BP;

not many people who vote BNP want NG to run the country...i certainly don't...but i want them there to bring some balance.

and of course the holocaust happened.

mamadiva · 21/10/2009 20:39

Hey Daft

Surely the whle point of voting is because you want said party to gain power? So does'nt it kind of equal a wasted/pointless vote if you vote for a party you don't actually believe in?

Although I am speaking as someone who has never voted

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 20:40

LG....i hope that happens because these things are far easier to talk about face to face...we are sexually and politically worlds apart...but i have so much time for you..

BadgersPaws · 21/10/2009 20:41

You want them where to bring balance?

Personally I'd rather that they didn't exist, they're ignorant and vile. However they are there and I will fight for their right to be heard, I'm a firm believer that they should be on Question Time.

Is that what you mean?

If you don't mind me asking would you vote for them?

How would you feel if they got into some form of power?

How can anyone respect someone who claims that at least 11 million people played the worlds largest and longest ever game of hide and seek?

mamadiva · 21/10/2009 20:42

The world would be a pretty boring place if we were all the same...

BP;

yes...i am seriously thinking of voting for them...don't think there's any turning back for me now..

mamadiva, SCP, LG..

thank you for staying cool with me....very much appreciated...

will disappear now..

MammKernow · 21/10/2009 20:57

Badger: that is one of the quotes that made me realise precisely the mentality of most of their 'politicians'. I could give you bags full more quotes that are just as hateful.

I do sometimes wonder if all the protests against the BNP are self-defeating, in that they are getting free publicity. But then i think about what happened when Hitler and his party were at first ignored

Not at all DP. Mamadiva is right, it'd be a boring place if we all were the same

GrimmaTheNome · 21/10/2009 21:10

SecondComing - that's pretty much my take too.

I'm jolly glad I was born here but it is sheer luck.

moffat · 21/10/2009 21:13

I'd rather be bored than be dealing with fascists.

choufleur · 21/10/2009 21:14

They're a bunch of misogynistic, homophobic racists, but ... i do think he should be allowed on question time.

i also think though that Nick Griffin should have a DNA test to trace his heritage. see if he should be repatriated.

GrimmaTheNome · 21/10/2009 21:18

Given that none of us comes from one particular locality, would that repatriation be in small chunks (evil )

MammKernow · 21/10/2009 21:21

choufleur - agree with everything you said. And i think NG knows that most people are a mix of races and cultures: he's already been asked about taking a dna test (think it was uaf.org who asked)...but sadly, he refused...

chegirl - I think we have argued shoulder to shoulder with MrsTHenri on accasion on some of the racism threads so I guess thats where my patently obviously wrong idea comes from! Which is a bit nuts becasue I too am very white! I hope the major parties can address peoples concerns about immigration and also refute some of the urban myths that perpetuate wihtout sinking to the levels of the BNP.

The discrepancy I hear from people who claim to support BNP policies on immigration but aren't racist one bit no siree, is that they object to anyone darker than beige but have no problem being served by an Aussie bar tender, or having a south african physiotherapist. Obviously some funny accents are OK then.

dollius · 21/10/2009 21:40

I read the BNP white paper on family law, before it was mysteriously deleted from their website.

To get a bit more on it, see here

They want to re-establish the man as the head of the household. This means giving men a "married man's allowance", and therefore taking away a woman's personal tax allowance. This would revert to the 50s when women effectively relied on the charity of men, and that was the best they could hope for.

They want to repeal legal anonymity for rape victims on the basis that men's lives are ruined by these "lying accusers".

They want to introduce the "blame-based divorce" whereby whoever is responsible for the end of a marriage gets the kids. As if anyone can ever truly pinpoint the reason a marriage goes wrong.
Needs of kids are not mentioned at all. Interestingly the example they give is if a woman is unfaithful to her husband then her children will be taken from her even if she is the primary caregiver. Because the man's need for "justice" is more important than the needs of the children.

In this section, the white paper states that the number of domestic violence reports is massively over-exaggerated and that most of them are part of a feminist conspiracy to do men down.

So, DP - are you sure you want to vote for the BNP?

BigGitDad · 21/10/2009 21:41

I think alot of the Aussie left after the rugby world cup in 2003. Did I tell you who won that Kew?

Kewcumber · 21/10/2009 21:43

talk about trading on past glories BGD!

seeker · 21/10/2009 21:45

DP - which of their policies do you want to see implemented?

BigGitDad · 21/10/2009 21:49

Hope you and the little fella are well Kew.

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 21:56

seeker;

i want these

warning....BNP policies!
