Well supposed to start next AF which is due on Sunday. However did a test yesterday 10dpo and got a bfp - followed up by 2 more of different types and all clear bfps.
Another this morning looked pretty similar - think I need to stop poas now as v early. 6th pregnancy - haven't been on pred or anything as given all that up ages ago. Taken 10mg yesterday and today and stuck an old cyclogest in for good measure. Can't really hurt I don't suppose as am treating this like I am a mth ahead and the ivf (that i haven't yet done but am aware I may well still need to in future if this fails) worked.
I'm putting this down to acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
But let's see where it all goes first Confused #permanentlyterrified wish I could wake up in 7 mths time

Hi all, I'm going to be lazy and post this on both threads so sorry to repeat myself.

Today we had our first ever good news scan. It's taken until my 8th pregnancy, but we've finally seen a real life bean with a hb!! A real WOW moment. Measuring bang on dates, 6+5, hb 156, good and strong. Mr S turned the sound up too so we heard it, which was amazing, it hadn't occurred to me it could be audible so early.

I'm sure this high won't last for long but I'm going to relax and enjoy it whilst it does! It's still very early days and we've made it to this point before, just didn't see the hb, so I know better than to think we might actually get a baby out of this. It's a Good Day today and to make it this far with no sign of trouble, and having begun to feel rather nauseous this week and with other "proper" symptoms it is a massive boost to see a real live blob in there. Ironic how feeling icky is comforting and helps in keeping a positive mental attitude.

Duggs I've pm'd you but whispered congratulations again and fingers crossed.

Waves to everyone else. Ari I hope you're out there somewhere and sending big hugs to you. Look after yourself.

Pebbles73 · 27/07/2013 18:05

That's fantastic news Choccy, must be so amazing to see a heartbeat. Everything crossed for you.

Arianrhod · 27/07/2013 19:55

Hi ladies .. Just back from Spain today and wanted to say a whispered congrats to duggs an a big shout from the rooftops WOOHOO! to choccy for a fab scan! And big /waves to everyone else.

Things exactly the same as 2 weeks ago for me - stopped all bleeding almost 2 weeks ago and rest of pregnancy tissue definitely still there. :( Have to go to hospital again (again again - and be faced yet again with lots of happily pregnant women) for yet another scan and then the tablets I guess. Equally no further forward with OH who hasn't asked how I am, nothing mentioned about trying another cycle, it's as if nothing has ever happened. Oh, except that he was highly p*d off that he wasn't able to have a bit of how's your father on holiday, as you cannot while still mc-ing (as you all know). His comment was 'that's three holidays in a row that we haven't had sex" - well so sorry that I'm miscarrying this time, both of us taking anti-bs for infection last time and wee lassie sleeping in our bedroom the one before. My fault? I don't think so. And good to hear what he's really interested in, certainly not having a baby!! Sorry, rant off. I just don't see how I'll be able to do another cycle as OH is clearly not interested at all.

Hope you've all had a good couple of weeks in the heat wave, this usually happens when we go away! :)

Buzzybee123 · 27/07/2013 20:52

choccy great news, it is lovely to hear the heartbeat, do you have another scan booked :)

ari sorry to hear that thing haven't moved along for you Sad sorry to hear that OH is not up with game plan, no advice really but big hugs x

BellyD · 28/07/2013 12:07

Well got totally emotional reading Duggs and Choccy's posts. Soooo pray that this is it for you both. Whispered congrats, Duggs and Choccy a positive scan must men the world at the mo, even though it's early days. Yay.

Ari sorry your mc is still dragging on - hope you were able to enjoy your holiday despite this.

Started on the Dhea yesterday, no beard yet!

brownstag · 28/07/2013 13:47

Duggs, your post made the hairs on my arms stand on end. How amazing and fantastic. Oddly enough I kept thinking of you while on holiday but have only just looked at the last week's worth of posts. Praying this is the one for you, and for you, Choccy.
Sorry to hear how things are dragging on, Ari. My first miscarriage was like this and it took ages to start having normal cycles again. Very frustrating for anyone trying to conceive but even more so when you feel every month is valuable.

brownstag · 29/07/2013 12:17

Duggs, do you know what Chinese herbs you were taking or was it a concoction of stuff?

Pebbles73 · 29/07/2013 13:22

So sorry to hear your miscarriage is still ongoing, I hope it gets sorted soon so you can move on from this. Maybe then you could try approaching oh for another go.x

duggs1976 · 29/07/2013 17:21

A concoction from a TCM guy in Harley street - he prescribed them for me. Thoroughly recommend him as he will be able to tell what hormonal deficiencies you may have.
Happy to share if you like. Even if this goes no where it something.

Just checking in from afar sorry to hear that ari, duggs and brown how wonderful. Waving to everyone. Af got me early sat :( instead of mon but needles were ok to take. The beach is amazing ;) xx

Mel3062 · 29/07/2013 23:27

Choccy I mean- sorry brown :(

brownstag · 30/07/2013 07:33

Thanks Duggs, yes I would like to know the details please. I found an article online about a female doctor in Harley Street with an amazing track record, Dr Zhai, but it looked very expensive. £300 for one month's herbs on top of the consultation, etc. And she said improving fertility is a long-term project, so that's a lot of herbs! But I think I would like to try it. How long had you been taking them before your BFP?
Sorry to hear AF got you, Mel. I think I'll be the same in a couple of days. BFN at 11dpo. I suppose it would be a bit much to ask to get a BFP three cycles in a row. Grin

Arianrhod · 30/07/2013 12:01

duggs I'm actually very interested in the TCM you've been doing - I have thought several times I should visit a TCM person but I would rather go on a personal recommendation, plus there aren't any TCM practitioners anywhere near me I think. Did you just see him the once, or did you have to go back several times? If I could visit just one time then I'd be happy to go up to London to see your chap, especially as he seems to have done so well by you :)

mel Sorry to hear about AF, but glad you're enjoying the beach!

Everything ok with everyone else??

Arianrhod · 30/07/2013 12:04

Oh, and how did your chap determine what hormonal deficiencies you have, just out of interest duggs? My acupuncturist, while wonderful, is saying right now that my body is stronger and more healthy than its ever been (not that that helped me any) and seems to think everything is in balance, but I'm thinking maybe not. Would like to find out, anyway.

Pebbles73 · 30/07/2013 18:35

Hope you are having a fab time despite af Mel

Had my baseline scan with Mr G today and blind test and start stimming on gonal f tonight. Back to Mr G for another scan Friday, is about a three hour round trip so a lit of dashing around.

Waves to everyone.

BellyD · 30/07/2013 19:20

Good luck Pebbles keep everything crossed for you x

Mel3062 · 30/07/2013 19:48

Thanks ladies well at least we can start dtd sooner! Good luck pebbles x

duggs1976 · 30/07/2013 20:39

Good news pebbles Grin mel get those margaritas going...ari and brown the zhair clinic was the one recommended to me but I found another guy TCM guy in Harley street. He was £300 for consult and a months of herbs. He asks for your full history, looks at tongue, complexion, 3 levels of pulse, your disposition and asks all sorts of weird questions about poo and wee and libido and anger and sleep and memory..he diagnosed a liver/spleen imbalance probably not helped by the steroids and a kindney yang deficiency. I have to say it seemed to correspond with my acupuncturist. You can go as a couple for not much more if you like. I will PM anyone his details or dig them out and post later. I had HCG test yesterday 14dpo it was 201 so I have to repeat on Friday to see if doubling.
