Had all the tests and finally got the go-ahead today (a prescription and letter in the post!) So bit of a surprise. Will be starting on CD2 in about 4 days time hopefully.

@hop90 to be honest I have never really tracked my ovulation so I'm not entirely sure if I do I ovulate on my own.. My periods have always been irregular though

Just after a bit of advice really, I took Clomid once in September and was allergic so they won't give it me again, I have did however ovulate. I never have periods unless have Nothisterine (sorry if spelt wrong). However in October I had a period so must have ovulated again, which was a surprise. This week I've been doing the digital clear blue tests and they've been flashing the smiley face. For the past 2 days I have a constant dull ache in my left side and sometimes it progresses to shooting pains, is this ovulation? Is this normal? Anyone else get this?

Im no expert but to me it seems like your ovulating!!! So when you take northisterone do you normally ovulate?

Hi, I don't think so, always been told it's just a fake bleed, as blood tests for years have always said I never ovulate, maybe the 1 month of clomid has kick started the ovaries into action!!!

👋 isn’t the flashing smiley face , only high fertility ? Doesn’t it have to be a static smiley for peak fertlity? Do you ovulate on your own ?

Hiya, I think flashing is high and then when it stops flashing its peak, I've been flashing for days now! 🤣. No I haven't ovulated on any blood tests until I had the clomid in September, then have had 2 periods since so I must now be ovulating, just these pains, never had them before, hopefully will be gone in the morning!

I'm on CD13 and 7 days after my last 100mg of clomid. Has anyone else found that the week after taking them you are super tired? I'm really lacking any kind of motivation and this also happened on my first round. This is my second.
I also get hot flashes and feel super angry and emotional. Like pmt but super extreme. I did ovulate last time and 21 day bloods were 50.3 and the AF that followed was the heaviest and most painful I've had in a long time.
Has anyone else had these symptoms?

Hi Loujodie, yes I was the same, and even the month after when I didn't take it, the sweating has only just stopped.... very glamourous lol!!

@loujodie hey, I completely sympathise with you on these symptoms!! The hot flashes were horrendous & the mood swings were unbearable... that was only on 50mg. Dread to think how bad it is with 100!
They do go after a week or so after you stop taking them!!
Chocolate & lots of sleep helped me 🙂 hope yours get better soon xx

Did you guys ovulate along with all the symptoms? I definitely did.. just hoping this month something actually happens! Really hate taking any meds

Hiya all , i was cycle day 26 yesterday (first cycle 50mg clomid) I had 21 day blood test which the result was only 2 and iv gotta go back tomorrow 28 day for a re test , all day yesterday I was getting pains in my left side so I thought I would take an clear blue ovulation stick ( I stopped using last week) and it was a solid smiley 😊 could I have ovulated so late ???

So i had my 21 day bloods last week on Monday been calling the hopsital since Wednesday and keep getting through to voice mail or keep getting told that they can't give me my results as only the gynaecologist can give them to me :/
I know I've not ovulated with clomid 50g but the bloods will just confirm this.. I'm on CD 28 I need to start my second cycle of clomid I'm thinking do I wait for the hospital to get Back in touch or shall I just start taking 100mg?

It's such a pain trying to get results isn't it!

This is my last round and I don't think I've ovulated. Normally I get a 2 day patch of fertile fluid, but nothing this month. Getting ready for IVF really.

It's so stressful knowing that the results are there but I'm still having to wait..
I'm geniuinely considering just increasing my dose myself..
Do you know how long the wait is for IVF?
Let's hope 2019 is our year!

Has anybody had it where they have ovulated on clomid one month but not the next? I had a cycle day 40 and now currently I am on cycle day 72. X

@Iqra786 I personally wouldn't up your dose until you've spoken to your gynae. Have you tried ringing their secretary?

The only reason I say this is that my CD21 bloods have shown I'm not ovulating on 50mg but for some reason my gynae has kept me on 50mg for three cycles now. I'm not sure of her justification behind it but I have an appointment with her in the morning and will let you know!

@twiglet2353 yes I have tried ringing the secretary I got through on Wednesday and she said she will ask the gyanae to call me.. I called again on Friday and got through to voicemail and again today I called and got through to voice mail

@Iqra786 only had bloods done cycle 2 as per gynae - No scans. And currently CD17 of my third cycle. Got a positive OPK this morning but I've always had positive OPKs and cycles between 25-32days, but very erratic luteal phase bleeding and progesterone levels have always shown no ovulation even when I've done them 7dp+ve OPK.

Would love to know goes on in that uterus of mine. And I'd definitely prefer more in depth monitoring. The past few months on clomid have probably been the hardest of our TTC journey so far. Constant battles through a secretary (whether that be GP or gynae) just wears you down!
This appointment tomorrow is actually in theory my (supposed) 6 week follow up appointment from my laparoscopy I had back at the very beginning of July!! 🙈

I've heard of US women who get scans for every cycle saying they ovved one month and not the next.
It might be that your consultant is aware and will write to you, I spent days leaving messages and one morning there was a letter from him with a script for more Clomid!

DH is currently wanking into a cup because I'm too ill for sex. I CANNOT wait to not do this anymore. IVF can't come soon enough.

@AliceScarlett Oh Alice my heart goes out to you but I did just have a little chuckle at how ridiculous our lives have become since TTCing. You never hear the stories of "first comes love, then comes marriages, then comes posting on Mumsnet as hubby wanks into a cup" 😂. I really hope by some stroke of luck this last cycle of clomid is what it takes to get you and I up-duffers
