Yes I got that on the 50mg AmyL88 although not on the 100mg weirdly.

I did get the start of EWCM around CD12 which peaked at CD16 and then completely went after that, which is a good sign I guess. Other than that nothing to report so it's hard to say! Constantly bloated but no change there!

AmyL88 · 19/09/2017 20:31

Oh that sounds positive @SLady !! When will you be testing?

SLady · 19/09/2017 21:09

Eeek I haven't decided yet AmyL88. Not sure whether to test Saturday which will be CD28 and get it out of the way or wait a bit longer?! No bloods this month so I'm in the dark. What would you do? Least if I test at the weekend I can have my down days curled up on the sofa watching Netflix, if it's a BFN rather than being at work

Sunny1984 · 19/09/2017 22:44

Thank you at ElizabethCatherine I think the down regging puts you into a menopausal state before you start to stim but I have no idea why they do it! When will you start the injections?

SLady that all sound so positive, keeping everything crossed for you. I was 100% sure I hadn't ovulated as I've literally had no signs at all but my progesterone was 48!! So surprised I questioned the nurse 3 times they were definitely my bloods!! Now I don't know whether to test or sit tight!

AmyL do you get one scan every cycle?

SLady · 20/09/2017 07:51

Wow that's great news Sunny!! Just goes to show you that you don't need any symptoms or EWCM or positive opks for it to have worked. I'll try and remember that! Not very helpful though jeez, if its not hard enough already for us ladies we dont even get a heads up!
So you're in with a shot then eeek. FX! As you know you've ovulated if AF doesn't arrive when it's due then i'd test. But that's just me...i battle with not wanting to see a BFN but also not wanting to wait too long incase I get my hopes up.

One of us is going to be up the duff by this weekend, I can feel it Grin

SLady · 20/09/2017 08:10

Have you got any symptoms now Sunny??

Sunny1984 · 20/09/2017 08:56

I know you'd think our bodies would help us out a bit by giving some inclining wouldn't you!!
Hoping we DTD enough to stand a chance whenever I did ovulate!! But with our shifts I know we went 3 days at one point early in the cycle! Well I wasn't going to test until day 35 if no AF as I have no idea really when I'm due! Last month my cycle was only 24 days!!
I have a Consultant appt on Friday. My friend is coming, DH is working, she's a Dr and said if it was her I was going to see she'd want to know I'd tested before making a plan at the appt! I'm now torn as I'll only be day 28!

Ooh can you imagine if we both were Grin
Will you test Saturday? Have you got a stash of tests?!

Sunny1984 · 20/09/2017 08:56

Don't think I have any symptoms! Do you?

AmyL88 · 20/09/2017 10:04

@Sunny @SLady oh FX for both of you. I would be POAS frantically from now!! Are you symptom spotting?

@SLday how come you have no bloods this cycle?

Yes i get a few scans every cycle and blood tests. Having one tomorrow at CD14 to see if i have a mature follicle, then they scan me a few days after to see if i have 'physically ovulated' then i have the 21 day bloods to see if i have 'chemically ovulated' All very confusing!!!

Bloods were 22 last cycle on 50mg so hoping this cycle they will be over 30 as that's the magic number i believe.

SLady · 20/09/2017 10:12

Oh do you, is that just a catch up appointment sunny? I think your friend is right, it'll be much better to know as then you can discuss steps going forward. Best to get the most out of your appointment I think. If you had your blood test on CD21 and you were a 48 then I think a CD28 test would be quite accurate.

I hope we both are too Grin that would be amazing! Nope don't think I have any symptoms either. I have actually run out of tests so I'd need to buy some more so it's easier to resist testing. Really haven't decided whether I should test on Saturday yet. I think I probably will and get it out of the way. Then I usually do another on CD35 before the norethisterone

AmyL88 · 20/09/2017 10:15

Forgot to ask, those of you that had the hot flushes with Clomid, did you have them when you took the tablets or around ovulation time?

SLady · 20/09/2017 10:20

Haha AmyL some people test every day from early on and others, like me, can't even bring themselves to do one on CD28. Maybe if I just did one now it would help actually, feels like a big build up to wait until CD28...least of I'd done a test before it'll take the edge off the disappointment maybe??
Because my hospital are tight Angry I do two cycles of each dose and I only get a blood test on the second go of that dose. So basically if it doesnt work I'll need to take 100mg again (which will be a waste of time) and then they'll do the blood test and move me to 150mg.
Exciting about your scan tomorrow FX for a nice big follie!!! Grin

SLady · 20/09/2017 10:21

Mine was when I was taking the tablets Amy and a few days after and then it sort of tailed off as the month went on

AmyL88 · 20/09/2017 11:09

I test constantly and then stare at the blank white test for 30 mins to be sure haha I admire your will power!

