Morning my loves, I'm post a hideous stretch of night shifts 😴 I haven't wanted to read and run. Just wanted to send lots of luck and love today ElizabethCatherine, let us know how EC goes.

Sorry AF got you AmyL, great that your progesterone was so high though. Keeping everything crossed this is your month. I've been told the same about Clomid best to take later than early!

That's great about the EWCM SLady, the month I had loads I got a positive OPK 2 days later.

I decided to pay for tracking scans this month and on day 10 was really positive as I
had 3 good size follies and one was dominant but on day 12 nothing had grown 😕 my lining was really thin too. Hoping something will start happening in the next few days!

SLady · 09/10/2017 10:29

Just spoke to the fertility clinic and she said she would recommend having the flu jab. She said it won't interfere with ovulation, TTC or pregnancy. I'm torn i know what you're saying Amy what's the point in risking it. The reason I've had it done through work the past few years is I had the flu over Xmas for 2 years running and not being able to get out of bed or eat Christmas dinner was torture! Haha. Plus it's free so always have just had it done.

I also asked about the CD21 blood test and she said they get everyone in CD21 no matter what the cycle length is and they'd still be able to tell even if it was a bit early Hmm which sounds crazy to me?!! Why are my clinic so weird waaahhh

Although she did also say she has a good feeling for me this month so let's hope she speaks the truth Grin

SLady · 09/10/2017 10:35

Hi sunny oooh that's interesting I've thought about doing that too. Will you have any more tracking scans to see if anything has grown, they could be late developers? That's a shame about your thin lining, hopefully your supplements will start to kick in, when do u start taking them? I've heard pomegranate juice helps too - not sure how true that is. What CD are you now?

AmyL88 · 09/10/2017 12:01

@SLady That's odd she said that about your CD21 Bloods because what if you Ovulate late? CD21 is for the 'normal' 28 day cycle where you would ovulate on CD14...Strange! I suppose you don't need to worry about it too much, if your progesterone results come back slightly lower you know why esp with using OPKS you will get a better understanding.

Lets hope she is right about the positive feeling...surly one of us is due some good news soon!!

I've splashed out on some CB ovulation tests this month...£20 off amazon for 10 tests. Not sure why tbh they won't give me anymore information than my IC's do I just hate trying to figure out if the line is darker or as dark...ahhh!

SLady · 09/10/2017 12:32

Amy I know right, it doesn't make sense?! I said about my cycle being 32 days and she said I know what you're saying but we can still tell from CD21 even if you have a longer cycle and ovulate later. I guess my progesterone will be creeping up by then and then if AF comes they just put two and two together and assume you ovulated. Who knows!

I know fingers crossed. It has to work for one of us soon Star we need some good news on this thread it's been a while!!

I'm tempted to buy some CB tests too. I know I can't change anything and I should just be relaxed and trying not to stress but id also like to know what's going on too!

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 09/10/2017 19:41

Big hugs to everyone who’s having a hard time at the moment, it’s a total head melt sometimes!

I had my folly tracking scan today but i haven’t responded to 50mg Clomid and have no follicles this month Sad

So now need to wait for my next cycle (I only ovulate every other month) and double the dose. Hey ho, the waiting game continues!

HollyWollyDooDah · 09/10/2017 21:41

I probably know the answer to this but what would you guys do?

I'm so horrendously tired all the time. Not head tired but my body is tired
And it hurts
My back hurts my chest hurts my legs hurt my feet hurt my left lower abdo hurts
I've been on slimming world for ten weeks and lost just over a stone and I feel worse
I have no energy and everything is such a task.
My mum is driving me mad as she wants to meet for lunch on Sunday but I'm just tired. She's having my dd for the weekend as I want to go beating on Saturday with oh as he is shooting and I just don't know if I'll be able to go? Don't particularly want to which is odd because I love going it's a brilliant days walking and working with my dog
It's twenty to ten and I have the valuers coming tomorrow and I haven't even started the housework - can't see my bedroom floor - can someone just put me down please

Lorddenning1 · 10/10/2017 10:37

@SLady my 21 days test came back really low and I said if my cycles are long, day 21 won't show anything etc, she said come back on day 28, sure enough, it came back as I had ovulated, not surprising my day 21 was low :(

AmyL88 · 10/10/2017 11:34

@ConfusionIsNothingNew Stay positive...I didn't respond to 50mg but since i moved up to 100mg they confirmed i had ovulated with bloods and a scan.

