@clared55 welcome! I am on metformin but have not been on it long enough to have noticed cycle lengths although it brought on a bleed after 1 year without one since coming off BC

@SLady I started a few months back laser removal for upper lip but then found out you can not continue it through pregnancy and also look into it after you are done having kids because pregnancy and all the hormonal changes will bring on more hair etc so best to do later on - I wish I knew that before I bought a wack of them. Also some places give deals for PCOS ladies because it’s never a permanent solution for us with all the hormones although has helped my upper lip a great amount after 5 sessions xx

@ElizabethCatherine Oh sorry you are having a shit time! That is awful them not opening on weekends...how will they decide which day to take them if that is the case? Don't let your work colleagues make you feel bad, Its easy for me to say but you don't need that negative s**t in your life with what you are going through!

@SLady Oh I watched that last night on Superfoods...Very interesting!

clared55 · 03/10/2017 19:37

Thanks for the welcome everyone and sorry to hear everything you're going through @ElizabethCatherine. I have all my fingers crossed for you!

SLady · 03/10/2017 20:04

Oh so sorry you are feeling so poorly Elizabethcatherine Sad I really hope they are able to do the egg collection on Friday. If you have 50 eggs why can't they do the collection now, or do they have to wait until they are matured? I know exactly what you mean, that's one of the main reasons I don't want to do IVF is because I'd have to tell work and Id hate telling work my business and not controlling who knows and who doesnt. Try not to take any notice of what people say, I know easier said than done! Sending you big hugs Flowers

Yes that was it AmyL88 I actually bought some today haha! I'm going to sprinkle it on my breakfast Grin

ElizabethCatherine · 03/10/2017 20:27

The follicles have to reach a certain size so that the eggs inside will be mature enough to be fertilised. They will never know how many eggs are in there until they do collection so although I have 50 follicles not every follicle will be mature enough to have an egg. So they measure the follicles at each scan and watch them grow and when I certain amount hit a certain stage you take a trigger injunction and then go for collection 24 hours later x

Oh I see Elizabethcatherine that all makes sense. Hope your symptoms subside soon Flowers fingers crossed for egg collection before the weekend!

AmyL88 · 04/10/2017 18:50

Evening Ladies,

@EliizabethCatherine That's interesting to know regarding the folli size. I suppose that's the downsize of us ladies having PCOS we have so many bloody follicles without actually maturing how they should!

I'm on CD27 today, 11DPO and so far have resisted the urge to test. Had a few cramps on and off last few days but not reading to much into it. Tried desperately to get my blood test results today but no one called me back :-( Need to call again in the morning!

Just to end on a nice note, As I drove up to pay for my Coffee this morning (Yes I use a drive through Costa....Don't judge!) The staff member informed me the car in front had actually paid for my Coffee 'To make someone's Day'...How sweet is that!! Deffo put a smile on my face and i'm going to pay the favour forward!!

HollyWollyDooDah · 05/10/2017 09:08

What supplements do people take?
Juice plus have recently bought out an omega supplement. They are pushing that it helps with fertility, am going to ask for actual proof of this but it got me thinking about what I can take to help. I'm still waiting for my referral - been completely botched so I'm guessing that I may as well look into this while I'm waiting
I'm on slimming world and have lost just over a stone so my diet is covered
Thanks :)

When are you due af Amy? I'm due Tuesday, think I had spotting around implantation time and feel off, boobs are itchy and have cramps fingers crossed

How are you elizabethcatherine?

AmyL88 · 05/10/2017 11:17

@HollyWollyDooDah AF is due at the weekend for me. I have no symptoms so don't feeling hopeful. Still havent managed to get my blood test results either :-(

SLady · 05/10/2017 11:51

Fingers crossed for you both Holly and Amy.

Amy are you CD28 today? No AF so far is a good symptom to have! Shame about your blood results! That's so lovely about the coffee too, such a nice idea!!

AmyL88 · 05/10/2017 15:52

Just got my results and were 62..woohoo! She said I wont need to be monitored going forward just take the same dose.

Yes CD 28 but only 10 DPO as I had my positive on CD17....Should i test or not?

HollyWollyDooDah · 05/10/2017 19:36

I'm going to test on Tuesday or Wednesday
Got a busy weekend and working Monday so won't be tempted lol x

SLady · 05/10/2017 23:04

Woo hoo Amy great news!! Was that a CD21 test? If so I'd definitely test now

AmyL88 · 06/10/2017 11:33

Well it was a CD 25 test as i ovulated around CD17....Took a test this morning and it was BFN.....Can't be too disheartened atleast i know i ovulated!!! 12DPO today , If I was pregnant it would show by now wouldn't it?

