interesting blog post from a mother of a DS daughter who was blasted by a 5-10 minute diatribe containing all the old stereotypes about people with DS at a Frakie Boyle show. I'm turning off any TV show he's on in future.

LG I know what you are saying about not challenging makes you complicit,(sp??), but in the case of DP I think you can seriously say you have done your duty and LL is right, DON'T FEED THE TROLL!!!

You don't say much worthwhile DP. What you DO say is generally bigoted and racist. There is no "understanding" when it comes to people like you who just talk and talk around the issues without ever seeing the bigger picture.

Luckily the four trolls in this pictures were able to get on despite their diverse hair colours, but DP would never be able to be their friend - as their hair just was not pink enough for her liking...

Daftpunk - if Frankie Boyle's jokes during his show were acceptable, would you laugh if a member of his audience used them against a person with Downs Syndrome, or against Riven's daughter?

If your answer is yes, then I despair of you. If the answer is no, then surely it is right for comedians who use such material to be challenged, so that their 'jokes' do not become other people's deliberate bigotry.

You also need to forget the myth that every gay or homosexual person is out to turn the rest of the human race gay. They want to live their own lives, be happy, have friends, find love - all the normal stuff that we all want - nothing to be so scared about.

How, one wonders, would one snort appropriately?