@HollyWollyDooDah Sorry you are feeling shittty! Did AF get you in the end? Well done on losing the stone. I am on SW also have lost 10lb so far...Couple more stone to go!!!

How is every one else? Will start this months clomid tonight. AF seems weirdly light this cycle, and its a mix of browny/ red blood. Sorry TMI!! Do you think i should go to the Dr's? Last couple of cycles the nurse has said my lining looks good but now i know i am not being monitored this cycle i am worrying!!!!

SLady · 10/10/2017 11:43

Keep positive confusion I had no response whatsoever on the 50mg but the 100mg seems to be doing something so don't lose hope!

Sorry you're having a rough time holly Sad hugs

I know lorddenning my hospital are so regimented in their approach. Maybe they will just up my dose in the hope that it makes me ovulate sooner. Who knows? I'll see what my CD21 result is like. I'm expecting it to be a bit low as I think I ovulated around CD18 last month. I've bought some CB ov sticks for the first time (amy im blaming you!) so I'll see how they go too.

Amy I wouldn't worry to much. This AF is the lining that's been scanned and they said was all good so I don't think there's anything to worry about. I don't think a light AF is always directly related to lining.

Hope everything's ok Elizabethcatherine and all went well yesterday been thinking of you

HollyWollyDooDah · 10/10/2017 19:29

Thank you everyone it's nice to just share with people who know what I'm going through!
Well I've got the pinky stuff again, time will tell
I'm not going to test as feel it's a waste as it's probably af being a cow! Xx

SoapyChoc · 11/10/2017 11:33

Hi all.

Holly are you feeling any better?

I'm a bit lost as to where everyone is at at the moment.

Hope Monday went well @ElizabethCatherine

Closest school friend who has only been married a few months announced she is pg on Saturday. I was so worried if she got preg soon I would burst in to tears but I managed to be suitably excited and I am happy for her. I did feel a bit teary on and off after the friends had gone though.

I had some EWCM for a few days last week so hoping maybe Metformin has helped me to Ovulate and I'm in with a chance. Got a big do for my husbands work at the weekend. I barely ever drink and it's sods law there may be a small chance of being pg and I will feel like I can only have 1 small drink. I don't want to go mad but it would be nice to join in with having several drinks feeling a bit merry.

SLady · 11/10/2017 12:00

Hi Soapychoc sorry to hear about your baby bomb, they're always awful. I'm glad you handled it better than you thought you would. I think you should let your hair down and have a few drinks. Now I'm on Clomid I'm off alcohol completely in the hope it'll help me with TTC but too many times in the past I've not drunk because I thought I might be pregnant and I never had then regretted just not letting my hair down and blow off steam! If it's a one off for a special event I don't see any harm

I agree shall every one do a little recap of where we are for the thread. I'll start first...

Slady
29 years old
TTC no1 for approx 15 months
Currently 4th round of Clomid 100mg - if no response will be moving to 150mg on round 5.
50mg no response
Unmonitored

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 11/10/2017 14:48

soapychoc sorry to hear that, the preggo announcements are just awful, I had to unfollow 2 people on FB lately who are expecting. Funnily once the baby is born I don’t feel so bad?

Anyways, I’m confusion, 34 years old, ttc #2 (have 3 year old DS conceived after ovarian drilling).
First round of 50mg Clomid no response (no big follie on scan anyway)
Doing the waiting game now to start cycle number 2.

Hope everyone’s having a good day Smilexx

physicskate · 11/10/2017 19:31

Thought you guys might know... sorry for butting in!!

I’ve recently started clomid after a pco/pcos diagnosis. I’m starting ovarian monitoring cd 12, on Monday. Am I allowed to Dtd before that?? I’m too embarrassed to ring and ask!!

