Had all the tests and finally got the go-ahead today (a prescription and letter in the post!) So bit of a surprise. Will be starting on CD2 in about 4 days time hopefully.

Scared, excited, nervous.

@gettingimpatientnow, that’s a great idea, I hadn’t heard about doing egg donation as part of IVF but I guess they didn’t tell me because I’m just outside the age you can do it! ☹️ I would absolutely have done it if I could.

I’m the same about temping, I forget every few days! My temp seems to vary a degree and half day to day so it’s not that helpful anyway!

Oh sorry to hear that @shelleybear0313, it’s not over until AF arrives but if not just look to next month, another chance.

Hello all, I am nearly 33. TTC for 2 years now. Been to doctors and this was my first cycle on clomid. I'm feeling excited for this cycle as I know chances are higher I hope it all works out this month. It's nice to talk to others in the same boat. Good luck to you all ladies!

Hi 👋🏻, I’m on cycle 3 of Clomid, BFP due on 18th sept! TTC for 11 cycles. Really hoping this is our month. The dreaded TWW is killing me, I promised I wouldn’t be obsessed this month but easier said than done!

Morning ladies. Baby dust to you both. The tww is a nightmare, I lost my marbles this month officially. Af is definitely here, pretty sure she has moved her family in just to torment me this month! 😂😂
Rw12 thank you, I'm definitely out but had my mope around yesterday, all back on track today. Starting next round too today so fingers crossed for better luck this cycle! 💖💖💖

Can anyone advise me about what day to actually count as cycle day 2?

I've been spotting every day from 2dpo (going by OPKs, progesterone levels always say anovulatory cycles). I'm now 7dpo. Have Clomid to start on CD2-6 of next cycle whenever it eventually starts. Usually I spit during the luteal phase (on wiping and scanty loss on panty liner), then bleed lightly for 1-2 days (requiring a thicker pad or small tampon) and then maybe 1/2 days of medium flow with cramping, followed by a further 4 days of spotting.

Should I count CD2 as my second day of light flow or when I get the medium flow with cramping? Sorry it sounds exhausting reading that all back 😂

@teiglet2353 my Dr said to me don't could spotting go for 2nd full bleed day but if not sure worth checking in with your doctor. The TWW is the worst every little feeling is analysed 🤣 good luck to you all.

Thanks for replying @Lorraine1985. I'd seen a mixture of contradicting opinions online about whether spotting counts as CD1, but because I spot for so long I think you're right and should wait for my 2nd full day of fresh bleeding.

Still waiting! More cramps today and more brown spotting. Just want this next cycle to start to we can get on with it x

I'm on my first cycle of taking clomid and am freaking out about what counts as cycle day 2. Any advice would be great. I started brown spotting on Friday and the same yesterday, today I had a big old burst of rank clotty period and was thinking great, I'll start the clomid tomorrow. But now my period seems to have vanished! aaaagghhr, Does anyone else have this??

@cake1987 literally been keeping my fingers crossed all day that the bit of red spotting I noted in amongst all the brown gunge was going to be the start of AF, but no! In fact it seems to have stopped completely tonight.
It's annoying how unpredictable our bodies can be x

Morning Ladies! Just wondering do people have a dull ovary ache (best way I can think describe) after clomid before ovulation date? I'm.day 10 on cycle.... I actually can't figure out if is dull ache of ovary or I did too much at weekends fitness sesh!

Can anyone advise me please? I’m currently on cycle 4 of clomid and 7 days late on period. I have done around 4 pregnancy test which are all bfn. It’s driving me crazy!! The last 3 clomid cycles I have started period day 29. Has anybody else had this and knows what is going on?
I have never been on any forum before, I love reading all your story’s it makes me feel not alone going thru this 🙂. I also wish everyone lots of luck on treatment xx

Hi Ebony, my dr advised me that if I didn’t have a period by CD35 with a BFN, to increase my Clomid dose to 100mg. So I guess check with your dr if your getting close to 35 days with a BFN. It might be that you need a higher dose to make sure you ovulate. Did you have a tracking scan or blood tests this month to check for ovulation?

Hi Dawn, I’ve never had this pain but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the Clomid, it seems to cause a LOT of unpleasant side effects!! At least it’s a sign it’s working

Hi @cake1987, I had this with my last Af, it started as spotting and then mostly continued like that with a few bursts of red blood. It was so unusual but it was the first month my blood tests showed that I had likely ovulated, whereas I hadn’t any other month before. So hopefully it’s a positive sign for you. A pain for working out when to start the next cycle though.

