Absolutely shocking attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Crumpsall North Manchester. My heart goes out to all those hurt and affected by this terrible atrocity.

Jihad Al Shami literally means Jihad from Syria. He was Syrian, likely a former asylum seeker. We are importing and paying for our own murderers.

Unpleasant truth but there it is.

Agree. As an atheist, I’m grateful to live in a country where people have religious freedom.

A cowardly attack as well as horrific.

I agree.

I am Muslim and have always been proud to live in such a multicultural and diverse society. To me, as a British Muslim, I have always thought it wonderful that I have friends from all faiths and none.

It saddens me that there is so much hatred in our country and that Jewish people feel so threatened in their place of worship.

I've just seen that the attacker was a "muslim" and it makes me so angry as this is so far removed from the Islam I know, love and practise. How dare the attacker do this in my name? It is incomprehensible to me that someone could feel that it is morally ok to do this. Particularly if that person calls themselves religious. As a Muslims and Jews, we believe in one God - the same God- we are from the Abrahamic tradition. Why do people forget that we are all human first, regardless of religion? What about our common humanity?

My thoughts and prayers are with the Jewish community tonight, I am truly so sorry they have had to go through this, especially today of all days. xx

Sick, vile hate filled individuals. Arrest the lot of them. They dont hold any moral high ground. They are vile creatures.

The Palestinian Action lot, headed by a man who cheers October 7th, breathe sheep like followers with the silly chants completely captured. Cult like in their gatherings.

Yes to this. ^ And almost all of them have nothing to do with Palestine, and no connection with it whatsoever. Probably couldn't point it out on a map. Pure bandwagon jumping.

And as has been said before, in many cases, it's more about hating Jewish people than supporting Palestine...

clipboardz · 02/10/2025 21:54

@andgoodnessknows I just don't understand their motivation, it's so unnecessary. Yes that police response was nice to read about.

LunaDeBallona · 02/10/2025 21:55

clipboardz · 02/10/2025 21:47

So, yes, people do need to be reminded to not posts assumptions as facts.

Why were you telling me this though? I didn't post it was an islamist attack until it was confirmed.

You didn’t need to be Einstein to work it out though did you.
It was hardly a huge leap.
Seriously, in today’s current Great Britain with idiots spouting ‘genocide’, hate marches filled with anti semites many of whom wish death on every Jewish person who walks this earth - a dreadful attack happens on Jews, at a synagogue, on Yom Kippur, comitted by a bearded man wearing a possible suicide belt …..Christ, who else would the terrorist murderer be representing?
Hardly the Tooting Popular Front was it.🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

You’ve posted repeated lies:

  1. that I was the one who replied to you, when it was actually you inserting yourself into my posts to someone else
  2. That you posted a link to me in your second post to me. I have attached your first three posts, none of which had links. I responded to you after your third post.

Why do you persist in denying this?

Anyway, back to two Jews being killed in a terror attack while on their way to pray on their holiest day, and Jews nationwide mourning, scared and feeling unprotected.

nomas · 02/10/2025 21:55

clipboardz · 02/10/2025 21:52

Why do you persist in denying this?

The irony...

Again why are you here?

You don’t get to repeatedly lie and then demand an apology from me.

I see you’ve given that up at least.

@nomas you won't get an apology from me until you give me one after accusing me of misinformation.

You are dismissed now 🥱

clipboardz · 02/10/2025 21:58

@Jujujudo that poster isn't interested in that part of the thread!

MrsEmmelineLucas · 02/10/2025 21:59

I've just read a report about today's march in Manchester. Interesting that, instead of a Saturday, they chose today, Yom Kippur. I also noted a young man with his face covered in a keffiyeh. Not a good look.
Fiona Smith 42, who was on the march, said "I don't give a fuck about the Jewish community right now".
What lovely people.

You said your second post to me had a link. I posted your first 3 posts to me. None of them had a link.

Your ‘misinformation’ is there for all to see.

Maybe don’t post if you’re so sleepy you can’t even read what you’ve written.

Unfortunately I think today's terrorist attack is just a taste of what is coming.

The reality is that at some point the war in Gaza will come to an end. This is highly unlikely to be an end where Hamas win because that means Israel no longer exists, nor a deal where Hamas stay in power because that would simply mean a repeat of 7th October in a few years time.

So the war ends with the Hamas leadership in Gaza being removed from power. Now this can be done peacefully as proposed under the latest peace deal or if they refuse then forcibly which also means a lot more destruction and civilian deaths in Gaza.

In addition right now there are alot of people angry with Israel's actions in Gaza from pro Palestinian marches, protests, politicians being elected on pro Palestinian platforms, groups such as Palestine Action that not only attack British military equipment but also attacked a police officer with a sledge hammer and hospitalised her and lastly and more worryingly large numbers of people openly supporting Palestine Action despite it being a designated terrorist organisation.

Now finally getting to my point, when the war in Gaza finally ends, the angry protesters, pro Palestinian MPs, Palestine Action and their open supporters are not just going to go away and say well it's all over now. Instead they are going to remain angry at either the peace deal or the outcome of the war.

For a sizeable minority of them they will resort to physical violence or acts of destruction (which have already seen with Palestine Action) long after the war ends with support from angry former protesters.

It maybe a Jewish synagogue today but in the near future the physical attacks and destruction will spread to other parts of Britain.

Agree, this is or was one of the best things about Britain.

@nomas @clipboardz can you take your spat to dms or something. You're incredibly tedious to watch

Yes, clearly intelligence has been picking up a lot of chat so it's likely to escalate. And I posted a story upthread about an attack foiled the other day in Germany.

Careful you might be labelled a far right racist, genocide supporting fascist for pointing this out.
