Had all the tests and finally got the go-ahead today (a prescription and letter in the post!) So bit of a surprise. Will be starting on CD2 in about 4 days time hopefully.

Scared, excited, nervous.

@twiglet2353 just done another test and again low fertility but the lines on my strip test are much darker than before so things are looking good.. Had cramping all day today! 😬😬 i might just ovulate this month!

@Iqra786 ooh that bottom test is definitely heading in the right direction. Because I'm using the clearblue OPKs this cycle I can't really figure out when there's progression, as it monitors oestrogen as well as LH surges so the lines darken differently.
Bet it will be soon for you though!

I'm feeling really fed up tonight. Had a little moan to hubby about how I feel like it's not happening again this month, even though we're on double dose. @Somarch definitely agree with clomid affecting mental health x

Honestly the best thing is to think positive you don't want to stress yourself out and that will only add to the Hormonal imbalance.. Yes the bottom one looks good I just hope it gets darker!

@Twiglet2353 🙁 the crap us women have to go through!! Think I might give up & but a dog 😂 always here to talk to anyone that needs advise or just a chat though, lovely to have a group that actually understand what your going through xx

@Somarch oh no that sounds awful 😥 I asked the consultant about potential side effects like that and he just said I will have PMT as I'll actually be ovulating. As knowledgeable as he was, his bedside manner wasn't great and he didn't seem remotely interested in putting my mind at ease. I guess if I know what I'm expecting I'll be better equipped. Thank you.

I have PCOS and am now a very busy mum of 4! All under 5-DD,DS & Twins (S&D). Each was conceived using this wonderful drug. All I can say is keep trying, if my dreams can come true so can yours. X

Hi all , im really confused and have asked a few times but no one answers me. What day do you all ovulate on clomid ?

@Hop90 I think it’s around cd 14/15, everyone’s different though. Are you doing opks?
@willowjasmine hmm must be something with the consultants because mines the same! I had no warning if any side affects! Would of been nice to have the heads up about the hot flashes & mood swings 😂 thank god it only lasts a few days!xx

Don't know what to think or do now after scan I was to sensitive to first lot of Clomid 3 big follicles just had scan as they dropped me to 3 tablets and scan shows another 3 big ones they have told me not to go ahead with this cycle as risk of multiple so have to take no tablets next cycle has anyone eles been told not to take xxx

@Somarch oh good not just mine then! Any question I asked, he answered in such a patronising way. I understand he must get fed up of talking about it all day long but for me and DH it's all brand new and daunting. At least there are always MN threads!!!

Somarch Yeah I will start doing opks , last month on 50mg clomid I didn’t get a positive clear blue solid smiley till cd26? However I never went on to have a period so who knows .
Iv only seem my consultant once but seen 2 other people under him , I just feel very rushed and it’s only when I come out I think of all these questions I wished I would have asked. I have been given a number for a fertility nurse but she is off sick 🤕

@willowjasmine yes, I think that too! They just want to get you in, give you medication & get out as quick as possible 🙄 thank god for google & support forums xx

@Iqra786 how's the OPKs going? I had a flashing smiley this morning, and have had some cramping and EWCM today. Fingers crossed ovulation will be in the next few days!xx

@twiglet2353 that's great news!!!!!
I still keep getting low fertility :( I've had cramping for a good 2 days now.. Maybe I won't ovulate this cycle

@twiglet2353 today I found out that my pregesterone levels before taking clomid was 1.09 and when I was on 50mg clomid they were 9.9 on CD21 so was really hoping that this cycle I would atleast ovulate

@Iqra786 Fingers crossed its soon for you. If it's any consolation I've had positive OPKs every cycle but it's shown I'm not ovulating on bloods xx

Hi all I've taken Clomid day 3 to 7 and day 8 today. Had pains on my left side and a headache today and the night sweats have been a pain as affecting my temping gah!

How are you all doing?

@juneybean the hot sweats are real right! Funnily enough my headaches were worse on 50mg then they were 100mg..

Yep I'm taking 50mg but thankfully this was my first headache. Oh but I was crying wanting to go to bed at 6pm last night as was so exhausted, wife wasn't impressed haha.

We've got donor coming tonight to get some beasts up there before Christmas and if I don't ovulate over Christmas we will have another go boxing day/27th Dec.

(Backstory same sex couple trying at home for 18 months without the snifter of a bfp :( )

@juneybean the night sweats are quite something tbh I still get them and the last tablet I took was 10 days ago but to be fair I was on 100mg so the side effects may be worse I'm not complaining tho as long as it works 😂

@Iqra786 I got flashing smileys for 3 days before static last cycle. Looks like I'm on track for a surge CD16 again, with possible ovulation CD17. Everything I've read suggests bad egg quality (which is also what my consultant has suggested). So even when in theory I ovulate it's not strong enough to produce the progesterone needed to sustain a luteal phase....

Really trying to remain positive!
