Trying not to get my hopes up but I've had some weird twinges and the most awful back pain which is not like anything I've really experienced.

Footy1 · 03/05/2017 14:23

Ktmp- was a cycle of 37 days!! But AF was induced do I could have been in for a long stretch otherwise! Very bad headaches last few days not sure if that's the AF pills or just hormones.
Wow that's expensive. If it gives u what u need to know I guess it's a good investment.
Fingers crossed for you x

Kp - I can't rely on the opk sticks as they all say positive for me.

Hoping I ovulate this cycle!!

CD21 test booked for next week, even though I reckon it will be around OV, not OV+7. But dr said it can be repeated if we don't get the right result first time (but what a waste of time!).

Will ask about Metformin when I have my follow up appt.

On hols this week and when we get back DH and I will be back to dieting to lose weight again. I was doing really well and fell off the wagon badly after the MC/chemical and have regained about a stone. :(

Ktmp · 06/05/2017 11:46

Know what you mean KP. I've put some weight on and it's the stage where I'm really noticing it and just want to wear the baggiest clothes possible.

How is everyone getting on? Day 23 here and still high on clearblue. Husband has been on a stag do for the last couple of days so spending time trying to relax and not stress about what next week may bring. Easier said than done though.

Footy1 · 07/05/2017 08:27

Kp its easily done. I use to run miles and miles and as soon as I cut back that's its.. the weight comes on. Hope you went somewhere nice for holiday. Enjoy it! Smile

Kt hope u enjoyed the time without hubby. I quite like it when mine goes away - few days to myself with the tv remote and relaxed easy dinners!! I find my house is so much more tidy.Hmm

Hope you are doing ok otters, summer and anyone else reading this thread.

Cd6Starhere.. no dtd so far.. might start eod today. Going to try the pomegranate juice also.. u never know.

Ktmp · 07/05/2017 09:21

What does pomegranate juice do Footy? Just about to do the weekly shop so may pick some up.

House is super tidy and even did some decorating yesterday with my friend (shame it'll be back to messy tonight 😂).

Footy1 · 07/05/2017 13:11

It's suppose to thicken the uterine lining, and Increase blood flow. Suppose to be good for the man too and his swimmers. Think it was summer that was drinking it the month of her bfp! I'm trying anything!

OP posts:
SummerHopin · 07/05/2017 13:22

Hi everyone. I'm still about sorry I've not posted much this week. Yes it was me with the pomegranate juice it is good for you lining as clomid can make it thinner. Could be crap but I did it anyway!!
Not much to report here. 6 weeks tomorrow so still very early days. Told my parents lastnight it was a lovely moment. Not telling anyone else though so I'm finding it hard lying to close friends and other family as I'm rubbish at it!!
My only real symptom is cold! I get really cold when I am tired and since I'm more tired than normal I'm just always bloody cold! Been sleeping in jumpers and just been out in the sun basically in full winter get up-I look a bit silly but just cannot keep any heat! Think my body is too busy concentrating on growing our tootle nugget so can't complain-I just need to migrate for a few months I think!!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone Flowers

KP86 · 08/05/2017 00:22

34 weeks to go, summer. Did you tell us your EDD?

I've got my CD21 bloods on Tues, even though I'm pretty sure I'm gearing up to OV (based on EWCM) in the next few days. Will have to try for GP appt on Thursday for results and then another blood referral for this time next week to get accurate results.

Goodness, how I want to get pregnant soon so this can all be over!

SummerHopin · 08/05/2017 09:48

Hi KP, I havent had an appointment or scan to give accurate DD yet but its going to be first week of January.
Funny really, right at the very start of ttc DH and I said we would try not to get PG with a baby due christmas / new year - like we thought it would be so easy we would have the choice of what and when! How bl00dy naive we were! After all the drama, the PCOS and the doubts I'd be happy with a Christmas day baby!

Maybe you can try to get another test in about 7-10 days KP?

Footy1 · 08/05/2017 15:22

Cd7 Star bit concerned that I've not even had a twinge yet? I use to get twinges few days into clomid.

Summer it always happens that way. SOds law! Hoping it will work for me as I just got a puppy. I know people who got a dog as baby wasn't happening and bingo.. she fell straight away after that.

Kp I feel your pain. Just want it so bad...

OP posts:
KP86 · 08/05/2017 15:54

GP did say she'd be happy to repeat my bloods if I OV later and they do it at the surgery so that's not an issue, thankfully.

Then once the PCOS is reconfirmed for this round of TTC I'll be referred to hospital fertility clinic. TBH, in the meantime I may well go back to Oxford Pharmacy and get more Clomid anyway. Hopefully doc will give me metformin which could help.

Ktmp · 08/05/2017 18:08

Hello everyone!

Bought some pomegranate juice Footy, willing to try anything now! Another pregnancy announcement today (husband's friends - barely been together a year 😒) Seriously don't think I know many more women that are left to announce! Proper case of 'When will it be my turn?' going on.

Found out this week that brother in law and girlfriend have put their wedding back a year to have another go at IVF. Getting quite scared that we still have a very long journey ahead.

Day 25 here and the clearblue monitor has finally shifted to low (19 tests later). Can't help thinking it's a big con though. 🤔

Keep us updated Summer, must be a lovely feeling.

