This has to be the worst case of abuse against a child I have read

I am absolutely flabbergasted that this could have gone on and not one person reported it. Not the family members. Not the neighbours. Not the staff at school. This little girl had absolutely no one.

I’d never ever ever not report a child screaming and being constantly yelled at. It’s my duty

I don’t know how those neighbours can live with themselves

wizzywig · 18/10/2024 20:30

I see it all the time unfortunately

Well I waste an awful lot of time on here. Have done for 13 years, and I can honestly say I've never seen a potential abuse thread where the majority don't say report.

gestroopd · 18/10/2024 21:36

The death penalty is too good for these people. The other prisoners will know why they're in. I hope they live in the sort of fear they made her live in. And do NOT get released.

He is back in the UK, isn't he?? The dad??

Do you mean the dad that's standing trial? Yes he is back in the UK

OctaveoOctober · 18/10/2024 23:17

@VerityUnreasonble

Yes I agree call handler did well but he was also lucky the dad stayed on the phone so long and he missed the part about the car being at Heathrow then asking him whose car he was in in UK.

No, I wouldn't. And I already explained why above..

To explain AGAIN.
I'm not talking about executing anyone on remand, or people accused of theft, drug offences blah blah blah. I'd like convicted paedophiles and child killers to face capital punishment, rather than ridiculously short, lenient sentences that are no deterrent. Or on the rare occasion the sentence is a long one, to avoid the cost to society of keeping a convicted monster fed warm etc.
The type of people who could ever be accused, rightly or wrongly, of raping or murdering a child, are not the type of people I'd ever lose sleep over.

I understand what you mean, I don't agree, but hay-ho. Death penalty for those convicted of child rape or murder and if a small percentage of people are actually innocent, that's a price worth paying, even if those people happened to be you or one of your own family.

I think a consequence of the death penalty would be fewer convictions though. I think plenty of jury members would be too scared for convict, knowing the person would be executed, just in case they were wrong.

HildaHosmede · 18/10/2024 23:38

Failure to report should be something people are charged for imo.

Not the neighbours. They heard noises but saw an apparently well looked after child. There was doubt, lack of certainty.

The stepmothers sisters didn't have doubt though. They were fully aware, were outright told that the dad was beating the child black and blue and they did nothing.

It's very expensive to have the death penalty as there has to be an extensive appeal process. Americans sit on death row for decades. It's not a deterrent either, death penalty states have as many rapes, murders and child abuse cases as states without. This has all been discussed many times over on here.

rainfallpurevividcat · 18/10/2024 23:52

The disgusting family court system is to blame as well for placing the father's rights above the safety of a child.

deeahgwitch · 19/10/2024 00:23

I can't read the news reports.
It's just so bloody awful.
That beautiful child. 🥲

Another 2 children in the news today - one in Ireland, a little boy of 8, missing for two years ,but now believed to have been murdered two years ago when he was 6 and another wee girl, not yet 2 in Northern Ireland, murdered apparently.

Enigma52 · 19/10/2024 23:08

May the evil monsters, rot in hell!
I hope they get the living daylights beaten out of them in jail.

cofefefela · 19/10/2024 23:15

If you look at the school photo and the photo of her wearing makeup, you can see bruises. It’s really sad.

cofefefela · 19/10/2024 23:16

I wonder what fuelled them to go to Pakistan, because they didn’t stay on the run there. I wonder if they did something there like conceal evidence or something

cofefefela · 19/10/2024 23:22

I think it’s self righteous to criticise the neighbours in all this, as if they could have magically saved her. I had similar neighbours with what sounded like DV with children in the home, not once did the police come out when I reported them. The council immediately closed my noise complaint as normal domestic noise. I think it was only social services that seemed to take action but even then that was months after the fact, as opposed to an emergency visit. Chances are that the authorities may not have responded appropriately especially if the child outwardly looks okay as her injuries were hidden

howrudeforme · 01/11/2024 23:10

For me this is an example of where the parent’s hatred of the other parent totally outweighs his love for his child.

I hope the other children are returned to uk.

Enigma52 · 13/11/2024 13:17

I absolutely would not like to be a member of the jury on this case. Utterly horrific and mind blowing.

May the 3 of them, rot in hell!

Agree it is mind blowing

hattie43 · 13/11/2024 17:45

It's heartbreaking .

LisaJohnsonsFacebookMole · 13/11/2024 18:01

The stepmother got upset today and left court for a time. Pathetic worm of a human. If only Sara had got to leave instead of being tormented and tortured.

Whatkindof · 13/11/2024 18:05

I'm becoming sadly desensitised from seeing these stories so frequently.
I really truly wish we had the death penalty for child killers and paedophiles.

He'll be punished every day of his life in prison. Don't worry.

Sadly I agree with you, I know it shouldn’t be an eye for an eye, but it’s getting ridiculous..prison is too good for them..hang them n be done with it..it would help reduce the overcrowded prisons ..
appalled how this case has been handled..that poor child had no chance.

Um I have seen loads. “Butt out OP” “how about you offer to help the mum instead of reporting her” “my DC is autistic and has meltdowns and I live in fear of someone reporting - please don’t do this OP”.

Ok. Well like I said, I haven't. Not once

DyslexicPoster · 13/11/2024 19:31

Are all the facts out yet? I await Surrey's socail care involvement with interest. They have been indaqute which was well deserved. The children's director got her OBE recently. If school raise it up its all they do. They can't force SC to do its job.
