The Restore Britain March seems to have gone pretty well today from what I can glean online.

It could be a faulty algorithm, but the trouble the PM seemed to think would happen doesn’t seem to have materialised. I’ve seen clips from the march where a diverse mix of people have marched, not just football hooligan types.

I know there’s always a chance that trouble could break out once it starts to get dark, but I’m just heartened to see that this supposed far right march has stayed peaceful.

Changed tactics. Our Tommeh is saying get involved with voting, elections etc. The violence/hatred is still there but now is the time to change the optics so as not to scare the public. Tommy will be back on his plane to his foreign home to await further instruction.

Maybe wonder how a really small minority ie Jews feel when 2 years of weekly marches of people waving Palestinian flags and signs saying “globalise the intifada” feel?

Can't speak for all Jews but I wasn't massively reassured to see the fascist far right draped in flags on the streets of my home city and carrying anti Jewish racist placards to boot. Take your what-aboutery and your patronising attempt to speak for Jews somewhere else. We don't want your "support".

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 17/05/2026 09:26

I saw Kemi Badenoch saying that she too would have banned those international speakers from coming in.

I know of black people who attended. Gosh this place as usual is a sneering hot pot of middle class snobbery. Just read some of the posts what a huge majority on MN actually hate is the working class. Blindingly obvious, you can shout racist far right as much as you like to try and hide your snobbery. Doesn’t wash.

It's not about being middle or working class. It's about whether you're decent or a card carrying racist.

Reported.

You are very busy posting about reporting people, but you are not answering questions asked of you.

I don't think you are a bot as I have seen you around for ages on here. But I do wonder what your motive was in starting this thread. I never had you down as a Robinson sympathiser.

Well said. This thread is full of Emily Thornberrys.

Who do you think Tommy Robinson is in the employ of?

I wish I’d taken more notice if the Piers Morgan video I saw where a guy was being quizzed as to whether he took money from certain places and he was pretending he couldn’t hear. That stuff sounded interesting.

Yep. And theyre still wasting their time and energy doing their marches (also dwindlng) every weekend. When is it going to get through to them that most people in the UK dont care whats happening thousands of miles away, a sitation i might add was perpetuated by terrorists Hamas.

It’s an etiquette thing. You say it’s reported so other people don’t bother reporting as well and MNHQ don’t get multiple reports.

Poll conducted by Public First ahead of yesterday's march

Broadly unpopular in Britain - except among Reform UK supporters

He is barred from the Reform Party, as a former BNP member, but its supporters are split 35% approve & 31% disapprove

The Restore Britain March seems to have gone pretty well today from what I can glean online.

Well as someone said earlier on the thread, "jewish people are white" (which is false), therefore they dont matter in the eyes of many.

It's really weird but I find that the slightest bit of aggression from men at events like these is met with much opprobrium by some women, however, undocumented men with very different cultural values (not race, culture) towards women- much of which are extremely negative - are met with open arms by the very same women who expressed opprobrium to the men who attended the events they complained about.

What is the psychology behind this?

Love and kindness saving them or changing their minds or some such nonsense no doubt.
A nation of Wendys trying to save Peter Pan.

Not singling out you out for this. I don't know you at all, it is, however, something I've noticed with some British women.

I've never been sexually harassed or shouted at by drunk Muslim men, or even sober Muslim men, but I've definitely been on the receiving end of this from drunk and aggressive white men.

I have been sexually harassed by Muslim men, on more than one occasion.

Apparently not. Presumably that’s why that banner keeps getting ignored.

Now, what are your thoughts on that White Vanguard banner?

“we”? You elevate yourself. You don’t speak on behalf of Jewish people and attacks, murders and burning of ambulances haven’t been carried out by those white men draped in English flags and you don’t get to tell me who I can or cannot support.

Emily Thornberry got a bad rap for posting that photo. I wouldn't buy a house next to someone displaying a massive England flag either, and if I found out someone thought it was a good idea to display one, they wouldn't be on my Christmas card list, let's put it that way.

DuncinToffee · 17/05/2026 09:34

It's not an etiquette thing on MN to say you reported someone, it is recognised as an attempt to derail a thread when it isn't going your way

Pmsl. Why are people still personally attacking me when the posts are getting taken down as it’s against the rules of the site. It’s bizarre and they’ll just end up getting banned themselves.
