It's for after ovulation but as I don't even know if I ovulated I just walked a bit on for luck!

I didn't find out my blood results until I had an appointment but they did give me a number. Mine was 27 I think and they like it to be over 30 to confirm ovulation.

Ktmp · 13/04/2017 11:50

Otters I just read up on it after reading some success stories. It's supposed to increase your progesterone so that the fertilised egg can implant and stay put. It's a natural remedy so probably why doctors don't mention it!

otters2017 · 13/04/2017 12:11

ktmp do let us know how you get on with it

KP86 · 13/04/2017 12:17

I didn't know with my first, so don't worry about that! I had a bit of a feeling last month but that could well have been symptom spotting and putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5!

I'm feeling ok about not falling this month (if it doesn't happen) especially given potential Christmas due date. They was never on my wish list.

Dr appt is 27th (or so) of April. I don't have any next steps except more Clomid as we aren't eligible for NHS IVF and it's not something I want to do anyway. But GP did say she would refer me for an U/S after my last period given the possible MC/chemical, so I'll also check about the progress of that.

Need to get better at taking my vitamins every day. The only thing is I have to have with food or they make me nauseous. They aren't anything fancy but do not sit well on an empty stomach.

Ktmp · 13/04/2017 12:42

What do you take kp?

I've been taking 100mg of b6 everyday for about 3 months and folic acid for about 8 months.

KP86 · 13/04/2017 13:16

Boots brand multi vitamins, usually 2/day and a folate tablet 1000mg. I've read that straight folate instead of folic acid is more easily absorbed or something.

Folate (L-Methylfolate - a Natural form of Folic Acid) 1000mcg x 90 caps https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01706V0UU/ref=cmswwrcppapi_WV27yb6K1SF61

SummerHopin · 13/04/2017 14:05

Thanks for the link re. folates KP. My neighbour is a nutrionist and she said to me a while back that she'd just been on a course looking at synthetic folic acid and links to autism in children!

To be fair I do take folic acid still, but try to get my folates from foods as well so only take them every other day. Think I might give these a go as they look a bit more natural.

Ktmp · 13/04/2017 15:10

Sounds interesting KP! Will look into changing over.

Day 27 here and just saw the faintest pink spot after I went to the loo. Trying not to burst into tears! Sad

KP86 · 13/04/2017 15:13

Could be implantation. Hold onto hope.

Ktmp · 13/04/2017 15:28

Hope can be so awful though can't it KP? Who knew it would be this hard!

KP86 · 13/04/2017 15:56

Oh, definitely.

The number of times over the past year I've hoped and thought and symptom-spotted and checked due dates and made plans - it really is enough to send you around the bend. And I think that's partly why I have 'given up' worrying (as much as possible).

otters2017 · 13/04/2017 17:36

How's the spotting ktmp ? I know what you mean about hoping and then the crushing disappointment. Symptom spotting is the worse. Pretty sure I've had every symptom going.

I heard back from my consultant about the scan results. He said the endometrial lining is quite thin (side effect of clomid but no one told me that!) so I don't know whether to worry or not ! Also he thinks only 2 viable follicles as the others are quite small. I just heard the guy scanning saying 3 on the right, 2 on the left so thought there were 5 follicles! I don't know what to think anymore. Will still give it a good go this cycle and hope for the best.

Ktmp · 13/04/2017 17:52

Two viable still sounds hopeful otters! It must take some of the uncertainty away being scanned?

Been to the loo twice since first noticing (yes I am at the staring at tissue stage!) First one was the same - very slight pinky tinge. Second one was also number 2 (sorry if tmi!!) and I expected it to get worse but it was still just pink tinged on the tissue although slightly more. Hate all of this bit!

otters2017 · 13/04/2017 18:03

ktmp could it be implantation bleed? Or just AF teasing you. I know it's easier said than done but you'll have to be patient and wait and see what happens.

I know I'm lucky to even get a scan and I am grateful. It's certainly reassuring to an extent but now I can't help worrying about the thin lining. Really really hope this cycle works !

