Good luck for tomorrow ari I would have caved in too!
Btw home health sell 4 frer tests (2 double packs) for £11.49 and free delivery so I buy mine from there normally. That's not an offer as they are always that price. Looks like boots is cheaper at the moment though!

suemays · 27/03/2014 07:55

Well ari have you tested???

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 08:13

Hey sue ... yes indeed and ... I got a strong line!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Unbelievable amounts of courage needed to look at that damn test this morning, but there it was! Now I know that's just the first hurdle, have to see decent doubling times now, off for first bloods shortly, but so relieved at least I don't have the dreaded faint line to worry about!

swlondonnanny · 27/03/2014 08:17

Yey! What a great news Ari Grin

BellyD · 27/03/2014 08:20

Brilliant news Ari. Yippeee Smile

brownstag · 27/03/2014 08:41

Oh Ari, I'm so pleased for you! All the stressing was worth it!

brownstag · 27/03/2014 08:42

So how many days is that technically since implantation is likely to have happened?

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 08:47

Thanks ladies :) I'm not quite brown .. they were 5 day blasts, I think implantation usually happens within the next 2-3 days. Apparently this is what happens with a 5-day transfer, if anyone's interested:

0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 08:48

That should have said of course I'm not quite SURE brown ... no idea where my word went!

brownstag · 27/03/2014 08:50

Fascinating and amazing! If that'd been me, I'd have been testing 6dpt then! :)

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 09:51

Ah, but with Serum we have hCG shots on the day of ET, 2 days later and 2 days after that, so that hCG is still in your system for a few days after 5dp5dt. Testing wouldn't tell you if it's an implanted embryo or the shot you're picking up. :)

Mel3062 · 27/03/2014 10:49

Oh golly gosh I'm so happy for you!! Immune response indeed!;) congrats xx

duggs1976 · 27/03/2014 11:18

Fabulous news AriGrinGrinGrin been checking on here since 6am ... Intrallipids now ?

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 11:21

Thanks duggs :) Yep, intralipids already booked for first thing tomorrow morning - I was being super-positive, you see, I'd already booked both lots of blood tests and my intralipids 2 days after my ET. Just in case :)

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 11:55

Oh holy cr@p girls .. I just got my results through. I'm in shock, and now worried about something completely different. bhCG came back at 1,591.0 .... ! 12dp5dt and that high usually indicates more than one. I can't tell OH, he'll freak out!

Breezyweezy · 27/03/2014 12:44

OMG Ari, I have just come on to see how you got on and was crossing my fingers that you were going to have a line! That's fantastic news, I'm so happy for you. You really deserve to have things work out for you. And even more OMG at the beta. I don't know much about them, but that number is high!!

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 13:15

Thanks breezy, I'm in shock! Shock

Pebbles73 · 27/03/2014 13:56

Wrote a reply earlier but didn't go through. Ari I am do pleased for you!! I was scared to look on here and had my fingers physically crossed,
The hcg must have been a bit of a shock, triplets?!!!!

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 14:11

God no pebbles, I truly hope not! I'm now praying I just have a particularly strong singleton ... unlikely, but possible :)

brownstag · 27/03/2014 14:41

Wow, Ari. Did the give any idea of what levels they would expect in different scenarios?

Arianrhod · 27/03/2014 14:55

No, but there's lots of info 'out there' on this subject. Best I guess is betabase - www.betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Single and www.betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Twin . I don't even want to consider the Triplet page!!

Mel3062 · 27/03/2014 15:35

Wow!! Yes duggs I've looked since 5! X
