There is money to be made in Scotland??? Seriously where?

I've yet to find it...

mamadiva · 21/10/2009 17:09

Anyway away from my strange wee argument/dislikes dislikes and back to the BNP...

Do they really encourage people to burn houses etc?

DISCLAIMER: I am only 22 and have led a very sheltered life me thinks...

mamadiva · 21/10/2009 17:09

Actually I am now 23 D'OH!

SomeGuy · 21/10/2009 17:17

Individual BNP activists, some senior, have been involved with racist attacks, and racist dialogue is quite acceptable in BNP company.

It is not however 'BNP policy'.

Kewcumber · 21/10/2009 17:22

Chegirl "I am poor, white working class" really

Why had I the impression you were black? I will have to rethink my mental picture of you now!

(How can you get an impression of anyones colour from the internet anyway?)

Regards TSCs post below, NG would twist this QT thing no matter what. He is invited on, so he has spun it to make himself look bullied and victimised (martyred even?) and he would have done the exact same if he was banned from appearing. Catch 22 and he knows how to manipulate it.

chegirlknowswhereyoulive · 21/10/2009 17:31

LOL at Kew!

I am white as they come! If I was any paler I would be translucent.

My kids and OH are black. Maybe thats why you thought I was?

allok · 21/10/2009 17:34

Mamadiva - I'm almost twice your age and they BNP were then called the National Front.

If they came leafleting your area it was cause for concern as it would soon be followed by asian shopkeepers been abused, bricks through windows etc.

One time I got something through my letterbox and I scooted after the guy and had a real go in the middle of the street pointing out.

  1. The standard of English in the literature
  2. The fact that he was really ugly
  3. The fact he was probably on benefit and I should call the authorities to let them know he's not available for work as he's canvassing for NF and therefore should not get his benefit paid.

I then cycled off home and shat my pants for the next three days in case he came back with this mates.

These are not nice people. Griffin is full of hate, not policies.

Oh, and did I mention, they are often very unattractive?

However, if he's been invited on QT he should go - we live in a democracy - I'm looking forward to hearing his views and also looking forward to Warsi, who's very down to earth, just eating him very delicately for breakfast.

QT is usually somewhat tame and boring these days - this will definately increase the ratings.

mamadiva · 21/10/2009 17:35

I assumed that too Chegirl

mamadiva · 21/10/2009 17:38

Okay agreed Allok, nasty buggers

On a lighter note though do you think their Fugliness is what makes them so bitter being that foriegn men are normally rather attractive

allok · 21/10/2009 17:52

Ugly people.

If they spent more of their time getting their lives in order they'd spend less trying to destroy others. And they'd possibly become more attractive.

bumpsoon · 21/10/2009 18:55

I wonder if Nick is talking about the immigrants who i work with in the NHS ? the indian ,pakistani, czech and philipno nurses ,the polish and hungarian domestics and auxillary staff and the Drs from all over the world .All of whom are working their arses off and paying taxes . I think he should be on question time ,no need to be hostile towards him ,i think an air of boredom and pity would be far better .

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 19:39

SCP;

i have heard some totally ridulous things said about women by a few BNP members....the worst by Nick Eriksen...(who i think is an ex tory..?)....i don't agree with any of that crap.....but then i don't agree with labours "women only shortlists"...that's patronizing to women.....i want a job because i'm the best person for it, not just because i'm a woman.

LG;

yes, it's a trade off isn't it...you will vote labour because they are supportive of your lifestyle...i guess as long as you're happy you'll carry on voting for them.....but you can't blame people who arn't happy to go elsewhere..

the BNP want to spend money on British people, they want to stop throwing money at "foreign aid"...why help foreigners when our pensioners die of cold in the winter....they will put the people of this country first...and about bloody time.

ItsGrimUpNorth · 21/10/2009 19:49

Yes, well the problem is their definition of "the people of this country." It's just such claptrap.

My mother wasn't born here but she spent years paying a lot of tax etc and now she's a pensioner, does that mean she wouldn't be entitled to any pension or help because she's not one of the people as defined by Mr. N.G? I'd love to know his cultural heritage. Bet we'd find some eastern European peasantry not too far back. (There's a lot of that in my ancestry before you jump down my throat).

