Clomid - hoping for bfp's

Hi, thought I'd start a new thread...

My stats-

Age 39
Ttc #3
Irregular cycles
Clomid 100mg & Metformin 1000mg
Been trying for 12 months (6 on clomid)
Cd10

Bad hot flashes in the night, headaches in the morning.. no twinges yet this cycle.

Boatrace glad they got you started on the clomid straight away 👍👍 fingers crossed for you.

Horton not had mine checked but like boatrace I have had low iron in the past so I've been taking supplements for a while now as well as vitamin D. I find if I don't take them for a few days I really do feel it, drained and tired.

I take iron daily , it wasn't low but acupuncturist advised me to take it. Also take a multi vitamins, folic acid high strength, vit D high strength, onega fish oil, coenzyme Q10 - all reccomeded by consultant and acupuncturist - my skin and nails are great now so I figure if showing benefits on outside bound to be having some effect inside! Coenzyme Q10 is supposed to be very good for egg quality- I take it in ubiquinol form.

I'm due back tomorrow for another tracking scan.....praying my follicles have grown. Got a positive opk today - does anyone know if you can get a positive without ovulating ?

Sadly my BFP turned out to be a chemical/ early miscarriage. Started bleeding and cramps and tests were faintly positive then negative. Words can't describe how I feel right now hope the rest of you are getting on ok. Will catch up again soon x

Oh otters!!! Can't even guess how you must be feeling, I'm devastated for you. Have been checking in regularly hoping to catch up. Speaking as someone who's never even got close to even the faintest line, please try and take some hope that there must be things that are working even just for that moment. Hopefully we'll all look back on this time and be thankful at how hard we worked for our time x

Hope everyone is doing well? I had a blood test Monday to see what my levels of progesterone was and it was 31 which was great. Didn't expect that at all. So fingers crossed 🤞

Hello everyone, just checking in so I can write down my neurotic symptom spotting!

Cd26 no peak as yet on cbfm (definitely not bloody buying anymore sticks! 😡) Feel very strange with very heavy (.)(.) which is weird as I don't usually feel that much as they've been (ahem) enhanced 😜. Some strange twinges and pulling feelings as well but trying not to overthink.

Won't be testing until cd35 as that's how far I got last month and it conveniently falls on the day of my next appointment.

How is everyone? Blondie have you had your follicle tracking?

Can I ask you ladies a question? How bad have your mood related side effects been on Clomid? Ive been reading some horror stories. I think I'll be taking my first dose on our long awaited holiday and so just want to be prepared. I don't really want to ruin our time away (but equally I'm taking it asap!!)

Ktmp - the wait is so hard!

My follicle tracking went well. I went back last Friday and the nurse was pleased they had grown and was pretty sure I'd ovulate over the weekend. I'm back today for another one- I think they check if the follicle has collapsed. Having acupuncture too today which I find really relaxing.

The moods Boatrace, oh the moods. I actually found them Worse a few days after I'd taken my last tablet, hot flushes and vivid dreams too.

I'm trying not to get any hopes up of it working so I'm not disappointed but at the same time trying to be positive- it's a very fine line!!!!

Oh no! I've now ovulated so worked out that I would be taking it 3 days before holiday and two days during so hoped I'd miss the worst of the mood swings, sounds like not though!!

My moods the first cycle were absolutely awful. I was hysterical at times, completely unreasonable and felt very very low. I said to my husband I don't want to be here anymore more than once. It really worried me. Second cycle and I'm definitely emotionally unstable still but nowhere near as bad as the first. I think just be aware it can happen - if your mood is low remember it's probably the clomid and try to ignore negative thoughts. Force yourself to think of positives. I've downloaded an app called Grateful which prompts you to write down something each day you're grateful for or makes you smile. Really recommend it!

Oh god, it sounds awful!! I'm now almost wondering if I should delay my first month so as not to ruin our holiday but I really don't want to.

I have just spoken to a friend who took it though, she said she had. No mood issues at all, but it didn't work for her and she ended up with IVF. So maybe bad mood swings are a good sign!

It doesn't happen to everyone for sure. It's personal choice and I think you'd cope as you're on holiday too so less stress 😎

Stats-
Age - 28
Ttc #1 (for just about 2 years now- not even a hint of a BFP!)
Diagnoses- God only knows but did have polyps in my womb so had to have a procedure in Jan to remove those; now on my first cycle with 50mg Clomid.

Well my appointment has been cancelled AGAIN!!!! Had to refrain from screaming down the phone!

Please keep your fingers crossed that this is all because I don't need the referral 😔

Welcome peanuts, how are you finding the clomid?

To the guys talking about moods, mine are terrible a couple of days after taking my last tablet and just before AF (which I think I'm experiencing now 😒) one min I wanna cuddle with the hubby the next I wanna hit him 😂

Has anyone had any bad pains at all? Mine have been really bad this month, I would say they are like shooting pains in my sides?

This cycle I did gands! Really significant pain so bad it made me wince a bit. I always get some niggles but not usually that bad

Mine were terrible this month but I guess what we have to put up with.

I took an early test today as we out at the races today and wedding tomorrow, it came back negative which I'm so gutted about as I thought it was the month this month. But I guess I can have a tipple today. 😒😒

I had really weird pains this month too! Luckily no other symptoms- I read loads of posts to take Clomid at night- which I'm guessing must help!

So I had another phone call from the hospital saying that the fertility nurse could have just put the referral through but unfortunately the consultant hadn't put anything in my notes about it 😡 She's know trying to chase another consultant to look at my notes and just refer otherwise I'll have to wait for another appointment whenever they finally have a doctor to do them!

CD30 now and decided to jinx myself properly and buy a FRER for tomorrow morning. Suppose I need to find out if it's another disappointment either way 🤞

Hi all, AF showed up today 😒 I kinda knew it was happening as I tested Friday morning and it was negative.

Oooh no worries at all ktmp! Really annoying about all your trouble with the fertility appointments. I've found it pretty annoying as well- I love the NHS but sometimes they kill me inside!
gands really sorry AF turned up- at least you can have a guilt-free glass of ?
AF for me is due next Saturday- after so many BFNs over the last few years I'm not getting my hopes up and definitely won't test early!
