Have you had your hcg results, Duggs?

duggs1976 · 02/08/2013 20:12

Hi brown yes I had them yesterday so 17dpo HCG had trebled to 601 so relieved. Was stressed waiting for results so I am going to try and relax a bit and try not to have any more tests before the scan at 6 wks if I get that far.Confused
How is everyone else doing?

OP posts:
brownstag · 03/08/2013 08:54

Fantastic, Duggs! It sounds like a very strong little bean you've got in there.

Pebbles73 · 03/08/2013 10:15

That's great news Duggs and yes try and relax as much as poss!! Smile

All good with me, loads of follies already so have put me on the lowest dose of gonal f which is handy cost wise! Started another injection of cetrotide this morning that stops you ovulating naturally, quite a big needle and was a bit of a struggle to get in! Back for scan on Monday, starting to get quite bloated looking so will be loose clothes for next few weeks.

Waves to everyone.

duggs1976 · 03/08/2013 14:55

Great pebbles you can't ask for more than that can you ? Grin Fingers crossed for you as I know how nerve wracking it all is. Wish I was a dumb ass simpleton, and totally unaware of anything - I'd be blissfully happy.

You must have had loads when you had ivf Duggs with pcos? I have over stimulated twice out of three so far and had mild ohss.
Trying hard to relax and not worry about how much it will all cost.
Hope you are taking it easy.

Arianrhod · 05/08/2013 08:12

Great news both of you pebbles and duggs :)

brownstag · 05/08/2013 10:11

Great news Pebbles. I don't envy you the overstimulation but I do wish I had loads of potential follies.
I didn't know you had pcos, Duggs. Has that been an issue in conceiving?

duggs1976 · 05/08/2013 12:16

Oh it turns out I don't! Dr a just threw it in there one day when he saw I had a few more follies than normal and gave me metformin- probably added to my hormonal mess that I later became. But I think I was more that way than not.

duggs1976 · 05/08/2013 12:17

Dr S I mean - no blood tests to confirm or anything.

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 05/08/2013 13:48

My blood test were all normal but when I had first ivf scan at Hammersmith they said my ovaries were slightly large indicat

Pebbles73 · 05/08/2013 13:50

Sorry walking and writing!! To finish, indicating mild pcos. I look forward to stopping metformin after finished ttc as put me off lots of food, supressed my appetite and gives me indigestion! Joy!

brownstag · 05/08/2013 13:51

Bizarre! They investigated me for that when I was younger, because of the acne, greasy skin, etc. but I didn't have it. In fact my androgen levels were low. I don't see how he could say it without doing a blood test. And similarly I know several women who have it who don't have any visible sign of it.

brownstag · 05/08/2013 14:21

I was just reading that women with group O blood have higher levels of FSH compared with other blood groups, and may therefore be less fertile and have poorer egg quality as they age. I am, of course, O!

eurochick · 06/08/2013 17:45

Hello!

I don't know if some of you remember me from the pred thread. I very occasionally pop over to "infertility" but I don't like the label and so mostly post in conception.

I just spotted this thread and noticed a few familiar names and wanted to say congr... to duggs and the others on the thread who have reached BFP and beyond. :)

duggs1976 · 06/08/2013 21:13

Hello euro chick, of course I remember youSmile how r things?
Thanks for the sentiments. Only 5 wks though so 35 to go... Haa.. Haven't even had a scan yet so who knows 6th pregnancy let's see. This isn't a pred one Chinese herbs.

Interesting!

I finally managed to get up the duff after more than 2 years of trying in January, on my first (natural) IVF cycle. I mc'd at 8 weeks.

Our second attempt gave us a chem preg.

I'm just about to start cycle #3.

I loved my few short weeks of pregnancy - just want to get back there. I still have no diagnosis (but there is a suggestion on one of the conception discussions that I should get tested for coeliac disease - my quest for answers continues).

Good luck duggs!

brownstag · 07/08/2013 08:15

Welcome Eurochick and good luck with cycle no 3. Coeliac disease is now very easy to test for - you used to only be able to do it by biopsy; in fact you can do it for about £20 over the internet nowadays for a basic answer. Mr S did a more expensive test for me as my mum has coeliac disease.

Pebbles73 · 07/08/2013 13:45

That's interesting about blood groups Brown.

Hi Euro sorry to read about your miscarriage and chemical but good news you can get pregnant. Third time lucky hey! Wink

Had another scan today and have to start pred (god I hope it doesn't give me acne this time!!) tomorrow and clexane tonight so here come the bruises! I have intralipds on Friday for the first time eve and egg collection is looking like Monday.

Have you tested anymore Duggs.

Thinking of you Ari and hope you are doing ok.
