Hey super ovulators and those struggling with infertility after miscarriage this is where we are! Come on over ...

OP posts:
Mel3062 · 14/06/2013 14:31

I'm waiting to hear from them

Mel3062 · 14/06/2013 18:10

Apparently I have a past infection with both parvo virus and chicken pox so immunity to both. Past infection means not within the last 6 months. CMV and toxoplasmosis both negative. Mr s wants to see me to discuss next steps but not sure that will be helpful just expensive!

buzzybee123 · 14/06/2013 19:58

mel sorry to hear that

Mel3062 · 15/06/2013 07:28

I assume even though I was immune the humira overrided it so still got chicken pox so the mc could still of been due to that or maybe my uterus who knows! Itl be interesting what mr s says, def having the hla test now x

lemonsherbet · 15/06/2013 10:19

mel are you still seeing Mr S let us know what he says. Sorry that the sample failed to grow, it must be heart breaking.

Mel3062 · 15/06/2013 11:31

Mr s made it clear he thinks I should of had erpc with him as 1 out of 10 fail to grow so heaven forbid it happens again ill prob go to him ( ouch)
He's treating it as chromosome issue so now trying hydroxy as well.
I could of had hla but he wouldn't interpret result and as we have Lucie doesn't think it's our prob ( peny said that too) but if I fail again ill go straight to dr gorgy! Wasn't sure dr gorgy would like to interpret test if he'd not done it?
Mr s is adamant you can't get chicken pox yet rmc lady said i had No recent infection with chicken pox according to my bloods so possibly a reactivation of old infection. The baby would be protected by the antibodies you already have in your system. With a new infection it takes about 4 weeks to develop the relevant long term antibodies that can get to the baby.so it's no clearer! X

Mel3062 · 15/06/2013 11:33

My other options were to stay as I am or change to 40 pred or just add hydroxy. Didn't mention the hysteo!

gransol · 15/06/2013 12:10

Do any of you know how soon you can try after last humira injection,
My last one is due day before af would it be ok that month or do you have to wait awhile
Arianrhod hope it all gets sorted soon
Nothing seems straight forward anymore

Mel3062 · 15/06/2013 12:16

I agree gransol! If this is your second injection you'll need a blood test to check levels so think I was told to wait til after that as you may need two more if levels haven't dropped enough. If this is 4th injection like I had then I dtd straight away and fell preg straight away as I couldn't have anymore humira x

gransol · 15/06/2013 12:44

It will be my fourth two weren't enough
Hopefully we can try in July then
Thank you

Sorry to read about ur test I'm on hydroxy and 40 from bfp this time as had one mid on his treatment already

Mel3062 · 15/06/2013 12:52

Aw sorry to hear that. I think i take pred from ovulation as usual he didn't say from bfp. Do I take 1 hydroxy a day from now?
I got mixed up as I asked him if I could have my mmr booster too and not sure what the answer was! I know they take 6 weeks to kick in.

gransol · 15/06/2013 16:44

I take 25 from ovulation then up to 40
Fingers crossed for next time

gransol · 15/06/2013 16:52

Sorry meant up to 40 at bfp
X

gransol · 15/06/2013 17:10

Start hydroxy ASAP as it takes 8 weeks to get into ur system

suemays · 16/06/2013 10:10

Caved in this morning and did a test. I know its probably a false positive as the hcg shot is probably in my system as there was a very faint line. The shot I did was 5000iu on the evening of 5th June. Think I will do another test tomorrow or tues. I would only be 9/10 dpo so think its too early to pick up an early positive. Oh why did I test???!
pebbles I know you said you had a faint line 10-11 days after the shot but what strength was it?
Wish I had waited until Tuesday to test now!!!

buzzybee123 · 16/06/2013 10:41

sue I think the trigger would be out of your system by now, I got a line at 11dpo but some do get it earlier :) fingers crossed

suemays · 16/06/2013 11:13

Buzzy I know some google sites say it would have gone by 5 days but some say wait 12! I guess only time will tell. I have got a faint BFP at 10dpo before so I am hoping that's what this is. I think I will prob test again tomorrow as won't be able to hold out until Tues, at least then if the line has got darker I can get the intrallipids in early.

How are your symptoms now?

Pebbles73 · 16/06/2013 11:14

Sue my line was extremely faint and involved lots of squinting. Probably most normal people would have thrown it away as a negative as took a while to come up. Did yours come up straight away? Fingers crossed for you.....

brownstag · 16/06/2013 11:16

Sue, in my last pregnancy, I got an extremely faint line at 9dpo, so faint that I wasn't at all sure but it just made me pay close attention to the next day's test, and it became unequivocal by 11dpo. So it is possible. And I for one don't ever get false positives because of ovitrelle, even that early.

suemays · 16/06/2013 11:47

It came up within 3 minutes but it is a very faint pink line so you have to hold it up to the light. I just don't want to get my hopes up again! I have got four new tests so will try again tomorrow morning.

ChoccyPud · 16/06/2013 12:56

Ari sorry you're all up in the air. Hateful waiting in limbo until Thursday. X

Lots of nice positive or potentially positive news at the moment. I don't know about false positives after ovitrelle... Sounds like its possible so that's nice and unhelpful for you! Confused

Sorry I've been AWOL. No news or keeping quiet just had a really busy non stop week. Af arrived last Monday so that was 27 days cycle. Don't think I ov'd but lengthwise I'll live with 27 days! Fingers crossed the agnus castus is doing its thing and I'll actually definitely ovulate this month. That'd be a good start. Still - on the upside, it means more sex - got to keep a positive optimistic outlook haven't you?! Grin

buzzybee123 · 16/06/2013 17:51

I have just had some bright red blood Sad

suemays · 16/06/2013 18:46

buzzy try not to panic it might be ok. Are you using cyclogest as that can cause irritation and bleeding? My friend who went through ivf had bleeding with bright red blood up until 16 weeks and her little boy is now one. They couldn't find out where the bleed was coming from. Try to rest and don't lift anything etc. keeping everything crossed that you will be fine.

buzzybee123 · 16/06/2013 18:49

its the lack of sore boobs and sickness that is worrying me, I use the back door with the cyclogest

Arianrhod · 16/06/2013 19:12

Buzzy - get it checked out, call your EPU, but try not to panic - if you read the IVF FF boards apparently bleeding is extremely common in IVF. Also bear in mind you had more than one embryo put back remember, so it's entirely possible it's related to an embryo that didn't make it. Huge hugs, I know how much of a worry it is.
