Had all the tests and finally got the go-ahead today (a prescription and letter in the post!) So bit of a surprise. Will be starting on CD2 in about 4 days time hopefully.

Scared, excited, nervous.

Thanks I’m new to all this and been trying for over 18 months now with no luck not even been ovulating 😢 and then I hear all these bad side effects but I haven’t really had anything and panicked it ment it wasn’t working I guess just need to carry on and see what happens

@debbie2901 I didn’t have any bad side effects and my blood tests from my first cycle showed that I ovulated. I don’t think there’s a link beteeen side effects and whether it works or not. In some ways I hoped I’d feel different so I knew something was happening/it was working but my blood results confirmed it

@clarence58 yea I know what you mean I just need keep fingers crossed and wait for the first cycle drugs

Think I'm on CD1, which means clomid starts tomorrow! Can't get hold of the hospital (meant to ring them to book in for scans). So weird how they all monitor things differently.

I've just finished my first cycle of pills yesterday and I have my scan on Tuesday so fingers crossed it's doing something 🤞🏻

I picked up my first cycle of Clomid 50mg today.
Super nervous to start them...
not sure when I’m due on, as I was seriously late November & then December I was late, an only bleaded for a day an a half, I’m usually always on time or day early/late an on for 5 days,
But my phone smashed an I lost everything all my previous periods & ovulation tracking, been super stressed, so now just waiting to come on ....

Feels like iv been waiting for ever. Super nervous.

Doctor confirmed I didn’t ovulate last month also.

But iv not got given the option of bloods an scans....
basically just left to it an take the tablet on second day for 5 days ....

Anyone else had this lack of support... I’m nervous as it’s my first time. ?

Iv orderd loads of ovulation sticks so I can just keep weeing on them daily after taking it.

Forgot to say...

I paid private for a fertility scan ect.. no problems with my overys or tubes, no cysts ect.., just that one follicle was slightly smaller than the other.

Been trying for 3 years now an no hope.

Not sure what’s going on an why it isn’t happening, so hopefully Clomid works .. x

Desperately hoping someone can help me. Has anyone stopped taking Clomid after only two days and what was the outcome?

@Gemmalouise1992 that's so weird how they do things differently. I'm the opposite with three scans for my first clomid cycle. Fingers crossed it works for us both regardless! Have you had many tests etc done on the NHS? Some people seem to get access to clomid a bit more easily.

@Orpheus12 I read on a thread yesterday someone forgot to take one and was 12 hours late with their next dose and didn't ovulate that cycle but not everyone ovulates on clomid anyway supposedly so it may not have just been that.

I've finished my first cycle when do people normally ovulate after taking the last tablet?

Hi @debbie2901 I have ovulated day 18 or 19 on all four clomid cycles so far, but think that is longer than average cycle. I'm having trouble with hairloss. Anyone experienced this with clomid? Xx

I’m not gonna take round two I’ve decided until I’ve been to my endo appointment to sort out my high prolactin it seems a waste. The appointment is March 5th so not that long away

Although I definitely ovulated, my period arrived today and I’m definitely not pregnant.

It’s only month one so I’m glad that at least I ovulated on 50mg. I think I ovulated around day 14/15 and my cycle was 28 days

I could tell my period was coming yesterday which was made worse by being out for a birthday meal where everyone was either pregnant or had just had a baby. Plus my husband was away for work so I was the only one there not in a couple too

@Clarence58 sorry to hear AF arrival ☹ but really good that you ovulated and had a regular cycle, so definitely increased your chances!

It really sucks when everyone around you has what you want the most and you have to pretend it doesn't bother you ☹ if your cycle remains 28 days it's just 2 weeks until your next chance!

@willowjasmine how are you getting on with your first cycle? Have you had your bloods done yet?

@Clarence58 having my bloods in a week so due to ovulate around now, if it works. Haven't had any signs though and I usually get ewcm, which i haven't had yet. Not doing opks though so guess it's the waiting game.

It’s day 2 of my cycle so I’ll be taking my first tablet of cycle 2 tonight

Anyone had something similar happen?

So my first cycle was cancelled due to too many follicles but I ovulsted and had a 29 day cycle. Cycle 2 had 1 nice follicle so was given go ahead. Ovulsted circa d15 and a blood test on d20 confirmed. Felt my af was coming but took a pregnancy test on Saturday cd28 and it said not pregnant. So convinced af was coming and it felt it was... Now cd31 and no sign but some creamy cm, boobs very sore and bloated... Took a sainsburys test and there was the faintest of lines... Both my husband and I can see it but unsure whether we are seeing things or it's just an indent there... Driving me mad... Just wondering if there's still hope and has anyone else had a bfp show later than the norm? Still think my af will show tmorrow... This limbo is torture as I just expected around CD 28 a period or a bfp not neither!

Hi, new to the thread, I’ve taken clomid for 3 months now and whilst I’m 1 wk late atm 2 tests are neg & no other symptoms so just waiting for af. How do you cope with the mood swings clomid can cause? I have suffered from depression in the past (years ago) but its come back massively especially last month. Dh is worried as i’m so desperately teary. Work is super stressful with no end in sight either (been like that for 6 months now). Gynaecologist has suggested i take a couple of months off treatment to ‘rebalance’. Feel like I’m sinking, please tell me I’m not alone 😢

I was taking them going to bed and me and my dp were the worst we had ever been arguing every five minutes and it’s hard to keep blaming ‘the tablets.’

I’m having a month off due to high prolactin so I kind of felt that it was pointless taking them as the high prolactin would counteract the clomid. Sigh.

Not I have the worst, heaviest af of my life. Never ever been this bad. Sorry for tmi.

@Hummingbirdsarang never had anything similar but you do hear of BFPs taking a while to show on a test and in my opinion it's not over until AF shows so fingers and toes crossed for you

@Lostandnotfound sorry you are having a tough time at it. I really struggled in my first couple of cycles. Not had any depression or anything previously but the clomid took me to a dark place. I took December off so that we could just enjoy Christmas, eat and drink what we want and DTD for fun. Feel much better about things this month. I was also stressed and miserable at work so I changed jobs over Christmas. Feel much better about things

I took a digi one this morning CD 32 and it said I was pregnant! Nervous still but explains some things. I had no implantation bleeding but I've been burping like a champion all week!

@Hummingbirdsarang amazing news. Congratulations. What cycle of clomid were you on?

2nd but to be fair my 1st was cancelled because I had 4 follicles so this was first real chance I've had.
