Thanks guys. My mum is getting there. The main thing she is at home now recovering. It didn't really help that DH has been away for the weekend on a stag so I ended crying down the phone to him. Also didn't help that my hormones have been all over the place!

Fingers crossed this is your cycle @Peanuts88. I am really hoping once I've started clomid that my cycles will start to get a bit more regular. I hate having to wait from day 26 to see when AF is going to come...

Hortonlovesahoo · 05/09/2017 08:10

Hi all,

I'm the same with the babybombing. I'm surprised how much it's hurt as I'm happy for them but very disappointed.

We're now moving to 100mcg of Clomid as my last egg just wasn't growing so we'll see.

Does anyone have any advice for when hubby needs a break/gets very stressed about the fertile period? We're DTD every other day and he's really struggling to actually do it as he's getting stressed. I've tried keeping it fun, spontaneous, not awkward but he said that it makes no difference.

brighteye3986 · 05/09/2017 10:30

So AF finally arrived last night meaning today is classed as CD2 which means I can start my 50mg of clomid today! I'm not going to take it until tonight though as many have said that the effects are less noticeable when your asleep 😊

Sorry I don't have any advice @Hortonlovesahoo. We had problems a few months ago but I stopped tracking everything which lifted a lot of weight off of both our shoulders. Now we are clomid we will probably be tracking a little bit more again. It's difficult when we are put into this situation as my DH wants to make sure it's happening at the right time but by thinking about it too much can cause problems. Maybe go out for dinner or cinema (date night) and make an evening of it at least once through your fertile window to relieve some of the pressure.

Hortonlovesahoo · 05/09/2017 11:13

Thanks @brighteye3986. I think we'll try that.

Wishing you lots of luck for the start of clomid. I've had absolutely no side effects (touch wood).

Ktmp · 05/09/2017 17:11

Never thought I'd write this @brighteye but yay for AF!!

Pretty sure this month was a miscarriage. Went to the loo at work today and a large clot came out with like a vein attached. 😔

DH is still recovering from an op so no BDing at the moment anyway. Just back to the wait for IVF I suppose.

@horton we've also gone through the same stage but it didn't last long. Think once DH realised that there's pressure on both of us he relaxed a bit more. Agree with brighteye, definitely date nights help.

brighteye3986 · 06/09/2017 13:24

Thanks @Ktmp. I know it seems strange but it's also the last time I will ever want AF to arrive!

I'm sorry to hear about your possible miscarriage. I hope you are ok and not going through this on your own. Thinking of you.

At least with not being able to BD you can both recover and maybe taking a small amount of time out will be good for you. Just make sure you have 'us' time together too.

Hortonlovesahoo · 06/09/2017 13:47

@Ktmp - sorry to hear about the possible miscarriage. I've had that a few times and my doctor said it could have been just a result of the Clomid and my uterus lining being thicker?

Ktmp · 06/09/2017 19:40

Thanks ladies!

Not had any Clomid since April @Horton so don't think it's that. Plus it was the weirdest thing I'd ever seen. Wish I'd had my phone with me as I really wanted to show it to the doctor to convince myself I'm not mad. The discharge has definitely eased up today so whatever it was I think my body was slowly trying to shift it.

brighteye3986 · 07/09/2017 20:03

Day 3 of taking my first round of clomid. Did anyone else get lower back pains when taking clomid? I've had one since yesterday and then today had severe cramps for about 10 minutes but have been fine since. I'm not too worried with the side effects as hopefully one I will get a BFP and then the side effects will be a lot worse!

Hortonlovesahoo · 07/09/2017 20:25

Ktmp - definitely weird!

@brighteye3986: I've never had anything like that. To be fair, my mind plays silly buggers with me most of my cycle so I get cramps when I "think" I've been ovulating but I really haven't.

It was my final day of Provera two days ago, so I'm now just waiting for that elusive period. I'm hoping that if I could get a 'clean sweep' it'll help stimulate an egg with 100mcg.

brighteye3986 · 09/09/2017 13:21

Hi ladies, I was wondering if someone could help me....

I've just got my letter from my consultant which says my progesterone level is low at 2.7 on my day 21 blood test. I may be being a bit silly here but what is it supposed to be? I should have asked at my appointment but it didn't even come to me... I thought they were going to advise problems with my tubes in all fairness.

