A belated Happy birthday 🎂 to Kath, I love champagne and double love truffle, those fries sound delicious.

Have fingers crossed for you Kwick.
Re the progesterone yes he buys it in a pharmacy, 100mg or 200mg which you can take orally or fanjoally.

Pug your sister has certainly had a tough time. Glad things are looking brighter for her.

I'm trying to decide whether to go and buy lunch or eat all the crap in my office (Kit kats and Skips). I'll probably eat it and still be hungry!

florafoxtrot · 28/11/2017 14:48

Hello ladies, I've fallen behind again!

Pug - I had a scan last week on CD2 - it was fairly horrifying for me and DH but the nurse took it all in her stride. And it seems to be important for determining a baseline.

Welcome kate - I've also seen a lot of your comments on other threads - they inspire many a wry smile! Sorry to hear that you've been through the TTC mill too.

How are you getting on Jam - egg collection must be imminent?

Good luck to Struggle and Kwick - hope you are both keeping cosy! Don't forget to send a picture of the puppy Kwick

Welcome back Alexia - I hope the ear starts to improve more. How long is the wait to see a ENT?

I'm also up for a Whatsapp group. -not sure if I'd be any better at keeping up though! Will send you a DM Skipper

Enjoy your Christmas day Kerry - make sure you have plenty mulled wine.

Wine - I think this thread might be a good place for normalizing IVF - albeit you do have the experience of your sister - but I guess its not exactly the "done thing" - but reading PJs story of it made it not sound too bad at all. I think what scares me most is the emotional stuff - I can deal with the physical aspect. But I guess we are dealing with the emotions all the time anyway and our break points are much further than they were at the start of this journey. I may be waffling...

Glad that investigations are starting properly Flash and hopefully things will start to move more quickly for you now. My FC are pretty sure that I'm not ovulating every month hence the offer of the medicated IUI cycle. Know its not a BFP but even the idea of moving back onto an even playing field will make me feel better.

I had my third Gonal-F injection last night and have a scan tomorrow. Still not sure if I am experiencing side effects or am just hyper sensitive to everything going on in my body. It's a bit like being a new TTC-er again...

Sorry for anyone that I've missed! Sending lots of high fives

JeNeBaguetteRien · 28/11/2017 14:50

Sorry I meant Passthewine's sister, mumsnetting in a hurry.

OverinaFlash · 28/11/2017 15:02

Flora excited that it's all gearing up and I really hope it works for you! And yes, knowing something is not right, is at least a step forward, as my body has been telling me for nearly two years that all was not well just wished the bloody gps had listened instead of telling me if I had a regular period everything must be fine.

JeNe eat kitkats and skips! Mmmm skips. Or, as is your namesake, go and buy a baguette and cheese and eat that...I may be drooling slightly in my office now!

Pug dildocams during AF/while bleeding are pretty gross, but to be honest, they put so much gel goo on it that you feel pretty gross anyway, and they really are so used to it, I don't think they probably see it the same way. There's definitely lots of worse bodily fluids than menstrual blood (in my opinion). Hope the scan went well!

AliceScarlett · 28/11/2017 16:02

Hey everyone,

Alexia Good to hear from you. Really glad to hear that you're still trucking on. Hope is important I think. A moderate amount anyway. If this was WhatsApp I'd definitely be better at keeping up,

Keeping a close eye on the thread for your BFP Kwick!

Jam egg collection soon?

I'm horribly hopeful this cycle. Last 2 cycles I have had a solid patch of CM around cycle day 10 of 24 day cycles. DTD on CD 8 and 9. We will see. Fertility clinic next month anyway if not. Hope I don't have to have another AF scan.

kwick · 28/11/2017 18:14

flash 😂😂😂😂 lets hope my FRER tomorrow has read the memo!!!!
So glad you are getting results in - knowledge is power and if you are low on something that can be corrected.

Thanks jene please provide price details 😬
I 💓 Skips!!!

flora as I have never TTC through chukka-chukka all I have are my experiences with IUI and IVF - so my somewhat biased view is this: at least you are somewhat upping your chances and have experts helping you on your way.

flash your GP is a twat 🤬

🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 Alice!!!

QuietTime · 28/11/2017 18:43

flash hope you get some answers xx

Happy birthday week mouse; kath did you say it was your birthday too? Hope you enjoyed it

pass good to hear from you and great you're prepping yourself for IVF, hope you get some reassurance here if it's something you want to do

Alice nice to hear from you; fx for you - always nice to see the 'right' signs with CM...hope you don't need the appointment next month!

