Electra don't let it get you down. I know from most times when I don't post on these threads (but read them) that most people following the words we type don't agree with the vile crap.

daftpunk · 22/10/2009 21:24

i'm supporting her because she had the balls to come on this thread and back me up...

to back daftpunk up on a BNP thread is brave.

Wonderstuff · 22/10/2009 21:25

I think often there is a fine line between brave and stupid.

Haunty27 · 22/10/2009 21:26

Electra lets stay here like monkeysmama says and kick the racists off.

One down gone off to welcome her dh home

Next!

By the way DP, I hope you don't mind me asking, are you British? Don't answer if you don't want to, tell me to mind my own or whatever. I won't take offence honest.

electra · 22/10/2009 21:26

Hmmmm, brave.....I wouldn't call it that.

Katiekitty · 22/10/2009 21:26

Genuine question to the women BNP supporters - please tell me WHY? I just can't see it.

An honest question - pleae tell me what you will gain? What if the worst happened, would you change your mind? Would you not?

Awaiting your answer

Also - if you have a man in your life - does he also support them, or do you not talk about it?

Or, are you dual supporters?

I understand this question may get lost in the thread, but I remain genuinely curious.

electra · 22/10/2009 21:29

We have all asked why, Katie but so far have received no response....

except racist rants.

daftpunk · 22/10/2009 21:30

yep..i'm British...(born in London)

parents are Irish immigrants..

DH votes labour......till he dies.

MonstrousMerryHenry · 22/10/2009 21:31

Interesting, dp - so clearly you don't mind that md has been instrumental in causing the level of debate to sink - which you complained about yourself a few pages back?

I'm SO curious to know what NG's real ethnic background is - anyone know if he's had a DNA test? I wish I'd been in the QT audience; I'd have thrown down a challenge to him and the whole BNP membership to have themselves tested and release the results publicly .

dp, I may be confusing you with someone else, but didn't you say a few days ago that you were part Maltese, part British, live in Scotland and yet are anti-immigration? Aren't you basically wishing your own extinction?

Katiekitty · 22/10/2009 21:31

Ah hck, I though I'd cathc the evening shif unawares...

Will have to employ BNP like tactics..

"Women! you know you don't have to ever leave the house again!!"

How does that sound?

Katiekitty · 22/10/2009 21:31

not drunk, honest - at work and on a different keyboard!

Ewe · 22/10/2009 21:32

moondog, are you drunk?

Katie I don't think they know the answer to be honest, you're probably wasting your breath.

MonstrousMerryHenry · 22/10/2009 21:34

Oooh, just noticed that Bonnie Greer was on the QT panel - black, female, intelligent, articulate - fantastic. Also Baroness Warsi - female, British Asian peer. What a fabulous line-up! Can't wait!

mamadiva · 22/10/2009 21:35

Hi again people, well since yesterday I have done a bit more researcha dn am starting to realise why the big fuss, am a ctually a bit that people may have thought I supported them from some of the stuff I was saying!

Moondog - 'Excuse me,I'm off to welcome my dh home from his taxing job feeding and finding emplyment for oppressed women in the developing world. That multicultural enough for ya laydeeeez?'

Might I ask why you felt the need to tell us that? Just because your DH has some compassion does not make you Mother Teresa, so no actually it is not good enough!

Moondog -'You were theo ne who brought your dd and the fact that shge was 'multi cultural' (whatever that means) into it. I want to know how that works, seeing as her father (who you brought up in this thread) isn't around, he being someone who I gather you are too scared to go and see in Iran.'

It's not rocket science, DD is multi culural as in each parent is from a different back ground IE multi (more than one) and cultural (country/race/religion) of parental heritage/origin. Seriously I thought I was the un-educated one here!

daftpunk · 22/10/2009 21:35

think you're confusing me with someone else.....i'm not part Maltese...and i don't live in Scotland..

Katiekitty · 22/10/2009 21:37

They don't have the words do they?

They just don't know

Says it all

mamadiva · 22/10/2009 21:39

Henry that was me

Katiekitty · 22/10/2009 21:39

Right! Dp - as you're about, can you answer me? What do you hope to gain if BNP held a majority?

Simple question?

Simple answers

Lizzylou · 22/10/2009 21:39

I can't wait to watch the programme to be honest.
I think if we're honest the "target audience" of the BNP are more likely to be watching JK tomorrow, and will they bother to vote?
Where I live I see a lot of rascism and I find it shocking tbh, work colleagues and customers at my saturday job (an estate agents) are very openly anti-asian. Old mill towns you see, where people have conveniently forgotten why so many people from India and Pakistan were brought here.

kate1956 · 22/10/2009 21:40

Perhaps daftpunk doesn't know that st george was turkish with a palestinian mother - actually a great example of multi-culturalism don't you know!

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 22/10/2009 21:40

DP. Come over hither n' take a break lady. Honestly. This is going too far now.

MonstrousMerryHenry · 22/10/2009 21:40

Ahh, mamadiva. Right you are.

mamadiva · 22/10/2009 21:41

Okay maybe should explain that one actually I am not actually part maltese but a large part of my family (through adoption) is, but no odds to em they are my family at the end of it all.

My great gran and her family moved here from Ireland in the 40's so I am actually part Irish... I think.

Katiekitty · 22/10/2009 21:42

DP - you've been at this all day, I hope you've had enough sustemance to keep your strength up?

Pray do tell us what you've eaten today?

What was it?

Where was it made?

Who made it?

Don't be shy now

Lizzylou · 22/10/2009 21:42

The whole patron saint thing is a minefield though, tbh. I don't think St Patrick was actually Irish iirc.
But it is true that we should be able to celebrate our heritage without it having a National Front/Fascist tag. Cause we should.
As should anyone else.
