Hi all. We're a group of first timers who've been plugging away on the conception boards for some time. The support here is amazing so if you're in a similar boat please jump onboard.

Time to hand hold through treatments and support each other through to becoming the mums we deserve to be 💪🏼🌸🙏🏼

Not long for bed 😴

MouseLove · 15/10/2017 08:07

Kwick 😂😂🙈
This Snowman....

I'm hoping I'm not too fat for acupuncture 😳

In other news. I JUST GOT A STATIC SMILIE!!!! It's CD14!!!! I nearly dropped the thing down the loo with excitement. That's 5 days earlier than last time and the first time since mmc that I'll be hopefully ovulating at a normal time. Now I just gotta pounce DH when he wakes up... it's not weird to watch him right?? 😂😂😂😇

kwick · 15/10/2017 09:18

mouse WHY would you watch something like that except under duress??????
Hope you are having you some shagging Grin
Oh and a) you are not fat and b) if I can have acupuncture so can you!

Mouse hurrah for better cycle 🙌🏼 I am frequently hairy for acupuncture and beyond caring. ‘‘Tis the season for a little extra body warmth

Kwick how’s the 2nd calendar is this the M&S one??

I’ve been to meet a friend for brunch at London Bridge and had a lovely stroll on Southbank, nice chilled Sunday 👌🏼 time to get back and cook something healthy for lunches next week, and meant to be baking too as my Yan got booted off the GBBO last week...

Lemony my right ovary is polycystic. They have never seemed bothered by it as blood tests show I ovulate, and my cycles are very regular. I wonder from time to time if it’s affected things. I believe it makes me slightly more at risk of OHSS during IVF so got to keep an eye on it. Have they checked you’re ovulating yet with blood tests?

Hello lovelies, glad you enjoyed the meet up those that went, did you all wear pineapple 🍍 hats? I will try my very best to get to London if you do another one. The support on this thread is super, I don't talk to anyone in RL about our TTC struggles, other than long-suffering DH of course.
We stayed with friends yesterday who had the creakiest bed ever, it was like a comedy sketch, so ended up DTD on the floor, too old for all that!
I have just landed back in the UK, the last day that Monarch customers could get a free replacement flight, phew! It was a bit stressful and check in was a shambles but really glad to get here and get on the road home.
Kerry congratulations on the house.
Mouse I've been having acupuncture for months, hairy legs don't affect the results so I go as I am! Have had needles in ear, head, feet and plenty of other places, I wear baggy trousers I can roll up (or shorts a few times when I actually did defuzz). It doesn't hurt. Big up your static smiley!

Kwick you are a whirlwind! Thanks for tips re advent calendars, I am definitely getting one.

Jam sounds like you've had a busy morning too, go you.

Lemony hope you get some reassurance from doctors.

I can't scroll back any further without losing my post so hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend.

QuietTime · 15/10/2017 16:09

Congrats on the house Kerry!

Yay for the lovely meet-up, was thinking of you xxx

mouse that's awesome, get shagging :)

lemon really hope it's not something to be too worried about - will the GP talk it through with you?

Should be entering FW, so making a mental note to come home on time this week Grin

Hope you guys are all enjoying your Sundays!

Hi everyone

It's been months since I've been on here but wanted to stop in to say hello. It's nice to see some familiar names but not nice in the sense that you're still here if you get what I mean.
I need to catch up with the thread. Wonder if anyone can do a short summary?
Just to recap, I had clomid for 5 cycles (+trigger shot for last 2), had a BFP in July which ended in a chemical. Had a break as needed treatment for pre cancerous cells in cervix. Just started first round of IVF and am on injections now. Scan tomorrow and hopefully egg collection on Wed, all being well.

Pyjamas81 · 15/10/2017 23:11

Bahahaha baguette - we’ve had to GOS in the floor before to avoid creaky beds!

👋🏼 otters ☺️

Despite last week’s shock, DH and I ended up having a lovely weekend. Went to Sunday Assembly today and belted out some Adele, Katy Perry and Guns n Roses songs, listened to an interesting chat then went home and had my piano lesson which I always love! Can’t believe it’s Monday AGAIN tomorrow. Terrible.

WingingIt83 · 16/10/2017 12:45

Just checking in again. Very jealous you all met up. I'm in London occasionally so will try the next one Smile

These last few weeks leading up to out first ivf appointment are dragging so much, I just want to know what the timescales are.
This cycle is a write off. Only did it twice and then temps been rubbish making me question if I even ovulated this month. Much less ewcm than normal.

We have both agreed however that if we don't get told we can start ivf imminently then we will use our savings and go privately.

otters2017 · 16/10/2017 15:19

Been for my scan earlier today and I have 10 follicles. Whoop whoop!! Started with 4-6 so it's quite incredible and they've booked me in for EC on wed! It's all starting to feel so real now. Last day of injections today then nothing tomorrow phew. Hope there's lots of nice eggs in there🤞

That's great news Otters, congrats!

Glad you all had a good time on Sat and sorry I wasn't able to make it. I had a busy weekend with the parents instead, and avoided all talk of babies/IVF (I've not told them anything about it yet, and am feeling a bit bad about it...)

Things aren't quite going to plan here as I am supposed to be on Day 1 of my cycle now after stopping the Norethisterone on Friday. Instead, there is no sign of anything happening, which means tomorrow's scan has been cancelled and it looks like I won't start my injections on Weds as originally planned.
I guess the whole cycle is pretty up in the air right now and I could well end up being delayed by a month or two, which is very frustrating...

Hope all of your Mondays have gone quickly and been stress-free. Looks like the end of the world outside with this crazy red sun!

