Hi, I was wondering if anyone is about to start IVF. Would be good to go through this journey with someone/people. Share experiences etc.

Just had a call to say my second result is 304 so I’m officially pregnant.

I’m sorry that not everyone has been as lucky as me this time, I really hope that you are feeling as ok as you can be and that you can soon have a bfp too.

Good luck to those still in the tww, it’s so hard and I wish you so much luck 🤞

Snowdayfet · 24/03/2018 14:22

So glad to hear that rational. And am pleased at least one thread member has got their bfp!! All the very best for a happy & healthy pregnancy.

Flowers to everyone else.

Has anyone eaten anything specific to help with implantation? Just wondering if I can do anything different second time round x

TryingToStayRational · 25/03/2018 19:18

I didn’t eat anything specific. Especially not pineapple, because I’m allergic! I just tried to eat generally well and drink plenty of water. I hope you get a good follow-up appointment and are lucky the next time Flowers

csds · 26/03/2018 12:06

I ate pineapple core and drank a lot of pomegranate juice 100% Pom as I know that helps thicken lining and had experienced a significant increase in lining thickness when I started to drink it. I also took a week off when I had transfer and rested as much as possible. Listened to ivf calming meditation before bed which I felt was really calming so I didn't feel stressed over the EC and transfer periods. Xx

Fab news tryingto! Xx

@trying That’s amazing - congrats! :-)

Had my day 5 blasty transferred this morning, so exciting!! Any tips for the tww?
I feel like it’s really going to drag!

Im so sorry to hear some of you ladies have had bad news this time, it must be really awful but I hope that you're ok 💐
X

TryingToStayRational · 26/03/2018 18:10

That’s great, Leah!

Tww is really hard and you will probably go a bit mad. Keeping busy and the mindful IVF app helped me, but I still went a little bit nuts tbh. Fingers crossed for you!

Leah2018 · 05/04/2018 14:52

Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is ok?
Just wondering if anyone else experienced bad tummy pain at all? Just above and below my belly button area in the last 2 days, and seems to be more painful when I walk.
I’m not sure whether this is another cyclogest side effect and I’m over reacting or if I should check with the hospital.
2ww is nearly up - test day on Saturday
Xx

TryingToStayRational · 05/04/2018 15:11

Hi Leah, my tummy did get bloated and uncomfortable thanks to cyclogest (trapped wind and constipation - sorry if TMI!) but I wouldn’t say it was painful. I would ring your clinic just in case for some reassurance. Better to call now than leave it til out of hours. It’s probably fine but I’m sure they’d rather you rang if you’re concerned. Oo not much longer to wait, 🤞 for you!

csds · 14/04/2018 15:09

Leah fingers crossed for today 🤞xx

Hi there, how are you doing? I have not started my experience. The thing is I had my IVF. A successful IVF. It was not successful for the first attempt. I guess it was my fault. I was so skeptical about it. Plus I hated needles. It was such a pain. Then when it failed once. My doctor called me. He explained that my mind was not ready to accept it. That is why my body rejected it too. He asked me to be positive. He assured me that it will work this time. Well, he was right. I am 16 weeks pregnant now. I hope you will not repeat the same mistake. Good luck xoxo.