Wow kwick is it almost FRER time?! Everything crossed

struggleisreal · 28/11/2017 19:39

Wow it's been a busy day on here today! I would love to be in a WhatsApp group! Will PM you skip.

So sorry to hear about your ear alexia - you poor thing

Hope your scan went well pugmum

Welcome kate - I have also seen you around other threads so nice to see you here (although obviously sorry we are all here). Very frustrating about your GP - glad you have been able to self refer!

baguette I cried at the prince harry / Meghan interview on the radio this morning...damn hormones! Hope you had the skips / kit kat!

pjs hope your interview has gone well - was it today? Fingers crossed for you!

Happy birthday kath 🍾🥂. Sounds like you're having a lovely day!

wine sorry to hear about your sister, how traumatic for her (and you!) but glad she is in a good place now. I know 2 people in real life who have had it...one who it worked for and one who is still going, so I think it does shape what you think of it a bit. Traveling two hours doesn't sound ideal but sure t will all be worth it!

kwick hope you're keeping calm and thinking of the puppy! 🐶🐶

flash hope you've managed to speak to the doctor? Although hard to get bad news, it's probably better to know. My husband always says that it was a problem anyway but you just didn't know about it, now you've got all the facts. Has clomid been suggested? Sometimes low progesterone can be because you've not had a strong enough ovulation so hopefully they might consider that.

kerry chatsworth fair is meant to be amazing - try the brownies, a top tip from one of my colleagues!

alice fingers crossed for this month!

I always laugh when they put the line, then condom (always durex!) and then more lube on the dildo cam - if my husband's not going to get me pregnant I'm sure it won't! 😂

For all of you coming up to IVF I think the whole thing has actually been more manageable than I thought it would be...the injections are really not that bad and I don't feel too jaded now I am nearly out the end. I even came out of egg collection thinking 'I could do that again'...am actually feeling quite zen today, knowing that whatever will be will be. I did swear at a colleague earlier today so obviously could do with being a bit more zen.....

sk1pper · 28/11/2017 19:43

Flash - DM me your mobile number if you do want to join, the groups set up now.

Good luck Alice - being hopeful wonderful, it CAN and WILL happen!! Xx

Jamon · 28/11/2017 19:57

Kerry I LOVE chatsworth so much and they do Christmas so well! Enjoy, I wish I could join you

Flash sounds largely good news and positive they've got more info to work with now on your 21 day bloods

What kind of side effects are you getting flora? I haven't had much but now getting bloated and LOTS of ovulation type pain. Yes it's likely egg collection for me Monday eeeek

Hello Alice good to see you, fingers crossed for this cycle for you. Fertile cm is so reassuring! I've got it this week and obv can't try - very strange.. Yep egg collection likely Monday, I've got another scan Friday to see

Struggle totally agree so far with IVF. If you can take each bit at a time and not get too ahead of yourself it's not too bad. Will have to see if I still feel this way after egg collection!!

planegazer · 28/11/2017 20:05

skip I've messaged you 😀 hope it's ok to join! 🤗

OverinaFlash · 28/11/2017 20:31

So weirdly, GP called and said my progesterone results confirm ovulation although wouldn't give me a number. So really good news and he said we need to wait for your husband's semen analysis. So it's looking like we'll be heading to the fertility clinic for further tests. DH is convinced his sperm are fine, not sure how he's going to cope if that's not the case.

I've messaged you skipper so excited for a WhatsApp group!

I don't know what to think now. I was hoping lack of ovulation would explain all the bleeding etc, maybe they would give me clomid and see how that worked. Feel oddly deflated even though it's good news. Sorry I know that makes me sound utterly ridiculous when some of you would love to hear that all is fine!

Pugmumfornow · 28/11/2017 20:49

Hi all thanks for all the lovely messages and support, scan went ok ish. Iv got about 20 follicles on each side but they aren’t growing, they have said just to continue with the low dose and and re scan on Friday, so not bad but not good either! X

KerryLeanne84 · 28/11/2017 21:34

That's odd Flash after she intimated something was off. I know exactly what you mean - I know having MFI or something else isn't delightful, but at least if you knew what was 'wrong' you could work out how to sort it.

Jam I'll upload a couple of pics of christmassy chatsworth onto here tomorrow!

Sk1p just about to dm you :)

Kathrino · 28/11/2017 21:45

Flash, I think in some ways it's harder to find out there's nothing wrong than to find out there's something wrong (although obviously both are pretty shitty). This whole thing leaves you feeling so powerless and not having answers just adds to Thad.

