The Restore Britain March seems to have gone pretty well today from what I can glean online.

It could be a faulty algorithm, but the trouble the PM seemed to think would happen doesn’t seem to have materialised. I’ve seen clips from the march where a diverse mix of people have marched, not just football hooligan types.

Unfortunately dd got caught up with these idiots.
Foul mounted, uneducated, hooligans. They were hordes of them getting on the same train as her. Telling a woman who politely asked them to mind their language as there were children present to ‘ Go and fuck yourself, bitch.’ Then screaming at a black woman to ‘Get the fuck out of our country.’
Dd felt very intimidated. Some of them insisted on speaking to her and felt they had the right to ask her where she was going.
They chanting and swearing whilst shouting support for Tommy Robinson.
Total scum.

I don’t believe I said he was but please correct me if I’m wrong.

"So much contempt on this thread for human beings that are white and British and therefore a safe target."

Do you think that white man marching beside the British flag and doing the nazi salute looks like a safe target?

TemperanceWest · 16/05/2026 22:24

xanthomelana · 16/05/2026 22:12

Does the woman doing a nazi salute look any different?

She is as stupid for doing it ironically/mockingly as the bloke doing it for real.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 16/05/2026 22:24

Notagaiin · 16/05/2026 22:16

Yes that’s what they mean. White British. Multiple reform people have clarified that for me online. In public they will claim that’s not what they mean.

But even if we pretend they mean all British born people can I ask @BatchCookBabe why should they be put ahead of someone who wasn’t born here but is resident here, may even have citizenship and may contribute to the nation in far more positive ways than “a British born ” person?

Well quite.

I am British but I'm also an immigrant. I have worked and paid taxes and NI for 25 years and counting. I daresay I've contributed more to this country and its economy than the flag-draped drunks I saw today. Why should I come second to them just because I wasn't born here?

xanthomelana · 16/05/2026 22:24

FoulBlister · 16/05/2026 22:18

Yes, plenty of women. But overwhelmingly men.

It's very silly of you to keep denying it. Why would you do that?

You are the one that seems to have a problem with women so you tell me? Like I said I’ve not seen what you are describing so I’m not going to make up a lie to answer you.

I suppose they were shouting “shoot him in the neck like Charlie Kirk” ironically as well 🙄

BlueWellieSocks · 16/05/2026 22:26

Nobody here would dare to speak so contemptuously of black groups of men or immigrant groups of men

Of course they would 🤣

Were you not around during the BLM protests?

"This Saturday’s march was smaller [than September's], according to early estimates, and did not attract the same high-profile foreign guests."

CNN.

Because Starmer banned them

I don't think that is acceptable either. Itis stooping to the level of the racist, grifting arsehole it is directed at.

Redflagsabounded · 16/05/2026 22:28

Looking down on the working class?

That's an argument in the same line as all brown cows are cows therefore all cows are brown. Most supporters of these movements are working class therefore most working class support these movements? Load of crap.

The working class has traditionally been left wing, anti fascist. Many of us still are. I strongly believe that unfortunately some of these people are simply racist, some are simply thick, some are neither but manipulated into blaming our county's woes on other people with little power instead of those with the real wealth and power, who could make massive changes, but benefit from all this division.

When? I don’t remember that happening.

LoserWinner · 16/05/2026 22:29

The whole thing was vile. I had to walk through the gathering crowds on my way to a meeting this morning, and loads of them were already drunk at 8.30am. They were noisy and aggressive yobs. When I walked home, the streets looked like a council tip with huge piles of beer cans, food wrappers and discarded waste. I wish they’d stay in their own towns and pollute their own streets with their waste, foul behaviour and disgusting views.

^^ this is exactly why most decent British people will have NOTHING to do with this march in London today.

These people do not represent us. They are a stain on this country. And yet those are the ones marching today with Yaxley Lennon.

You keep mentioning them, no one else on this thread is apart from you.

DogAnxiety · 16/05/2026 22:30

Are we seriously supposed to tolerate rage bait posts from people with a handle that translates as white black?? Seriously??

Hiddeninthetrees · 16/05/2026 22:32

Hasn't immigration dropped something like nearly 70% over the past few years? I don't think that's the main problem.

Too many people are too reliant on too many benefits (not necessarily through any fault of their own) and too many rich people are taking a lot of money out of the system. It's easy to blame immigrants though and will make Tommy and Farage and his friends lots of money. Everyone else will find life gets worse if Reform get in, including many of those who were there today.

Ah well, to more important matters, Eurovision main songs are done and I'm off to bed, I'll check the winners in the morning!

Since when was mentioning women a problem?

It's a valid question and worth investigating why such a low percentage of the marchers were women.

Fass · 16/05/2026 22:35

Brought my son home from a football match. It was embarrassing and intimidating. Totally drunk men swearing and swaggering around the place. Dropping litter and cans everywhere. Didn't see many women, just drunk horrible men. Protect our woman and kids my arse. Horrible.

Well go and investigate it seeing as you are the only one saying this. I know it must be very disappointing for you that the march went off without any trouble so you have to look for issues that are not there.

Interesting to note that the main funders for today's rally were neither British nor working class. What could they be trying to achieve by giving SYL money?