@dawnk77 I’ve definitely had what I’d describe as dull ovary aches. I think it is the clomid and like @cardi86 says it’s hopefulky a sign that it’s working.

Thanks for responding cardi86.. I'm currently on day 35.. I only had a scan and bloods on my 1st cycle which shown I was ovulating so they said I didn't need anymore tracking. It's driving me mad as I was going to start metformin alongside clomid this month but can't do anything until period start. How's your treatment going?

I feel your pain! Mine seems to be stopping and starting all over the shop. I went for a scan and blood tests yesterday to see what was going on, and why my period hadn't started after the norethisterone. They said my womb lining looked thin so my spotting was probably all the period I was going to get and I should have just started taking the clomid on my second day of spotting. So annoyed with myself! They're checking my hormone levels and are going to let me know later if it's ok to start the clomid anyway later today. But I'd definitely recommend contacting the doctor if you're not sure what's going on, I found it put my mind at ease and stopped me second guessing everything. xxx

Ebony447, I was 5 days late for my af this month but my cycles are usually short 24 days. I had every symptom too. Fingers crossed it's a bfp just taking longer to show. The tww is hard enough without being late, I feel your pain. X
Iv finished my Clomid for this month now just commence the baby making. On the plus side feel far more relaxed this month. Baby dust to all. Xxxx

Shellybear0313 good luck this month. It is such a long hard journey. Iv been trying to conceive for 5 years. I did get pregnant around 3 years ago when taking metformin but when I got to scan they said I'd had a missed miscarriage at 6 weeks😢. So doctors sent me to the fertility expert to see what is exactly wrong with me. I have low egg count, partner has sperm morphology and when I had the hsg only my right tube was overflowing. Been a long hard stressful road thinking i will never be a mummy. Hard to stay positive sometimes.

@cake1987 I'm not being monitored with Clomid in my Trust unfortunately. Would love to have a baseline scan at least but never mind. Very light period this cycle - Currently CD3 now if going by first bit of fresh bleeding. Had first clomid last night. Occasional hot flush today but otherwise alright so far

Ebony447 you really have had a long road. I had an ectopic last year the resulted in right tube removal. Im on Clomid to give me a better change, not that they have done any tests, Iv had a scan and that's my lot. I had a really down day when my af arrived but try and keep positive lovely. Have the discussed ivf with you? Xxx

Twiglet2353 the hot flushes are something else, Iv not had anything quite like them before, one minute I'm fine the next I heat up, sweat and look like a tomato! I had the works last month, sore breasts, tired, angry, ov pain, sick.....on the plus side it taken my cycle from 23 days to 28 and feel like I had a good flush out of my system this month. Night sweats this month but nothing else so far! Try and keep relaxed, I failed miserably last month but doing a bit better this one! ☺️xx

Shellybear0313 I was reading back on the forum at your story lastnight i was sad for you when I heard your af came. Also I'm sorry to hear about eptopic 😢. My gynaecologist said to me last week when I was stressing about only having 1working tube, don't worry to much about it as it's not impossible to get pregnant! I still have a good chance conceiving on clomid! I really wish you all the luck✨.. yes we discussed ivf I'm entitled to one cycle. I'm really hoping thou I don't need it. It's scares me the whole process..I have two cycles left if af arrives and then will move on to ivf xxx

Ebony447 try and keep your chin up. We are very lucky these days to have so many choices through medical science. Your time will come to be a mummy of that I'm positive. 💖 dose dh take any vitamins? Zinc is really good to help with there fishes. Iv got my dh on the conception pregnicare. I was so conscious last month a Googled absolutely everything. Feel far more chilled this month but that could be down to the fact I'm not on the dreaded tww. Side effects don't appear to be as bad this month yet either. How many rounds of Clomid have you had? Sending an extra special beg of baby dust your way. 😍xxx

Shelleybear0313 no not arrived yet🙏 it doesn't.. and no never always came on day 29 and ovulate day 16.. I haven't tested now for two days. Partner keeps telling me not to because he hates seeing the disappointment in my face everytime it's a bfn.. I'm going to test again thou in the next couple of days.. xx
