OK it's fair enough to call for a debate and discussion on immigration.

However don't back the BNP because of that issue alone.

If I'm cold at night setting fire to my house will address the issue, but it will make a mighty fine mess of everything in the process.

The BNP are so stupid/ignorant/nasty that how can you trust them to deal with the problem?

These are people who deny the historical facts of the holocaust.

These are people who disagree with mixed race children (well that's every Anglo-Saxon child in trouble then).

These are people who managed to use foreign models in a poster calling for British jobs for British workers.

These are people who didn't see the problem is using a Polish flown Spitfire to advertise for them when they want to kick the Poles out.

How can anyone trust them with anything? I'd feel wary trusting them to tie their own shoe laces.

Oh and Nick Griffin has also criticised British RAF veterans for bombing Germany and compared the current Military leadership to Nazi war criminals.

And that last one is actually kind of weird since in Mr Griffin's mind they weren't criminals as the Holocaust never happened, but then he calls them criminals...

Oh, hang on, my mistake, I expected for a second the thoughts, utterances and policies of the BNP to make sense for even one second.

Let's not forget the classic footage of Nick Griffin addressing a KKK group in the USA and saying that they share values and goals with the BNP.

Someone posted earlier that Nick Griffin is scary because he's a 'clever' fascist. 'Clever'? Are you sure? Everything I've ever heard from the BNP - their own literature, their own members (including Griffin's own deputy) speaking - shows them to be utterly, utterly devoid of functioning brain matter.
I once read one of their policy documents and nearly wet myself laughing at how bad their use of English was. English! ENGLISH! They're fighting for the rights of the 'indigenous' population and they can't even speak the language properly, FFS. So 'clever' is the last word I would use to describe someone who could lead such a party.

For this reason I think it is an excellent thing to have them on QT so that they can hang themselves publicly.

Also I don't understand why there is such a furore about the BNP appearing on QT since they've already been broadcast on national media - the one appearance I recall was their dipstick deputy being interviewed on Nihal's show on the BBC Asian Network this summer.

It was hilarious. He was being evasive and slippery, but without the slick politico's media training, so he just looked like a fool. Ooh, I can't wait for Friday night's TV.

bodycolder - yes, I think you're right. Perhaps QT could open by playing that clip? Anyone know the producer - we could lobby for it - public service broadcasting and all that; they're surely obliged to listen to our requests?

You're right, she has a certain 'approach' to posting on these matters, and is one of those posters who'd rather argue till your eyes pop out than actually give proper consideration to what you're saying. So...just ignore her. It's what I do with posters like that. Makes life on MN sooooo much less unbearable.

As for those predatory immigrants, I say shoot them on sight. The lot of them. So that would leave us with about half the population of Wales and...nobody else! Neil Kinnock will at last get his chance to be PM!

Miflaw- I do agree that there are lots of lazy buggers who are born into this country (infact I think I mentioned it too) but I think they should be forced out to work before we start relying on other nationalities to cover our arses!

Maybe it's just my area but here we are pretty much out numbered by Polish people, most of whom have the people skills/manners of a shit smeared pig, and a lot of people here are getting angry about. I live in a small(ish) town of about 10,000 and most people are fed up of losing out on jobs or housing because of these peopl. I know atleast 20 Poles in this part who are here for 'the extra money' and 'money for nothing' which were their words not mine. I also know of 2 men who are here alone and get fmaily allowance for children who live in Poland, don't ask me how but they do it.

Personally I think the whole benefits system needs a serious overhaul regardless of scroungers nationality, the money needs to be given to those who genuinely need it not lazy folk or scammers.

And yes I do have a serious problem with Poles because of soem of their ahem 'values*.

Mamadiva, can I just ask you - do you remember the British Empire? Hmm. So, tell me again about your complaints against immigrants travelling aborad for financial reasons.

That's not to say we should have opened the doors for them to come here, but the Poles are definitely not 'scrounging' on as big a scale as the locals.

Here here, SomeGuy - I reckon I've met a hell of a lot more Poles that mamadiva since I lived there. I don't want to negate your concerns, however, mamadiva but I do want you to see this in the broad context in which it should be seen.

I know my reasoning with the Poles is a bit odd and I can assure you it has absolutely nothing to do with scrounging that is just a mere side line in comparison to my beliefs trust me!

I don't agree with Brits swamping other countries either for no more than financial gain.

Like I said if they are willing to work then fair enough but I do not think immigranta should get any benefits.

I may ahve stumbled across why I am not a BNP supporter... I seem to be against immigration itself rather than the immigrants
