When's your 30th SLady? Maybe you could book something last minute once you know if you would be in the ok range to travel? Mines next year.

SLady · 14/09/2017 22:54

Next year too SoapyChoc, in January. I'm really hoping I'm going to be pregnant by then... I'd have done 5 rounds of clomid by that time!

IceCreamIceCream · 15/09/2017 10:24

Hi can I join?

I've been ttc now for two years although have one DD conceived whilst talking Metformin. Have just had the results back from a 21 day test and my progesterone was 5,2 :(. GP Is now insisting on ANOTHER as she didn't think I was actually doing it at day 21!!! This will be my third month of waiting again as the first month they didn't take it in the right bottle.
I just want to shake someone and say one month delay again is a bloody long time!!!!!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do going forward? I seem to have to prompt the GP for everything.

AmyL88 · 15/09/2017 12:01

@SLady how are you getting on? What CD are you...I have been MIA and lost track!

I am CD8 today....all such a bloody waiting game!

littleemma1 · 15/09/2017 21:11

HI All, how is everyone? I am now CD47 since starting Metformin and no sign of AF, several tests later and still BFN, trying to focus on the wedding to keep my mind off what my body is/isnt doing! xx

ElizabethCatherine · 15/09/2017 21:13

Hey @Sunny1984 sorry for the late reply! Yup still taking norethisterone or how ever you spell it. My metformin was upped from 500mg 1 x a dah to x2 a day. Finish taking nore on Sunday evening so that's a whole two weeks of it. I have been feeling quite bloated and digestion isn't great right now but I have been eating a lot more these days and gaining weight I'm an emotional eater so I think I am just getting a little anxious with this whole process it is daunting. I just hope I've made the right decision to jump right into it and don't regret not trying other ways first. Girl brain all over the place. Next week my period will come day 3-5 and then I go in for a scan on day 2 to check if all is in the clear to start the injections

Welcome @IceCreamIceCream maybe mention a referral to the fertility clinic depending on how long you have been trying for it's usually after 1 year they will take you on. Might be a good idea to ask about clomid and explore your options depending on where you are at with everything x

icecream keep pushing your gp, some need bigger nudges than others. Worrying they are making you do another cd21 test on the basis your progesterone is too low, that's the whole point!! It's very likely it'll be low otherwise you'd be ovulating and having perfect periods! Hmm

Hi amyL I am CD22 today so in the 2ww. I definitely had signs of ovulation this month but no pregnancy signs yet, whatsoever, so not feeling that confident. Good luck for this round! What dose are you on again?

Sunny1984 · 17/09/2017 19:29

Thank you ElizabethCatherine what injections do you have to have? Do you downreg the cycle or go straight to stimulation drugs? On the NHS do you pay for meds?

SLady, I'm so sure i didn't ovulate I won't test I can't beat another BFN! I had some bloods done late last night when I got home from holiday so unless they surprise me I'll try and stick with no test!!
On your 50mg dose what day do you start nore again?

HollyWollyDooDah · 17/09/2017 20:20

Hi all,
Just wondering, what does it feel like when you have a cyst?
I've got a pain in my right side, pulling down most of the time, bit sharp. Hurts when I breathe in

I've always put this down to endorse, but whenever I've been "checked out" with this they say everything is normal?
Even when I was admitted for a few days on morphine

Thanks

HollyWollyDooDah · 17/09/2017 20:21

*endo not endorse

littleemma1 · 17/09/2017 20:23

Elizabeth and sunny, how long do you have to leave your cycle before starting nortiserone? I might ask to see the gyno early as they didn't want to see me until January 😔 If there's no AF by the time I get back off holiday (6th October) then I'll ask them what to do as clearly the metformin won't have worked as that'll be CD68 😩 Xx

littleemma1 · 17/09/2017 20:27

Hi holly. I can't speak for all others on here but most of us don't have "cysts" we have polycystic ovaries which is different.
I do get a build of pain the longer my cycle goes on, but the gyno has but that down to a build of hormones as my body tries to ovulate. Mine usually starts dull in my left side and then builds and builds, I usually end off work and find it difficult to move without it making the pain worse. Xx

IceCreamIceCream · 17/09/2017 21:15

Thanks for the replies. I am gutted about the new month wait but can't get an appointment for a while so might just wait till I've had day 21.
Just got AF today on day 34 which is the longest cycle I've ever had. Started metformin this month but also had my first ever acupuncture. Has anyone had any experience of either of these causing a longer cycle? My normal is 28-30.