SLady · 06/10/2017 12:10

Sorry it was a BFN Amy, it probably would show up on a test by now on a FRER but maybe wait to see if AF turns up in the next couple of days and if not then test again. Any symptoms of AF? Like you say at least you've ovulated so you're on the right track Smile
I've been told to go for a CD21 test but last month like you I think I ovulated late around CD19 judging by when AF showed up. Is it worth me going in on CD21 if it's not going to be accurate?

ElizabethCatherine · 06/10/2017 21:40

Sorry to hear this round didn’t work for you @AmyL88 but yes at least you know you have ovulated which is great!

@HollyWollyDooDah I am doing ok thanks! Finally turned around with the way I’m feeling which is great because I need to be well rested and relaxed because Monday is egg collection!! Sooo nervous! I have 4 injections to take tomorrow and then that’s it! 12 days of shoving 2-4 needles in my everyday has not been fun. I am really hoping that this round works for me because I can not see myself going through this again anytime soon.

Morning Ladies,
Oh i need to rant, AF showed up this morning bang on 14DPO! Really had my hopes up for this month especially having such a high progesterone level. Just feel really shitty about it all, I keep a positive attitude for everyone around me but i'm really just holding it all in Confused

@SLady I would go a few days later, the nurse sent me on CD25 as I told her i had a positive OPK on CD17. I think the results would be useless if not taken on the right day. You need to give your body enough time to build up the progesterone. What CD are you on?

@ElizabethCatherine Glad to hear you are feeling better and good luck for tomorrow!!! All the needles and stress will be worth it for a gorgeous baby, I so hope this works for you!! Flowers

SLady · 08/10/2017 12:28

I know it's frustrating Amy, we're all here for you to rant to whenever you need it. Try and focus on the positives - a huge progesterone score and a perfect cycle. That's a big achievement for us pcos ladies. Now the Clomid is working you've just got to keep positive and happy, and try not get stressed. We have to just think that hardly anyone gets pregnant on the first, second month of trying. Just takes time, for everyone. We'll get there in the end Smile
It's only human nature to feel down when AF arrives but tomorrow you can dust yourself off and start your next round. Hugs

I'm CD11 so early doors. I'll give the clinic a call later in the week and discuss it. Makes sense to go a bit later

Hope you've had a nice relaxing weekend Elizabethcatherine got everything crossed that this works for you. Good luck for your egg collection tomorrow Flowers

AmyL88 · 08/10/2017 19:13

Thanks @SLady I had a good rant to my friend earlier and feel better now. Fresh month so I can only be hopeful! Going to up the BD'ing but not make it too planned! I was thinking way too much into this last cycle and i think we just need to take it back to basics and have fun!

Also AF has been relatively light today would you still count this as CD1 or tomorrow as CD1? Thinking when to start the clomid...?!

HollyWollyDooDah · 08/10/2017 22:27

Oh no amy I'm sorry!
Well I exploded at oh on Saturday and his mum heard and now she thinks there's something wrong.
It was over something really stupid as well!

I had a pinky tinged discharge this morning so I'm probably out too :(

SLady · 08/10/2017 22:36

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better now Amy, new cycle and fresh start! I say that all the time but I can't help it. I need to be more relaxed and just go with the flow but every month it's military operation EOD without fail.
See how it is tomorrow Amy and then decide...i think it's best to start it too late than too early though

SLady · 08/10/2017 23:17

I've been a bit grumpy this weekend too holly blaming it on the hormones Wink

Just had loads of EWCM which has caught me off guard...only CD11 never had it this early before!

AmyL88 · 09/10/2017 08:08

@SLady AF is much heavier today so i think I will class today as CD1 and take my clomid tomorrow..! Didn't realise its not good to take it too early.
Also I have EWCM building up to Ov on and off so take that as a good sign. Also last month my boobs were so sore around OV day! Are you using OPKS?

@HollyWollyDooDah Go easy on yourself, hormones are a bitch (and make me act like one haha) If you are anything like me this whole TTC shit is draining. Even though every day I plaster on a smile and make out I am going with the flow (Literally) Deep down its stressing me out! I have been going for reflexology now for a couple of months and its such a good stress reliever ! x

Don't rule yourself out until AF is here!

SLady · 09/10/2017 09:02

Sounds like a plan amy. Yes well that's what the nurse said to me. On some of the forums I've read some people start on CD3 anyway. Yes definitely a good sign, just wasn't expecting it this early. So does the EWCM come before ovulation or during? I might get some opks today.

They're offering the flu jab at work this week and id booked in weeks ago not thinking. Now I don't know whether it's a good idea, I don't want it to interfere with anything

AmyL88 · 09/10/2017 09:14

@SLady well I had EWCM leading up to ovulation but you may ovulate early? As long as you are DTD when you see the EWCM you are covered!!

Hmm I am always sceptical about the flu jab I must admit i wouldn't have one if it was offered to me but that's just my views. I can't seeing it interfering with TTC but then would you want to risk it?