MouseLove · 16/10/2017 18:19

Kwick 😂 It wasn't sooooo scary but the cinema got stopped half way through to escort some woman out. 😂 DRAMA! When you said I was there in spirit, I hope you lot wasn't shaming my good name. 😂😂😂

And yes yesterday was a go! I plan on pouncing tonight too as I'm pretty certain I ovulated today!! Yay!!! Now I gotta cling onto it being a good cycle. 🤞🤞🤞

Lemon hope you can get some answers. Although I now know two ladies who have become pregnant with PCOS after trying for over a year.

Jam, what did you make for lunches? I try and meal prep on a Sunday but it always ends up me just making enough to last until Tuesday 😂 I made soup yesterday which will do me until tomorrow. #fail Also I forgot to say, the mouse thing in my name... naw I'm a Disney fan. 😉

JeNe if she comes anywhere near my feet I might kick her in the face. Jeeze. 😂😂😂 I'm not good with feet. She can stick the needles anywhere else!! Good on you for floor sex, there's not a chance that would have happened for me. Would have taken me hours to get back up 🤣

Quiet get home, whisper in his ear. 😎

Otters that's fab news and I wish you all the luck on this cycle. 10 follicles is awesome news!!!

Pyjamas glad you had a good weekend, you both deserve it after last week. How is DH now? Has he spoken about it yet? X

Winging how long have you had to wait so far? Fx it's not too long after your appointment. X

Penguin I'm sorry AF is late! (Which is a little ironic isn't it) but hopefully it won't impact things. Our bodies can be the most frustrating things at the most inconvenient times. Sending good vibes!

kwick · 16/10/2017 18:29

jamon second calendar is the Look Fantastic one - cannot open until 1/11!

lemony I have PCOS but I do not think that per se means you will have trouble to conceive. Are your AFs regular? Are you ovulating?

otters welcome back and 🤞🏼!!!

pjs what is Sunday assembly????

Oh that is disappointing inspector... what happens next?

I had a lovely spa day yesterday at the Porchester Spa including a massage with Reiki. I have been to the same lady before and she was extremely positive about me TTC which has put me in such a good mood!!! I am on my way to SW - really hope I managed to lose something but had a bit of a blow out yesterday so not likely...

InspectorPenguin · 16/10/2017 19:54

I just have to wait, Kwick. Ring the clinic when it does finally arrive and they will see if they can co-ordinate scans for the right days (they only do them twice a week).
If not, then I guess it's another month gone and another course of Norethisterone and another wait... :(

Pyjamas81 · 16/10/2017 19:59

DH much better about everything mouse - still livid that this issue has only just been discovered, but at least he’s talking! And good work on the GOSing! Go go go!!

Kwick - The best way I can describe Sunday Assembly is it’s like church but without the religion. A bit of singing to some great songs (loved guns n roses and Katy Perry’s Roar yesterday!), there’s usually a talk by speakers they bring in so yesterday was how to think like a toddler and the one before was ‘how racist is the Uk?’, there’s a poetry reading and someone gets up and tells their story about whatever is going on in their life. They’re big on volunteering as well and organise a lot of group stuff. It’s a really uplifting thing to do! This is the website: nationbuilder.sundayassembly.com/london

Your spa day sounds great!!

Jamon · 16/10/2017 21:08

Jene definitely been here with the floor shagging. Needs must!

Otters good to see you, wow you’ve been busy! How are you finding the drugs so far? All the best with collection this week, go get those little eggs 🥚

Sunday assembly sounds awesome pyjamas, I had never heard of that before

Winging totally totally with you on time dragging. I think the last few cycles before treatment are the worst - or maybe it just gets worse as it goes on! Ahhh

Penguin how frustrating - I really hope you’re not delayed 🤞🏼 hope you’re alright

Mousel I have been making a Moroccan carrot 🥕 salad recently which is very good - and chucking in a can of chickpeas for extra filling. www.google.co.uk/amp/www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-moroccan-spicy-carrot-salad-recipe-snap-20170119-story,amp.html

Kwick I spent some time today browsing calendars online... I am yet to select but I’m definitely getting one!

Seeing as our meet was such a raving success and there have been mentions of another... would anyone fancy another before Christmas? Could maybe do a Christmas brunch or lunch? Realise that time of year gets verrrrrry busy but I don’t mind doing a doodle and seeing if by a miracle a date works?

OP posts:
Pyjamas81 · 16/10/2017 21:40

That would be great jam! I’m off to Florida on the 14th Dec and have a wedding on the 8th in Ireland but I’ll try my best to make any other dates on the doodle!

kwick · 16/10/2017 21:54

inspector what do they only do twice a week? EC? What clinic are you at?
Keeping LSFX for you!

Wow pjs Sunday Assembly sounds cool! Glad you had a good time.

jamon that is what I like to hear - another beauty advent calendar convert Grin
I am up for another meet up!! I may even dig my passport out so we can go south of the river!!!

SW - I maintained 😩 I have to be good this week as I need a loss to boost my spirits.

otters2017 · 16/10/2017 22:04

jamon meetup sounds great. Sounds like a good one last weekend, shame I couldn't make it.
The drugs have been fine for me, minimal side effects. The clinic is very good and thorough so very impressed so far. I've been there every other day for almost 2 weeks!! Are you starting soon? Which clinic are you using?

kwick well done on maintaining your weight on SW. Spa day sounds lush

pjs glad DH is much better. Totally with you on feeling angry about finding out so late 😡

inspectorpenguin hope it's not going to be a long wait for you. How frustrating !

mouse hope you managed to catch that egg!

wingingit when's your appointment ?

Sorry if I've missed anyone else. There's so much to catch up on this thread.
