Hi, I was wondering if anyone is about to start IVF. Would be good to go through this journey with someone/people. Share experiences etc.

Ugh just cracked and tested at 5dp5dt and a snowy white bfn. Have a feeling this is not my round...

herewegoagain18 · 13/03/2018 07:52

Hi snow sorry you are feeling dispondent . Please don't lose heart yet though I know it's hard If you have a feeling it's not worked. I'm keeping everything crossed for you xxx

TryingToStayRational · 13/03/2018 08:37

Hope it was just too early to pick up, Snowday. Still have everything crossed for you 🤞

Snowdayfet · 13/03/2018 09:12

Thanks all. I know it’s too early but I got a bfp at 4dp5dt last time (my now son!) so it’s hard not to compare. Will try to hold on until 7dpt before I test again 🙈

Kjackson02 · 13/03/2018 19:40

So we have nothing to freeze, just have to hope this little blastocyst makes it xx

csds · 13/03/2018 19:56

Herewego so sorry to hear your news, I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Thinking of you ❤️

Quick question are people still taking folic acid once et has been done as I haven't been advised either way?

TryingToStayRational · 13/03/2018 21:37

Sorry there were no Frosties for you either kjackson. Even one blastocyst is good though, so 🤞 for you! Def keep taking folic acid - NHS recommendation is until 12 weeks of pregnancy. Hope you’re feeling well. I’m ok but so tired and my hair is horribly greasy, yuk! Shock

Snowdayfet · 14/03/2018 06:54

Sorry you didn’t have any Frosties kjackson - but it only takes one! So will keep everything tightly crossed for you. Definitely keep taking your folic acid - you need to keep taking it until the spine is formed towards the end of the first tri.

rational hope you’re feeling better. The impact of all the ivf hormones is unreal - it’s so draining. One of the things that’s been nice about doing a natural fet this time round (I did medicated last time) is how few drugs you take (you just add 1 cyclogest pessary Post ovulation). Last time I remember being jacked up on loads of cyxlogest and progesterone (and prednisone and all the other stuff I’ve forgotten!). I rattled when I walked!

AFM, I tested with fmu this morning and got a faint but clear line - not strong but definitely not a squinter. So I think I’m pregnant for now. Could be a chemical so not necessarily getting my hopes up but I’m still in the game for now

TryingToStayRational · 14/03/2018 07:23

That’s great snowday! Hope it continues to get stronger Smile

Kjackson02 · 14/03/2018 19:45

Good luck @Snowdayfet seems like it's all going in the right direction. Has anyone else felt quite bloated after et? X

TryingToStayRational · 14/03/2018 20:21

kjackson I’m bloated, but not as bad as I was a few days after collection. Cyclogest is not my friend! I don’t know about you but it has played havoc with my digestive system, so in my case that has been the main problem, but if you’re worried maybe give your clinic a call for reassurance? I’ve found drinking loads and doing plenty of walking has helped.

Kjackson02 · 14/03/2018 20:39

Thanks @TryingToStayRational I thought maybe it was just me! They did say you can feel bloated so it must just be part of the process, I have been trying to drink more than 2 litres a day so hopefully it eases off soon I feel like I have put on a good free stone!!!!

Kjackson02 · 14/03/2018 20:54

The cyclogest also makes me sooooo tired I'm having to go to bed about 9 if not earlier!

PonyPals · 15/03/2018 11:36

Looks like we are transfer twins @Kjackson02
I had one emby transferred on Monday and test day is 23rd.
Feeling so bloated as if I'm 3 months pregnant!

Kjackson02 · 15/03/2018 12:23

@PonyPals ha ha that's so funny that we have the same dates! I know exactly what you mean it so strange isn't it by the end of the day I look huge! Fingers crossed it all works for you, I just want to know if it has worked and at the moment you just can't tell can you so annoying x

Kjackson02 · 15/03/2018 19:32

Has anyone had a positive result and not had implantation bleeding or anything?