Sk1pper I will dm my number tomorrow when I'm on my computer, don't think I can do it from the app. Looking forward to more chat (and anyone else feel pressure re their whats app profile picture now?!)

Pug, glad the scan was okay. Hoping for more good news for you on Friday!

Wine, it sounds like your sister has really been through it. I'm glad to hear that life is better for her now.

Struggle your words re IVF are so encouraging and good to read!

Kwick, sending good wishes for tomorrow's FRER 😘

Thanks for all the birthday wishes ladies! Had a lovely day yesterday and then celebrated with some friends tonight. I am drowning in chocolate which I think can only be a good thing!

polkadotpixie · 28/11/2017 23:07

Evening!

Kwick- Good luck for tomorrow's test, keeping everything crossed for you!

Flash - Great news about your results! I'm in a similar situation, CD3 bloods fine, CD21 bloods indicate ovulation (although still relatively low). DH's semen analysis is also fine so no clear reasons so far for my short, light periods & failure to conceive

AFM, I have my first fertility appointment on Thursday and am quite frankly shitting myself Blush

Pyjamas81 · 28/11/2017 23:14

Hi everyone - sorry for the silence, the last couple of days have been mental! Got an email late last night saying that everything was going to be kicking off big time today at work so had to prep for that, get up at 5am to do more work on it, then go for interview, then didn't leave work until 9pm! I'm shattered!!

Good luck for test tomorrow kwick!

And skipper - I would totally love to join the WhatsApp group - will dm you my number when I'm in front of a computer again tomorrow.

Glad you had a great birthday kath!

Wowee egg collection for you on Monday jam! Am rooting for you!!

You're so right about it all not being as physically gruelling as expected struggle - I'd say 95% of the struggle for me is mental/emotional and that's only really at the end.

Sorry to everyone I've missed - so much to catch up on and I'm exhausted!

Interview went really well I think and I'll hopefully know either way tomorrow. I am absolutely TERRIFIED.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 29/11/2017 00:10

Very tired but just wanted to say good luck for appointment Polka.

PJs sounds like a mega stressful day... I hope you get good news tomorrow 🤞

Kwick the progesterone was €10 a box, either 30 x 100mg, or 15 x 200mg, so same amount overall, just depends how much someone wants to take. The brand is Utrogestan.

geeup · 29/11/2017 06:54

Just coming on to say good luck @kwick xx

polkadotpixie · 29/11/2017 07:08

Baguette - Thank you! So nervous already and it's not for another 26 hours yet!

Pyjamas - Good luck with the job news today Smile

Can anyone already past this stage of their journey tell me what to expect from my appointment tomorrow? It seems to be with the doctor not a nurse & is NHS if that makes a difference? Thank you Smile

struggleisreal · 29/11/2017 07:17

Welll done pjs and sorry it was all so gruelling at work yesterday. Maybe when you get the offer you will know what the right thing to do is?

Jamon · 29/11/2017 08:09

Good luck tomorrow polka 🤞🏼 First appointment for me at the fertility clinic was a look through notes and questions about trying. Had an internal scan right there and then (wasn't expecting that). Then they ordered bloods for both of us and have DH paperwork to do a semen analysis . I have my questions I wrote down before somewhere... here it is
Questions

Me
Prolactin
Short periods
Abdo pain in night
Hycosy / HSG?
Ovarian reserve test?
Clomid?
Should I take anything to improve egg quality
How often should we have sex?
Lifestyle changes e.g. Alcohol

Him
Morphology
Proxeed
Lifestyle changes e.g. Alcohol
Does low morphology suggest other sperm problems e.g. Sperm survival or DNA?
Further sperm tests
IVF / ICSI
Treatment timelines

Pyjamas bloody hell what a day! Keeping everything crossed for the new job for you 🤞🏼

Thanks everybody for the kind words about my sister, and about IVF @KerryLeanne84 she does know about my ivf and she is being really positive and supportive about it.
@sk1pper thank you, I might just do that, it's always good to have somebody who you know can understand your worries and fears. As much as my friends in real life try their best I can't expect them to ever really understand. I will also DM you my number for the WhatsApp group purleeease!

@kwick everything crossed for some positive news today 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

passmethewine123 · 29/11/2017 08:33

Also @OverinaFlash I find it really weird that your GP wouldn't give you the figure?! At the end of the day it's your bloody progesterone, why shouldn't you know what it is?! I had mine done twice, the first time the result was 18 which is low and suggests an anovulatory cycle, my period also came two days early that cycle too. Second time was 55 which is right where it should be, I wonder if sometimes I do just have an odd anovulatory cycle here and there.