Thanks

Blondienut · 09/09/2017 19:45

I think over 30 indicates ovulation. My level pre clomid was 14 and on first round of clomid was 76!!!!

Are you on a monitored cycle? It would be worth getting blood test done again on the clomid to see if any improvement

brighteye3986 · 09/09/2017 20:06

Thanks @Blondienut. I'm not due for a blood test until after my second cycle on clomid- due to have 6 cycles in total. I have had my final tablet for my first round this evening. At least I know what I should be expecting when I have my bloods done next cycle.

brighteye3986 · 02/10/2017 08:25

How’s everyone’s month been? I am currently on cd29 and waiting for my body to tell me what is happening! I’m not 100% sure I ov’d this cycle so although I got side effects from clomid, I’m not sure 50mg is enough but only time will tell. Been a bit crampy the last couple of days and really sore heavy boobs but I have also had that before on months when af has arrived so trying not to symptom check! Going to wait until Wednesday to test if af doesn’t arrive before then.

Hortonlovesahoo · 02/10/2017 11:22

Hi @brighteye3986 - I'm waiting for my period and hoping that it comes sooner rather than later as otherwise we're going to miss another fertile period :( I've had the worst PMS this month, it's been unbelievable! :(

brighteye3986 · 02/10/2017 18:37

Aww sorry to hear you haven’t had a good month @Hortonlovesahoo. Fingers crossed your period either doesn’t come at all or comes very soon. I’m thinking mine is on its way as seem to be getting a bit more crampy throughout the day. Only thing that I have noticed this cycle is a lot more discharge later in my cycle. Sorry if a TMI but the last few days it has sometimes felt like I’ve wet myself but I know I haven’t. I think my body is just trying to trick me though 😔

Hortonlovesahoo · 02/10/2017 18:43

I've found the same (re: discharge). It does help me track my cycle though. It'll definitely come as we missed this month's fertile period (I had a cracker of an egg too! 21mm at day 12!)

brighteye3986 · 05/10/2017 09:00

Oh no! @Hortonlovesahoo . Such a shame 😔. AF has arrived this morning for me so onto cycle 2 of clomid I go! I have to have a day 21 blood done this cycle to see if it’s working or not but I don’t think it is so looks like I will be on 100mg next cycle.

Hortonlovesahoo · 05/10/2017 11:53

Hey Brighteye. I hope it works for you! Still nothing here and I'm certain that it's coming but just don't know when

brighteye3986 · 05/10/2017 12:08

I know that feeling! I’m glad it has come though as I go on holiday Saturday and was dreading that I would come on whilst away and it would ruin my holiday! A little bit selfish I know but we booked this holiday to take us away from all the stress we have been going through.

Hortonlovesahoo · 05/10/2017 12:24

I hope that you have a great holiday! I agree, sometimes you just need to take some off from the stress :-)

brighteye3986 · 30/10/2017 14:31

Oh my... just got my blood results to see if 50mg has made me ovulate and it has!! Totally was not the answer I was expecting! So off I go for another 4 courses of clomid (as long as I’m not pregnant this cycle- currently cd 26) Smile

Hortonlovesahoo · 01/11/2017 19:40

@brighteye3986: Wonderful news!!! :) I hope that it works (if this month doesnt work). I'm on Day 26 too but I'm not hopeful for this month. It was our first month trying 'artificial home' insemination as the stress of the activity was getting to my DH. Let's see how it works...

brighteye3986 · 02/11/2017 09:23

I have my fingers crossed for you @Hortonlovesahoo. I’m pretty sure I’m out this month- tested this morning and got a BFN (cd29) and am cramping so pretty sure AF is on its way.

I am going to start temping and have brought some cheap OV tests to try and pinpoint OV but we will just try to carry on BDing every other too. I don’t want to get too hung up on testing as I don’t want it to ruin it but also want to make sure we are doing it when we need to. It’s so difficult.

Justoneme · 02/11/2017 10:01

Have been on Clomid for 2 months 100mg. I was pleased to find out on Sunday I was actually olvating ... first positive test!

Now waiting for the 11th November to do a test.

Good luck ladies x
