IVF March/April

Hi ladies
I’m hoping to find a cycle buddy or anyone who has been through IVF before. We are due to have our appointment for our plan at the end of next week and I just wanted to hear any stories/advice anyone may have as my mind is very busy with questions.
A little background from me, I’m 28 and been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Last year I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis which sadly affected both of my tubes. I’ve had them removed in November and all endo has been removed. We have been told the chances of conception are against us due to the severity of my condition but I’m holding onto hope. Are there any ladies who have similar stories who can give me a little encouragement? I’m quite nervous to start IVF but excited at the idea this could be our chance!

Update: did a silly and tested just now with evening pee, 6dp5dt. Short protocol and had buserelin for trigger so not hcg, but then was given a low dose of hcg after egg retrieval for luteal phase support. Don't know how much the dose was and whether it would be out my system at 11 days? Either way I just got this and I don't know what to think:

I'm not sure whether to test out my trigger so I don't get confused

@DaisyMay25 wishing I had tested it out now but told myself I wouldn't test early so deliberately didn't order any internet cheapies 🤦‍♀️

OTD is a week today 😬

@Twiglet2353 oh no! Maybe order some and test twice a day? Of course don't listen to me though I'm a POAS addict...
You gonna wait til next week or test in a couple of days?

@DaisyMay25 I'm probably going to test tomorrow with FMU, just to see if it's darker or not. Then I'll leave it for a few days, honest! 🙈

@Hopingforbabyd oh gosh I really hope so too but don't want to get excited yet. We will see what tomorrow brings 🤞

@twiglet2353 it’ll be hard not to test but maybe fmu might give you a little more of an idea. Either way that’s a strong line isn’t it...hoping those cramps were meaning a bfp. Got everything crossed for you x

@Twiglet2353 finger crossed for you. I know when I had the HCG trigger for IUI it was still faint in tests 13days after but by 14 it was gone. We are all different though and I think leaves some bodies quicker. You only had a low dose so hopefully as its a strong line it’s a BFP. Best of luck with your test tomo.

Thanks @DaisyMay25 @mouse1234567. I think from googling the usual dose when given for luteal phase support is 1500iu, but I really am just guessing now. Will update you all in the morning 🙂

That's interesting @Twiglet2353 I didn't know they could give HCG as luteal support - are you on pessaries too?

@Wesstywoo yeah 3x progesterone pessaries before bed every day, and also oestrogen patches that I change on alternate days. By reading my info pack it seems my clinic offer a low dose hcg shot immediately after EC to everyone if they've had a GnRH agonist trigger instead of a hcg one. Think the endometrium could be compromised otherwise without it x

Okay 12 hours difference between the two. Don't know if they're the same or if this morning's is a tinge darker...

Hi @WorriedButterfly, feeling ok thanks. Much more back to normal after a good nights sleep but still quite sore and bleeding slightly. Going to take it easy again today. Nervously waiting for the call from the clinic to see how our embryos are doing. :-) How are you feeling? x

Feeling much brighter, a lot less sore, still some bleeding when I go to the loo.

Out of my 3 eggs, 3 were mature enough and 2 fertilised -still got everything crossed that we progress to embryos by Monday.

@mouse1234567 my hormone results aren’t very good so I’m on the maximum dose of everything. I do seem to have the longest down reg of everyone on this thread. I didn’t realise a six week protocol was so unusual.

That’s great @Worriedbutterfly, and glad you are feeling brighter. Heard back and 5 out of my 6 have fertilised. Fingers crossed all of ours stay good. x