Ktmp · 13/04/2017 18:11

That's best case scenario otters. Unfortunately I've been at this stage before and have analysed far too many tissues! I've also read far too many internet pages about implantation bleeding and can find a page that identifies my situation perfectly and ends up with a bfp. It's a skill I wish I hadn't acquired!

Is there anything you can take to help with lining? Think I read about b6 being good for it?

Footy1 · 13/04/2017 18:33

Progesterone cream sounds good. I've never tired it, but willing to try anything now!!

Ktmp hope af stays away and it's just implantation.

Otters - did u have a natural af last cycle? I haven't had af for over 6 weeks so hoping my lining is a bit thicker?

Kp- I forget lots of vitamins - and yes I have to also plan my diet around my pills.

Summer progesterone tears are only accurate if you no for sure the day u ovulate. Once I had a day21 test which came back as 10 but I was sure I only ovulated a day or so before! So begged for a later one the next cycle which was 35 so quite a big difference.
Progesterone increases every day after ovulation.

Still no ovulation for me Envy cd19Star. Last clomid pill was about 12 days ago so I don't think it's worked. Stupid pills!! How many days do u all ovulate after last clomid pill?

I had my first progesterone test when my cycles were between 10 and 14 days long and was told to just come at day 21 of the first cycle, the score was 2 (but it was actually about day 8 of a new cycle). On my second test (when I had my first month of 50mg) I had a really strong opk at day 18 so was worried it wouldn't be high enough. The nurse said I could have it done up to day 25 do I went back on day 24 (as it was a Friday) and my result was 27. Still wish I could do more tests as I'm not convinced they're accurate.

The cream I bought is this one if anyone is interested.

Ktmp · 13/04/2017 20:03

Spotting now a bit darker, still only when I wipe. Getting a nice bath and early night and hoping that all of this uncertainty will be a distant memory at some point Sad

otters2017 · 14/04/2017 00:21

ktmp hope you get an answer soon one way or the other. I'm not sure if there are supplements I can take - will look into it. Am already taking folic acid, vitamin b complex, calcium, vit d

footy I've been having regular AF since I've stopped the pill. However for some reason I'm just not ovulating.

Ktmp · 14/04/2017 06:45

Bit more on a liner through the night but still watery pink after the loo. Hopefully more definitive answers today. May do an internet cheapie just to give some indication either way.

Footy1 · 14/04/2017 07:26

Fingers crossed for u ktmp

Had a slight rise in temp today but don't no if I'm just hot stuff this morning Wink lol
Didn't have any cramps yesterday? So will see if temp stays high tomorrow morning .

OP posts:
Ktmp · 14/04/2017 07:58

Pretty sure I'm out! Temp drop this morning and more of a flow now. Back to the start again.

otters2017 · 14/04/2017 11:51

ktmp sorry to hear. I know how devastating it feels. Each cycle gets harder emotionally. I cried so much when I got my last period. Fx for a fresh successful cycle!

otters2017 · 14/04/2017 11:54

footy have you ovulated in clomid previously ? I'm only on cycle 2. First one no ovulation so waiting to see what happens this time. I'm on CD11 and ovulation test was negative this morning.

I did more reading around clomid and thin endometrial lining. It's a well known effect, part of how it works which is why it's not recommended to have more than 6 cycles at a time. There are some supplements I can take to help but feel like I'm already rattling with vitamins! Looks like another trip to holland & Barrett!

Happy Easter weekend everyone Smile

Ktmp · 14/04/2017 13:21

Thanks otters. I've put my positive pants on and come up with the following thoughts:

  1. It was a 27 day cycle which feels much more "normal".
  2. This AF feels pretty "normal".
  3. Another month would actually help my planned maternity dates.
  4. I can actually see if my clearblue fertility monitor picks up a peak (as I've read it takes a cycle to get to know you).
  5. It could be worse - the 65 day cycle was a nightmare physically and emotionally.

Where is everyone up to in their cycles? Kp any sign of movement yet?
