Clomid - hoping for bfp's

Hi, thought I'd start a new thread...

My stats-

Age 39
Ttc #3
Irregular cycles
Clomid 100mg & Metformin 1000mg
Been trying for 12 months (6 on clomid)
Cd10

Bad hot flashes in the night, headaches in the morning.. no twinges yet this cycle.

@gands I'm NHS. Really just hoping this is happening for a reason.

Still undecided about testing tomorrow with the FRER. In the past year I've been over 31 days five times. Two of those were completely random months with unusual AFs. My average cycle is between 24 and 29 days according to the tracking I've done.

Honest advice ladies - would you test?

Yeah ktmp I agree with peanuts! NHS is brilliant for emergencies etc but things like this is not their priority does my head in too. On the whole testing thing, personally I would test.

That's the only way to look at it really isn't it peanuts lol I've had a couple today!

Well ladies, another shit day in the whole crappy adventure of ttc. BFN and just to add insult, AF arrived approximately 20 secs after I put the test on the side. So definitely stepping away from opks, temping, and every other stupid thing I've been doing in the pathetic hope that it will help. Pointless.

Got my day 21 bloods back - progesterone 76 (over 30 shows ovulation) so I am happy with that. My day 21 bloods without clomid were 14.7 so thankful my body seems to be responding to it. Currently feeling very pre menstrual and crampy so feel like AF will arrive any moment. Trying to get into mindset of not being too disappointed and be positive that clomid is helping things !

That's brill blondie! I thought mine was good at 32!! Haha usually mines like 5! I know that feeling, I'm on day 3 at the mo so back on the meds and back into the frame of mind that something may happen this month 🤞 it's funny as I will know if I'm pregnant or not just before my birthday next month, what a present that would be hey.

Sorry been offline for a while. It's been really difficult and I'm still coming to terms with what's happened. I'm now waiting to see if I can get an urgent appointment with my consultant so we can discuss next steps. I'm going to ask for a baseline scan this time as I want to be sure that everything is clear before starting again. I'm hoping I can have the clomid and injection again as it worked last time.

ktmp sorry AF got you and that you're appointment got cancelled again!! Has it been rescheduled now?

Otters hope you get appointment with consultant and so sorry again- so disappointing. The pain of all this fertility stuff is too much at times.

Although I had promised myself not to get too sad if af comes i of course have. Also I turned into a lunatic with poor dh and accused him of all alsorts and to top it off I've driven the car into a pole in the car park 😡. I am taking to bed and pulling covers over head

I'm new to all this so I'm thinking I should start from the beginning same story as every girl I suppose since I infancy all I wanted to be was a mother, I would shuv anything up my top to pretend I was pregnant and every relationship I ever got in I was like is this going to be it. I met my current bf when I was 19 and we fell pregnant when I was 21, unfortunately that ended in ectopic ( the worst pain emotionally and physically) which resulted in me losing a tube, this is also where I found out I have PCOS (great) double the trouble not only do I have 1 falling tube but PCOS making things hard. My gynae doctor put me on 500mg metformin TDS and I take prenatal vitamins, I have just started my period and tomorrow I'm planning to take my first round of 50mg clomid. Please pray for me girls, I literally think, dream and long for nothing more than to have a baby of my own. I pray for you all too.

Not much to update from me. Spoke to the fertility secretary a few times now. They couldn't do the referral straight away because it wasn't in my notes, the secretary has sent emails to other consultants to see if they would just do it but no one is replying. She's still chasing them.

On a brighter note, I finish work for 6 weeks tomorrow and I've 6 days left till my holiday which I'm determined to enjoy with no bloody pee sticks 😂

Hi girls thanks for asking otters I'm doing okay. It's been an emotional week, I'm in the last week of my cycle and had a baby bomb at work. I'm doing okay though. Hope you're okay

AF is due tomorrow and I've been symptom spotting a bit which makes me sad as I know it'll come crashing down when I see blood tomorrow. I keep saying to myself "I accept the outcome, either way"

ktmp yay for 6 weeks off - my husband also finished today for 6 weeks and I am SUPER jealous!
Nothing to report here- not meant to test until Monday but a bit worried as have a busy weekend full of friends who will be expecting me to have no symptoms so pretty sure I'm out this month anyways... but I suppose you never know!

@Ktmp - I finished today for six weeks too and also on holiday next week . Eagerly awaiting either a bfp or my first Clomid round. Expecting af over the weekend and DH is going to stop me testing until Monday. It's so hard though I'm desperate to poas!
Fingers crossed @Blondienut - great progesterone levels. My last test I got a 15!

He's learnt to deal with it to be fair, he just knows that's how it's going to be for a while.

Hi everyone, is it ok to join in?

I've been following this thread for a few weeks. I'm on my first round of clomid, cycle day 12 today. Had my follicle scans today and have 1 mature follicle at 21. I think this is good but I'm not sure! The nurse said to BD for the next 10 days! She didn't really say much else! Just if I don't have AF by day 40 and still have a bfn to call because they'll increase me to 100mg!

Clomid is such an emotional journey and I hate that we're all going through it!! But baby dust to everyone and fingers crossed for you all xx

I know that feeling. I'm on CD30 on first cycle of clomid , normal cycle is never this long but I've done two tests and both negative. Seems the clomid can be cruel in making your cycle longer so you think your late and preggers but sadly not. I'm interested to hear that if it was bfn they'd increase you to 100mg- my clinic said to continue on 50mg as I ovulated on that amount - I'm so tempted to increase the dose myself 😬