What does it matter whether you're an immigrant or not? As long as you work, contribute and are law abiding, what does it matter? If you're working and contributing then you're paying your way. If anybody's idle, then they should not be enabled to be that way.

And fwiw, it's very weird but every foreign builder/plumber/cleaner I've ever employed in the UK has worked a damn sight harder than the British, oh sorry, English, flag waving version.

smallorange · 21/10/2009 19:51

Yup easy answers to complex problems, that's what we need, daftpunk.

The BNP do not want any money to go on black people whether they are British or not. So pensioners will still die of cold under the BNP but they will only be non white ones.

The BNP can say what they like cant they? The can say they are going to raise pensions to £1000 a week, build mansions for the citizens of Eltham, put a stop to all terrorism blah blardy blah. They tend to be a bit light on how exactly they are going to do it though.

I cant wait. I will get to go to hosptial whenever I want, get any job I want, walk the streets in safety, not have to wait in a queue at the post office. I know this to be true because the BNP say so and they never make things up do they?

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 21/10/2009 20:12

Thanks dp for coming back and answering. Really appreciate it.

This is not really a question fired at you but more of a thought in my head and that is - if someone doesn't believe their policies about women, how could they reconcile voting for them? Labour are not perfect, I'm not a Labour person (although I think they have implemented some fab policies), or a Tory person. The party I support (SNP and that is a whole other thread ) also spout off a fair amount of tosh TBH but not discriminatory, not hateful.

And yes, the BNP say they will spend money on the British people. I wonder if this is after they have paid immigrants £50k each to go home.....and what about the tax and NI lost when those people do go home....ramble, ramble. The money doesn't add up, what services will they cut to pay for all of that?

More stuff from their so called 'white paper'....they will void Civil Partnerships and not allow same sex couples to adopt unless the child is a relative....if you are married you will be covered by the Married Mans Tax Allowance (not Couples Tax Allowance, but Mans!)....oh yes, and this little beauty "The BNP will discourage the formation of single-parent families as a career option for young women"....and that last sentence is a word for word quote from that paper.

I'm not looking for an argument at all. I just don't get it. I don't get how a woman, any woman in this day and age could support such policies.

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 20:14

LG;

i know i've lost you as a MN friend...and you know i wont be happy about that.. but you have to understand that the avarage BNP voter is sick to death of being pushed aside, they feel totally ignored... i doubt they see homosexuality as a matter of national importance tbh.

NinthWave · 21/10/2009 20:24

Mamadiva you really don't know very much about the benefits system, do you?

MammKernow · 21/10/2009 20:32

They don't have a good track record:

Nick Eriksen (BNP's candidates for the London-wide list) was the author of a far-right blog on which he had written: "Rape is simply sex. Women enjoy sex, so rape cannot be such a terrible ordeal.

"To suggest that rape, when conducted without violence, is a serious crime is like suggesting that force-feeding a woman chocolate cake is a heinous offence.

"A woman would be more inconvenienced by having her handbag snatched."

He withdrew from the election btw!

BadgersPaws · 21/10/2009 20:32

So a person who feels ignored is going to vote for a party of ignorance? A party who ignore facts, ignore history, ignore reason and ignore the compassion of the Christian faith that they claim to be supporting?

I can just about understand why someone would vote for them out of protest and anger.

But do they really support them?

Can all those voters really look a man who says the holocaust never happened in the eyes and think "yup, he's going to do a good job of running the country."

mamadiva · 21/10/2009 20:34

Oh good god this party does seem a bit worse everytime I see a new post! So they are against homosexuals too? Can't be having that my 2 best friend's are gay!

Ninth like I said I know nothing of the benefits system and I don't believe I claimed too, I was just stating my opinion not fact.

I also said the man whom I referred to about benefits told me himself about the benefits he recieves so maybe he was lying, I don't know he did'nt show me his entitlement letter

BadgersPaws · 21/10/2009 20:34

I've not heard that quote before MammKernow.

So BNP voters support a party that has candidates that say that having your handbag stolen is worse than rape!?!?