SLady · 11/10/2017 21:28

physicskate i'd say go for it! You don't want to miss it if you ovulate early. I'm advised to dtd from CD9 onwards. Good luck!

SoapyChoc · 12/10/2017 18:05

Good idea SLady

SoapyChoc
TTC #1 for 2 years 1 month
On Metformin and losing weight to start my Clomid.

Confusion I know exactly what you mean once they are born it doesn't seem to bother me as much.

physics advice does seem to differ depending on where you are. I've been told once I start my Clomid as will be monitored until they find the right dose not to dtd until the scan so they can also check the lining hasn't been too thinned. Seems there is no right or wrong really.

ElizabethCatherine · 12/10/2017 21:02

Ladies!! I am sorry for no updates I have NOT been well since EC. I have been in hospital with OHSS... I knew after EC that something was not right. The procedure I don’t remember 1 thing I was heavily sedated thank god but when I came around I knew I was in pain. Most girls just had a sandwich and some tea and got up and walked out fine. I was the last one in I needed a paracetamol drip after and a strong pain killer before I was scooted our the door. The procedure should take 15 mins to 30 max and I was in there for 1 hour. I went home and was super sore but I woke up the next day in agony popping pain killers and nothing was helping. Was so close to calling ambulance I didn’t know how much pain was normal or not (obv this was not normal) but decided to leave a voicemail with ivf on call at 5pm Tuesday but she didn’t get back to me until 10:30 and I managed to finally pass out so went in the next morning. I had a scan and fluid is all in my abdomen loads of it and started leaking into
My lungs so I’ve been in hospital since 2nd night tonight and another scan tomorrow but maybe a 3rd. This has been the hardest thing I have ever put my body through. I am on a forum with like 20 other ladies and other accounts and no one has experienced this so I feel alone in this front

HollyWollyDooDah · 12/10/2017 21:09

Oh I elizabethcatherine!
I'm so sorry you're going through this!
Hope everything gets better soon
Have they put you on furosemide?

ElizabethCatherine · 12/10/2017 21:12

I am so shocked given the fact I had 50 follicles only 11 eggs were retrieved.. I thought I’d get a call saying the next morning that like 9 would have fertilised but they called me to say only 2. That was thought to hear. They said all eggs were mature and great quality and sperm was ok to so they have no idea why they didn’t all fertilise so they said icsi next time (ha if I will put myself through this again...) so because of OHSS I am no longer allowed to have the transfer because that gets worse if you get pregnant and I am SO uncomfortable. Usually it’s best to freeZe embryos when they make it to day 5 at the blastocyst stage because it is more advance and moe likely to survive the thawing process. Because I only had 2 they didn’t want to risk waiting till day 5 incase we lost both if there was more then 2 then they would have risked it. So they have been frozen today. I just pray that I heal sooner the later apparently it’s 7-10 days for the fluid to drain and 3 weeks of discomfort. I need 2 cycles before I can go for frozen transfer if I hear correctly. I just pray that my little embies will survive the thawing process when it comes time
To it.

Oh gosh Elizabethcatherine poor you! I was worried something had happened as you hadn't posted. What an awful time you've had through all of this. The main thing is to concentrate on getting yourself better and getting out of hospital and im going to keep everything crossed that your two embies are ok! Sending you all the love Flowers

SoapyChoc · 12/10/2017 22:11

Oh ElizabethCatherine you've really been through the wringer. Take care of yourself. Hope you start feeling better soon. Flowers

AmyL88 · 13/10/2017 10:03

Jesus @ElizabethCatherine you have had a shit time! Sending you lots of love and a full recovery Flowers Lets hope the embies survive the thawing process, stay positive and get lots of rest!!

I'm 29

Had a MMC Feb of this year at 12 weeks, and was referred to the consultant who then confirmed PCOS and put me on Clomid. Currently on 3rd round upped to 100mg. Had a good reaction last cycle as they confirmed ovulation but BFN.

HollyWollyDooDah · 13/10/2017 23:18