Ah thats annoying, I must say i have been impressed with my hospital they seem to give scans out without any hassle. So you're on 100mg now? I'd be tempted to up the dose myself if you aren't lucky on this round.

Hmmm i did have a few when i was taking them but now i feel like i'm burning up again...hoping it means i am building up for actual ovulation. I was so gutted last cycle when the nurse said she can see a nice big follicle and then my blood tests showed otherwise Confused

SLady · 20/09/2017 12:08

Haha I know that feeling! I just get so down afterwards that I put it off. At least before I've tested there's always hope, which makes me feel better!

Yes you're really lucky you get the whole shebang. Although I'm not sure id have been able to get away with so many appointments with work but I would at least like a blood test each cycle! I can't up the dose as they only give me enough tablets each time. I get two cycles worth. Buggers have thought of everything! So technically I could've taken 150mg this cycle but then i'd have only been left with enough tablets for 50mg for cycle 4.

I bet :( you'll just have to wait for the blood test to really know. I take my Clomid around 6pm so I sleep through most symptoms I think

SLady · 20/09/2017 12:11

When do you test from and till AmyL?

AmyL88 · 20/09/2017 13:16

Ahh what a shame, like you say they have thought of everything!! They gave me 6 months worth in advance!! Fitting in the scans are a pain but they offer them until 05.30pm so i always try and get a late one. Well I have been known to test from 9DPO....Angry Then get upset when AF arrives, thinking i should have not bothered testing!

Can i ask a personal question....Are you DTD everyday or every other day? Last cycle we did everyday from CD12 but then i didn't ovulate anyway so the hosp advised me to DTD every other day as the sperm builds up quality or something....all very confusing!

SLady · 20/09/2017 14:16

Oh that's so good you have 6 months worth...id definitely be tempted to up the dose. I guess if you need to up it to 100mg or 150mg they just top you up with tablets at the end? I think I'd rather find out via AF arriving than POAS and getting a BFN but given that Clomids never worked for me id be waiting a long time for AF!!!
We DTD every other day. My consultant recommended every other day too for those reasons I think. I don't think DH could manage every day haha

ElizabethCatherine · 20/09/2017 22:09

@Sunny1984 sometime this week! Just currently waiting for AF to show then I get a scan and start the following morning so I'm hoping Friday is the day things get moving!! Finished the nore Sunday evening. They said 3-5 days before it starts so tomorrow is day 4 and I'm crossing my fingers I will come on but having no signs or cramps yet. How long after taking nore did you ladies get AF?

OP posts:
SLady · 21/09/2017 08:53

I get mine on day 5 Elizabethcatherine and it comes without warning each time! Although now I've done it a few times I know it'll be day 5. How are you feeling, nervous? Excited?

ElizabethCatherine · 21/09/2017 10:40

Ok day 5 will be tomorrow good to know cuz I have zero symptoms! Usually I feel a bit crampy but nothing yet! Having acupuncture this evening so hopefully that will get things moving along too! A mixed of emotions excited, nervous, anxious. Those thoughts never go away with this whole TTC business hey! I find myself not letting myself get too excited because I need to hold back my emotions in case it doesn't work, I guess we are all used to that now. I know I shouldn't think that way but it's so hard to be 100% positive during this whole process because nothing is ever certain I feel like. How are you finding things? I saw you were tempted to up your dose yourself.. I just say I lost my medication or left it while I was away and get a refill when it comes to other things so I get more haha

Hi all

I love this thread soo much! Just been diagnosed with pcos last month and learning loads from you all! Grin

Please can I ask for some advice! I had five months of no periods and they returned three months ago.

Since they returned they are either super light (3 days long) or super heavy and full of large clots (and last 2.5 weeks). While on the pill and post pill I had normal regular periods!

Is this normal for pcos? And is there anything I can ask my dr for to control this? Waiting for a gynaecologist appointment from the hospital.

SLady · 21/09/2017 19:47

Fingers crossed AF comes tomorrow Elizabethcatherine. Each time I've had no symptoms before it's just turned up, usually I get spotting for a day or so before but not on the nore! Yes it's so tricky I think it's usual to feel all the different emotions...especially with all the hormones. I am RIDICULOUSLY bloated tonight I'm hoping it means that AF is coming at the weekend! Haha oh I wish I had the balls to do that!! I'd love to have some in reserve as well for next time Wink

Hi littleonek this thread certainly is a god send for info and support!! That's good they've come back! I don't really have any experience of that, I was just lucky to get a period at all!! And when I finally did they were always the same each time

Littleonek · 21/09/2017 20:37

Thanks! Ive started taking b12, excersing, eatting better and all resulted in my periods coming back.

My ultrasound showed 15-20 cysts on each overy, which i think means its not bad but mild.

SLady · 21/09/2017 21:19

Wow thats a great result littleone I think your periods coming back is a really good sign! I've been trying really hard with my diet but doesn't seem to have made a difference. I think I need to increase my exercise!!
