Had all the tests and finally got the go-ahead today (a prescription and letter in the post!) So bit of a surprise. Will be starting on CD2 in about 4 days time hopefully.

Scared, excited, nervous.

Starting clomid this cycle and AF just arrived. What should I expect? X

Everyone's experiences are different. I really had no side bad physical effects apart from a few hormonal/rage episodes, and at the end of a cycle my periods whilst taking it were heavier than normal.

Some people seem to feel very unwell on it and others advise taking it at night to sleep through..

@lqra786 is that your progesterone level on CD28?
I was told my CD21 progesterone level had to be above 30 to indicate ovulation? x

Hi everyone. I took my first round of Clomid this month and something strange is going on. I’m wondering if anyone has had the same. So, each month, I have EWCM so I assumed I ovulated. Last month (without Clomid), scams showed a dominant follicle and a later blood test showed I ovulated. OPK’s were positive around day 13/14. My gynaecologist suggested this month I take Clomid to ‘improve the quality’ of my eggs. Sure enough, this month I had 2 larger follicles, one of which showed partial collapse meaning ovulation would happen imminently. However, that was on CD12, it’s now CD 15, OPKs are completely negative, no EWCM at all and I’m wondering did Clomid mess up my ovulation? 😰 has anyone had similar experiences?

I got my 21 day bloods back today and the level was 97.4 (previous month was 50.4) I've googled my phone to death looking for charts to see what they should be if I were to be lucky and be preggers. But can not find anything, even tried to look at a medical journal and just got completely confused.

So I will do a test this week to see if anything comes up as currently on CD26 .. hoping with everything this is our time

Loujodie In based in Essex , how did clomid 50mg work for u ?

Hop I have been on 2 rounds of 100mg so was never on 50 I'm afraid.

Couldn't wait any longer and only went and got a BFP this morning!!!! 🙀🙀🙀 I feel in shock and hoping it 'sticks' xxx

@Loujodie congratulations! It was about time we had another BFP on this thread 🎉. Hope it all goes well for you here on out and you've left a sprinkle of luck for this thread too xx

Hope this helps others feel positive.. I've been trying for 15 months and had two rounds of clomid at 100mg .. only ended up having sex 3 times so anything can happen! Good luck and baby dust to you all

I'm about to start 100mg clomid tomorrow.. Didn't ovulate with 50mg.. Did you have any major side effects with the 100mg and around what day did you ovulate..

Also anyone else start off on 50mg and then had to go to 100mg??

@Iqra786 I'm just awaiting AF to come in full flow (on the pre-AF spotting) and then I'm going up to 100mgs. Like you I didn't ovulate on 50mgs and did it over three cycles.

Would also be interested to hear if the hot flashes/headaches/general psychosis get worse? Haha xx

I was put straight onto 100mg so not sure if the side effects would have been worse. Generally I got them a week after finishing the course, hot flashes but not regularly. Bloating before AF was horrible and quite a heavy period (sorry!) but the tiredness was the hardest thing for me.. was over in about a week though.

40th AF. I'm out. Onto IVF at some point in the new year now.

@twiglet2353 I've taken the tablets for 2 days so far and tbh I've had no major side effect that being said I have noticed that my AF has gone very very light :/ don't kno if that's a side effect

New to this so hope it’s ok to join. Ttc for almost a year (a week off) and just waiting for my first 50 mg clomid prescription.

Af is odd, 32 days, 39, 30 etc so very up and down. Waiting for it to arrive now so I can begin.
Taking myo-insitol since June and this has made af more regular as before it was 50+ days before. Xx
