It could be a faulty algorithm, but the trouble the PM seemed to think would happen doesn’t seem to have materialised. I’ve seen clips from the march where a diverse mix of people have marched, not just football hooligan types.

So much contempt on this thread for human beings that are white and British and therefore a safe target. Nobody here would dare to speak so contemptuously of black groups of men or immigrant groups of men.
They safe position of feeling comfy bullying white people is contributing to the demise of the two party system.
safe liberal guilt - ridden doormatism is ending its reign in a sea of snobbish dismay that non naice people are finally objecting to be trodden on.

No, I didn't say all men. I said overwhelmingly men.
I'm not telling myself anything. I'm asking you why you think it is?

Have you seen videos on the Daily Mail? So many men.

Why do you think that is?

No but I’ve seen plenty of videos on the daily express, sky news etc where they are interviewing women and asking them why they are there. I see your agenda that you are trying to push but it’s very different to what I’ve seen from today.

Lidianna · 16/05/2026 22:10

I say this completely innocently, and I am genuine.. I do not live in England.

Why are British people offended or ashamed by other British people taking to their capital to protest about their issues with the government? Be that the current PM, NHS shortages, illegal immigration.

It appears to scream of middle class looking down on the working class because they “don't have to worry, we don’t need NHS appointments, NHS dental treatments”

Ireland are standing up too, the housing system is broken, the homeless situation is unbelievable. Private rentals are extortionate, people cannot afford to live and support their families.

Obviously large scale protests are not seen as effective here on this forum but you’re obviously all well educated enough to dismiss and diminish the working class so what exactly are the suggestions?

WaffleParty · 16/05/2026 22:10

xanthomelana · 16/05/2026 21:45

Those 70 year old women there looked like proper thugs.

It was ordinary people from all walks of life coming together and I bet there’s people out there hating the fact that there was no trouble.

It’s not good when “ordinary people” start supporting a far right agenda. History shows us this.

Rosieposie200 · 16/05/2026 22:11

i am genuinely interested - what does putting British born people first mean? I can’t think of an instance where British born people aren’t looked after pretty well by the state… in what instance are they not bring ‘put first’? And who is being put first?

Does the bloke doing the nazi salute look like a safe target to you?

I agree @EvangelicalAboutButteredToast It went fine. Some people won't like to admit this though, and won't admit that not all people who are proud to be British, are massive uneducated bigoted racists. Some of them are well educated, sensible people who welcome diversity. They simply want British born people putting FIRST.

Sooo diversity but not equality.....right....

Does the woman doing a nazi salute look any different?

DuncinToffee · 16/05/2026 22:13

Then do as Tommy suggests and join a political party @Hunterova and prepare for 'battle of Britain'

I don't have an agenda.

I have eyes.

The Express and many other outlets have interviewed women at the march but ALL the photos and videos show the march is overwhelmingly made up of men.

Why do you think that is?

Marycontrarygarden · 16/05/2026 22:15

BatchCookBabe · 16/05/2026 21:14

OK, I'll bite.

Not all people who want British born people to be put FIRST for a change, are far right 🙄

And no-one is congratulating ANYone, people are merely pointing out that it's utter nonsense, that people who are not LEFT wing, are trouble makers, and uneducated knuckle-dragging thugs!

GoodkneeBadKnee · 16/05/2026 21:06

Don't you mean white British people first?

Yes that’s what they mean. White British. Multiple reform people have clarified that for me online. In public they will claim that’s not what they mean.

But even if we pretend they mean all British born people can I ask @BatchCookBabe why should they be put ahead of someone who wasn’t born here but is resident here, may even have citizenship and may contribute to the nation in far more positive ways than “a British born ” person?

I’ve not seen the same photos and videos as you so how can I possibly answer what I haven’t seen? You can keep asking but it’s a bit silly to keep on spouting the same line when I’ve told you umpteen times I’ve seen plenty of women there today.

VimesandhisCardboardBoots · 16/05/2026 20:28

I got caught up in the middle of it this afternoon, I've never seen a bigger bunch of drunken bell ends.

Oh do please post your video of this.

Fizbosshoes · 16/05/2026 22:18

Its pretty concerning that this many (educated) people of either gender are getting behind a far right extremist thug in a march ironically called unite the kingdom

It's very silly of you to keep denying it. Why would you do that?

They're not far right. They're ordinary British people. Remember?

Are they though. I know no-one that would go to anything like that.

There is a huge housing crisis, big waiting lists for medical treatment, difficulties getting a GP appointment. Shortage of school places for SEND children, helpfully exacerbated by the spiteful policy of imposing VAT on private schools, forcing many to close.
Thats before we even start on the out of control immigration issue

TonyGallaSoInLoveNsoul · 16/05/2026 22:21

@Hunterova not quite I was on fringes of extreme far right think along the lines of BNP, C18 so I do recognise racist rhetoric and symbolism when it's displayed.
The extreme far right have used the same tactics for decades.

I don't hate anyone one now ,if I don't like you it's not because of colour or religion.
It's because you're a prick.
Yes UK needs to get onto immigration but Farage and co and Tr are not the answer.
Your not their kind of people Farage is mates with millionaires and billionaires.

Don't be thinking getting rid of EHCR is only for brown people it would be all of us .
And funnily enough it would benefit big business .
