of needles. Not feeling much from them yet, but I’m sure that will change (I think).

Thanks guys, I'm feeling positive that it'll be good news in the morning! MIL has insisted on picking me up afterwards so I can go straight home and rest (otherwise it'd be public transport) Transfer isn't until two, but blood testing and a monitoring appointment first but the embryologist said they'll call in the morning to update up too (we haven't heard anything since being told 13 fertilised on Thursday)

Hope everyone is getting on fine!

@Hopingforbabyd I haven't been on norethisterone but whenever I've been on any hormone meds I've felt sorry for my husband!

This morning was my official test day, and it's a BFP! Now onto the next wait for the first scan!

Thanks guys, just got a call that we've got five really good blastocysts, one to transfer today and four to freeze and another four that are developing and might be able to freeze too they'll let me know today or tomorrow. I'm over the moon!!

Feeling very full of follicles this end -scan later so let’s see what they say. Currently at the pharmacy picking up some more stimms meds as I have run out.

No AF for me yet, maybe it will be Tuesday or Wednesday now. Aren't the last few years of waiting after so many years the worst! God knows what I'm going to be like in the tww. If we get that far, trying to manage my expectations.

@AliceAbsolum I hope your period comes soon -the waiting is so annoying!

Had a disappointing scan this morning. All my follicles are developing well and EC should be in a few days or so-have to wait for a call to see if I’m triggering tonight or later on in the week. But they found what they think is a polyp-so I was told it’s going to have to be a freeze all cycle. They have booked me in for a consultation next wed to sign forms for a hysteroscopy to investigate and remove it. Since I have had a strong response to the meds they said it may have been a freeze all cycle anyway-so what with both those factors it’s most definitely going to be no fresh transfer. I’m trying to see the upside -easter eggs, drinks in the sun over Easter, more time for my body to recover from the drugs -but it’s really hard! I don’t think I would be so worried if it was just a freeze all cycle but I don’t want to have to wait around for the hysteroscopy -I think the waiting time could be quite a while!

This process is so slow isn’t it! At least I will be halfway there and I’m just praying for a good amount of frozen ones.

@Mouse1234567 Sorry to hear that you won’t be able to progress as soon as you would like, but sounds like good news on your follicles. Try and think of the positives of giving your body time to recover.

@DaisyMay25 I guess so, I cooked mine with some garlic and randomly ate it with Brazil nuts 😂, it was quite nice and Brazil nuts are meant to be good too! I hope it went well and your feeling good now, remember the meditation apps are good, I had a bit of a weird come down after ET, I think because I was so on it with stims and EC that it just felt like I wasn't doing enough...and then the wait, it seems impossible at times! x

@WorriedButterfly I'm gonna pick some up tomorrow, I made a salad with some the other week with feta, spinach and walnuts. I feel tired out and nauseated. I have an acupressure mat I should start using daily, hopefully that'll help!

@2019isouryear transfer went fine. They struggled a tiny bit because of my tilted cervix but got there in the end!

I even got an ultrasound of the embryo all cosy inside!

The clinic called to say do the trigger tonight so I just have-so EC is scheduled early on Wed-they give me the specific time tomorrow. Found doing the trigger injections quite nerve-wracking and stressful! Had buserelin and then a little gonasi to avoid OHSS.

Starting to feel a bit nervous about EC now but also keen to get the eggs out and see what we have.