SummerHopin · 08/05/2017 20:07

Well done on the juice KT sorry for the baby bomb though.
I'm booked in for an early scan may 23rd. I'll be 8 weeks then.

Sorry I have no info on opks as I decided not to use them. I know they can cause people to DTD at the wrong time and personally they made me really stressed. Hmm

Footy1 · 09/05/2017 20:43

Cd8 StarYay.. EWCM today.. let's hope a big juicy egg is in the making..
I'm enjoying the pomegranate juice, but also enjoying a glass of prosecco right now Blush

Well proper crap day here. Could do with a bfp to cheer myself up. Just had a mad day at work then forgot that is agreed to go to a meeting with a friend so ended up stuck in traffic (going home a different way) then ended up in a car accident which is going to end up my fault as it involved a bike cutting through traffic at speed as I changed lanes. Need some positive news soon 😓

Footy1 · 10/05/2017 10:02

Oh no kt that def sounds like a bad day. Are you going to test next week?

OP posts:
Ktmp · 10/05/2017 10:23

Was trying to hold out till Friday (cd29) as I'm going to see my friend over the weekend so would like to know either way.

The way my luck is going I'm far from hopeful.

How is everyone else doing?

SummerHopin · 10/05/2017 14:09

You never know KT this might be the turning point that makes all the other crap worth it :)

Last year I had probably the worst year of my life. We had just got married (not that that was bad, but you get a post-wedding-lull), my DH was made redundant and had a brief bout of depression because of it, I injured my legs really badly and so had to give up running and exercise, I then got fat and incredibly down as well, I was off work for a few months so got really behind..... oh and I found out I had PCOS and that we might find it incredibly hard to conceive! Needless to say it was tough, and our marriage found itself in a shit storm rather than the 'honeymoon period', but now that we are coming out the other end I am looking back on it all just thinking christ - if we can get through that then we can get through anything!

This year has been different. The timing of my NHS referral on the day of my first period in weeks, the weight loss with Metformin, being given clomid so easily, finding the late follicle when we thought it had failed and then getting a BFP first time - makes me think that bad luck comes and goes, and if its really bad then it means at some point it is going to get better - thats the rules!

I would wait until Friday KT. I waited until the date I knew that I would get a solid response so I wouldnt be torturing mywself with the "it might be too early" thoughts.

Hope things get better Flowers

Ktmp · 10/05/2017 16:35

Thank you Summer, really meant a lot that you took time to post and reassure me. Fingers crossed you're right, never wanted something so badly before.

Our year last year was chaos what with getting married and buying a house within a couple of months. Desperate to decorate the smallest bedroom as a nursery (it's a bit obvious as it's the only room that's untouched!)

Day 27 and no sign as yet (hope I've not just cursed myself).

How are you feeling Summer?

otters2017 · 10/05/2017 22:27

Hi all. Sorry for the absence, we've been away in Italy for a holiday. AF got me whilst I was on holiday and I was absolutely devastated. This is cycle 16 and I really hoped that the clomid would have worked. At the same time, DH got a message to say his friend had committed suicide so it was really tough for us. I've pulled myself up and am now on cycle 3 of clomid. Currently CD7 with no symptoms. No idea if I will ovulate this cycle. I'm trying to bring forward our appointment so we can discuss next steps - IVF. I'm obviously hoping that this cycle will work but have to plan for the worst.

kp how did your blood test go?

ktmp sorry about the baby bomb and your accident. Hope you're doing ok Flowers

footy i'm joining you with the pomegranate juice. Bought 2 large bottles today. How are you doing?

SummerHopin · 11/05/2017 09:57

Hooray for pomegranate juice! I hope it brings you all thick linings and good luck :)

I'm doing well thanks KT. Symptoms have really died down to the point where I do panic every now and again and do a test just to make sure I didnt dream it! Big dark positives each time though so thats reassuring. I have an early scan booked for May 23rd when I will be about 8 weeks so just waiting for that to come.

Its still a bit surreal actually. With the lack of symptoms and the fact that obviously I'm not showing yet I do sometimes forget that this is even happening! Then I remember, and then I get excited.....closely followed by pure fear that something might happen.

All in all just your normal hormonal emotional crazy lady really. Just like me when I was a clomid lady!

Glad you had a nice hol otters and sorry AF got you. I think it is advisable to always know your next step as it helps you mentally - thats what I always found. You pray you wont need to get to it, but its nice to know what it is for in case you do.

holzyb20 · 11/05/2017 11:08

Hi can anyone help me, bit of background have pcos I am on my first round of clomid 50mg - I have never had a positive opk ever not even the tiniest line so last week I was testing getting faint lines never got darker so presumed I was not going to ovulate yesterday evening I was getting pains in my side so googled it (I know!) And it said ovulation pain ..... so done a Opk and it was a most as dark as the control line, done one this morning and it's a little fainter than last night's could my surge of been during the night?

I have posted picture top opk was around 8pm last night, bottom one was 10.30am this morning

Clomid - hoping for bfp's
Ktmp · 12/05/2017 05:26

Hi holzby! I used millions of the sticks and in my experience they get much darker than your top one so unless your surge was very short, I would keep testing and try to stick with a firm time each day. Having said that, I got a super dark one on day 18 one month so pushed by cd21 bloods back a few days and it was just under 30 so still don't think I ovulated that month! Good luck!

Ktmp · 12/05/2017 06:25

Not sure if this helps holzby?
