I can't decide whether this is very sad or quite enterprising. A bit of both I think.

What did amaze me is that a medical professional endorsed her virginity at a press conference!

story here - warning, it's in the DM!

OP posts:

Quote from dittany:

'Violet - a good hard fuck is what you get if you're homeless and need a roof over your head is it? How super. That sounds closer to rape to me.'

Er, no. Rape is forcing sex on someone. A good hard fuck can be most enjoyable, for women as well as men. Well, for those of us who believe women are allowed to enjoy sex too, and who don't play the poor little downtrodden woman card the whole time.

Your posts are increasingly ridiculous dittany. The woman in the article made a choice - she hasn't been exploited - she's got what she wanted. As did the man.

tattifer · 13/05/2009 22:39

violet I think there are some very unreformed feminists out there who are probably secret agents for the misogynistic men they're always moaning about - they certainly give women a dodgy image. By women I mean the plural of woman W O M A N!!!!

Hopefully off for GHF soon so may not be here to respond to dittany's replies...

Stop going on about homeless women as if every one of them was someone you'd willingly give shelter to for the night and is an innocent victim of the nasty male dominated society around her. It's simplistic and patronising in the extreme.

Do you offer them all shelter when you pass them on the street corner of an evening?

tattifer · 13/05/2009 22:47

as for knowing what men who use prostitutes are like - yes love they're like your dad, your husband, the bloke who serves the beer at the local, and yes, the weird guy lives by the paper shop and sits muttering on the bus. I'm wondering what stereotype you have in mind for prostitutes? Sex workers, is actually the phrase.

tattifer · 13/05/2009 22:49

Would love to continue but DH wants to oppress me again (sigh)

tattifer how very un amusing

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 13/05/2009 23:13

no my husband would never pay for sex

Pan · 13/05/2009 23:19

[guffaw emocion]

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 13/05/2009 23:36

would you pan?

Pan · 13/05/2009 23:41

Nope. But it's a ahem....brave, claim to make for someone else.

Vittoria · 13/05/2009 23:43

PaulaY, just what does that have to do with this girls desision? What has ever happened to me or anyone else is irrelevant. This is an individual making her own choices, as individuals only can. She wasn't hurt by it and no one else has been.
The rest is fantasy.

Pan · 13/05/2009 23:45

akchewali, I'm not so sure when I think of how the circs could arise.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 13/05/2009 23:49

he is here now

...'would you pay for sex?'

response ' i cant f$%£ people who aren't into it so that's a no for starters'

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 13/05/2009 23:50

no vittoria

she 'says' it was fine in the article

time will tell

Pan · 13/05/2009 23:50

glad you're happy then.

Vittoria · 13/05/2009 23:51

Just watched Twilight too and - contrary to the email messages I keep getting from Ms Magazine - it most certianly isn't "anti-feminist".

Total human lust - the intoxication of falling in love - everything very well realised! Oh Edward! Now I'd pay 9k for a a night with him!!

Feminism is a totally backward movement now, constantly attacking women for making automous choices. I think I can only start to discuss these things in the terms of womens rights. 'Feminism' as a word is too bunged up with conservatism. It's nothing more a turgid ideology to me and many of my friends now.

Vittoria · 13/05/2009 23:51

Like I said PY, fantasy..

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 13/05/2009 23:53

fantasy suggests pleasure

this whole thing abhors me

fantasy for you vittoria - that's your choice

Vittoria · 13/05/2009 23:54

"fantasy suggests pleasure"

This is all just one big projection for you, isn;t it?

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 13/05/2009 23:54

?

violethill · 14/05/2009 07:54

dittany - I have never said I 'support prostitution' (whatever that may mean) so try reading the posts accurately rather than clutching at straws to try to push your misogynist views.

I said that a good hard fuck is not the same as masturbation. Which it isn't. You were the one who chose to equate that with rape. Says far more about you than me.

I enjoy a good hard fuck. But then I like men, and I see myself as equal to them, not as some poor little helpless exploited woman. I respect women. Simple.

Yo go back to the OP - she made a decision, got what she wanted from it,as did the man. No one has exploited anyone! The woman isn't complaining - she seems very happy with her decision. It's just a few misogynists like you dittany who can't respect her enough to make her own choices who are bleating.

I'm off to work now so may not be able to reply to dittany's predictable response, and may be having a GHF later
Hope you enjoyed your GHF tatts !!!

nooka · 14/05/2009 08:03

Well she didn't actually get what she wanted did she. She wanted £50k to be rescued al la Pretty Woman, and to have a really good first sexual experience with a "gentle, respectful and generous man". She got a night in Vienna, £8,800 and painful but apparently enjoyable sex.

Who knows what the man in question wanted or got out of it, as he is not in the picture.

I wonder if selling your body is so great why we aren't all advocating it for our daughters and encouraging it for our sons?