HollyWollyDooDah · 17/09/2017 21:28

I'm on day 10 of my cycle
It's quite painful at the moment
I don't ovulate according to bloods, (three months in a row)

Do I assume it's endo pain, cyst pain or possible ovulation?
Is it too early for ovulation?

HollyWollyDooDah · 17/09/2017 21:30

Also my last cycle was 43 days with a bleed lasting 8 days at the end

SLady · 17/09/2017 21:37

I didn't test either when I had my bloods done sunny. I just did one before I started norethisterone which was on CD36 and it didn't feel as depressing as it usually does as I knew I hadnt ovulated. So horrible seeing a BFN. I'm going to see how Im feeling at the end of the week. When do you get your blood results back?

Superhero2 · 17/09/2017 21:56

Fml cycle day 90 :-/ this has to be one of my longest cycles ever or at least feels like. Want to go back to the GP but she told me to wait.... It's killing me. Is reasonable to request a referral to gyne?

Ladies who are having blood to see if you ovulate, is this generally once you've established a more regular cycle with the help of drugs? I've had one lot of blood which showed low progesterone but I don't feel this means much as they tested cycle day 21 and as I'm currently on day 90 who knows when I will come AF. Finding it all so confusing. As if life isn't busy and stressful enough all this just makes me want to scream! Sorry to offload. X

ElizabethCatherine · 17/09/2017 21:58

@Sunny1984 I don't really know what down reg means but I had my period and they counted 14 days from day 1 of it and I started the nore and continued that for 2 weeks. I will be taking Gonal f, menopur, orgalutran, ovitrelle, and then you get some other pills you need to insert rectally and in the vagina prior and after egg collection. I can let you all know how the injections make me feel etc if anyone would like to know how that goes incase they consider ivf. I actually paid for a pre paid medical certificate I got a 3 month one and it was just under £30 and for 3 months I can get unlimited prescriptions! So so amazing. Since I've needed metformin, allergy tablets, skin creams and then the biggest bag of injections and stuff I can only imagine how much it all would have cost if I didn't have that certificate so I really recommend getting one of those girls! Even for clomid cycles since you purchase tablets regularly

Superhero2 · 17/09/2017 21:58

@Icecream your situation sounds nearly identical to mine. They have also requested another test day 21 when and if I have my AF as my progesterone was low. I didn't really understand why?

ElizabethCatherine · 17/09/2017 22:02

@HollyWollyDooDah I have many cysts as well. It can be pain from a cyst bursting :( Just take care and rest and let your doc know your pains when you see them x

HollyWollyDooDah · 17/09/2017 22:08

Thanks elizabethcatherine typically I've got a full on day at work tomorrow.
May take my hot water bottle with me

AmyL88 · 18/09/2017 16:25

@HollyWollyDooDah I had one 'large cyst' as having PCOS. It didn't cause me any discomfort however they were monitoring it and then it just disappeared on its own. I think it was after AF arrived as that particular cycle was 90 days plus!

@SLady CD11 for me today and no symptoms what so ever yet! I cant remember how early i had EWCM last cycle so I am just going with the flow. I do have a scan booked in for Thurs to see if i have responded to the 100mg.

I find myself having good days and bad days. I am in the middle of planning my best friends baby shower and so find myself daydreaming of being pregnant again Blush

Hope everyone is ok xx

SLady · 18/09/2017 21:17

Oh yes of course, I remember now AmyL88 I think the 100mg will be just what your body needs to tip it over to ovulation. CD11 is still early doors try not to worry yet.

Hopefully the 100mg works for us all Grin FX!!!

AmyL88 · 19/09/2017 13:39

Yes I hope so. I am having hot flashes everyday and i am assuming this is from the tablets...!

How are you feeling? Did you have Ov signs this cycle? x
